Tarzan — How did the place your muse grew up in affect them?

     —  HER EARLIEST MEMORIES ARE OF TRAVELING THE WESTERN WIDTH of westeros from the isle of driftmark across to casterly rock and the foundling home when she was no older than three or four.   growing up in the foundling home gave her a cynical outlook towards most if not all nobles (or wealthy folks): they would walk passed the pale, dirty, hungry and scared children who were forced to beg for scraps of food as though they were invisible, noses wrinkled at the sight of them, mocking when they smelled because they had no place to bathe regularly...     master oakleaf and his family taught vida that she was less than and no more important than a plough horse; to be cursed at and beaten if she didn’t do her duties just so.    knowing of her heritage and why she was sent away only reinforced her low self esteem and she spent the first twenty years of her life all but believing she was a throwaway child, not even worthy of love or safety.

     —   HOWEVER SHE LEARNED MANY, MANY SKILLS GIVEN THAT SHE WAS DEPRIVED OF THE BASICS.   she can build her own shelter out of things found only in nature, she can sew her own clothes from scraps of ruined or discarded coth, cook meals with the discarded off-cuts of what the oakleaf family would eat.   she learned to slow cook in the ground with a cooking pit or earth oven, how to boil down the sea water for granules of salt, how to insulate her shelter with leaves and woven reeds, how to boil water clean to drink, how to keep herself away from predators and how to forage for resources.   these skills are invaluable, and would not have been learned if not for her upbringing.

The Princess and the Frog — Would your muse accept someone else’s help in fulfilling their dreams, or would they want to earn it for themselves?

    —   VIDA DOESN’T BELIEVE IN PEOPLE SIMPLY GIVING SOMETHING FOR NOTHING:  if anyone were to offer her help she would wonder what the catch is, and would likely refuse.   she likes to make her own way.

Moana — Does your muse believe in fate or destiny? What is theirs?

    ELLAVIDA WATERS, bastard daughter of house velaryon of driftmark.    known as vida, cursed with the unflinchingly purple eyes of her father she was sent away to the westerlands to a foundling home.  trained by an apothecary, she is now a fledgling herbalist.
