This is what I was getting at that one time when I said I think it’s normal for demigods to be like “well we’re no Percy and Annabeth, but…” etc etc. Because their friends and fellow demigods see them as having this permanent, unreachable standard of love and partnership. Especially since it’s built on years of famous battles, quests, and history together that everyone knows about and hears stories of. In the demigod world their relationship is treated like a legend in progress. They’re still alive, still grabbing lunch with friends on school breaks, but they’re already a mythic story everyone knows and refers to. And I think that it’s especially funny considering Percy and Annabeth spend most of their free time doing dumb shit at his apartment or running around on little side quests that make them scream at each other lol
