As an early Halloween treat for all the creative spooky month lovers in the Hogwarts Legacy fandom, here is a prompt list for this October to inspire your evil genius! Anyone is welcome to participate, just pick however many prompts you like and write, draw, make screenshots or anything else you can think of. Whether you use the obvious horror prompt of the day, decide to put an evil spin on a deceptively "nice" prompt or combine both of them is up to you.

Don't forget to tag your creations with #allhallowshogwarts on tumblr! There's also a collection on AO3 to add your fics to if you want.

Obviously, as this is a horror themed event, there's no limits or rules to what you may write or draw, feel free to be as depraved and gruesome in your creative endeavors as you want. Just remember to tag your works appropriately, don't play nasty tricks on your fellow fandom members who check out your works.

And finally, please do not use generative AI, you have a beautiful human brain that does all the same things except better.

What Lingers

The trees thinned ahead, opening into a large clearing. Raven slowed. Something felt different here, the air was heavier. Then she saw them. A small herd of Thestrals grazing nearby. Their black hides shimmered faintly in the muted light, as if absorbing it.

Raven froze. “Seb… what are those?”

She felt his posture shift when he stopped next to her.

“You can see them,” he said quietly.

“Of course I can see them. Why wouldn’t I?” “Well… Most people can’t,” he said. “Not unless they’ve… witnessed someone die.” The words landed like a stone dropped into still water. Raven then realized the dragon, the carriage… Mr. Osric’s scream swallowed by fire. “Oh,” she whispered. Then a faint hum stirred beneath her skin, soft at first, like a chord plucked inside her chest. The nearest Thestral lifted its head, its empty eyes locking onto her. Yet behind that unsettling gaze flickered something almost knowing. A faint, eerie gleam, as though the creature saw far more than the living ever could. Sebastian noticed at once. “Raven,” he murmured, stepping closer, “I think he’s reacting to you.”

She didn’t move. Slowly, she lifted her hand and the creature stepped forward with careful, silent grace. For one breathless moment, it only watched her. Then it lowered its head and brushed its snout against her palm. The contact was brief, feather‑light, yet it sent a shiver through her, as if the creature had acknowledged something hidden within her.

Sebastian didn’t take his eyes off it. His wand remained loose in his hand, not raised, but ready. He knew the story of the dragon at the poachers’ ring. If she could face a creature of that magnitude, a Thestral would hardly frighten her.

Still, he stayed close. Just in case.

Then, as quietly as it had approached, the Thestral huffed and turned away, folding itself back toward the herd. One by one, the creatures began slipping back into the trees. Their black hides melted into the gathering shadows, wings folding with soft leathery whispers.

Hello! Happy to have finally finish this! The reverse of Seb’s Catching Feelings lol. This second job has taken so much creative drive outta me, it’s hard wanting to draw but not having the energy to.

I did also start writing the next chapter of ToL📖 idk when I’ll have it posted.

Life update, just celebrated my daughter’s 4th bday party today. She wanted flamingo theme, her fav animal 🦩💖 & next weekend we’re going to San Diego’s Pride Festival. Mainly because Krewella is performing! I love em so much & haven’t seen them since 2017 in Hollywood. And San Diego Comic Con is at the end of the month! My 23rd😎
