Don't Stare!

“Really? I… I see. Well, let’s… just hope we don’t get ambushed, shall we?”

So in other words, Nor’s powers only work when there’s light? Well, that does explain it, her powers are mostly light-based, after all.

Gently grabbing her hand, he gently led Nor to the Bamboo Forest, looking for Mystia.

“Can I ask you something, Miss Nor? Where did those feelings come from? Had you always have them, or is this something recent? I just thought we were friends, and that’s all…”

Not to mention the age difference-

She takes his hand, going into the darkness outside and her body depleting in strength. Her eyes felt heavy, her body felt heavy, everything felt heavy. The absence of the sun made everything so much more difficult. No doubt in her current state, Eri would be in complete control here as she puts every effort she could into each step trying to stay awake.

“Its been like that for a while. I only was able to convey it with teasing though... and you didn’t get it.” Her voice was monotone like a robot, emotionless and tired.

“Ah, you meant Miss Mystia, right? Yes, her food really is delicious! But yes, I don’t mind going! Although… I guess it really is dangerous at night, isn’t it?…”

Eri took a bit of a thought. If it was at night, he might need some kind of disguise, but… then again, this was a date, wasn’t it? He wasn’t too sure if Nor wanted him to be himself, or she didn’t mind him with a disguise for protection.

“Miss Nor, you’re much better at defending yourself than I am… You’re much stronger, and not to mention you’re also a… djinn, right? All I can do is just shapeshift…”

She nodded in return to his claim. Mystia sounded right. She wasn’t too sure really but she figured Eri would no better than her. Nor was completely diurnal and knew not of the night time activities. It was a shame given there was apparently also a ramen restaurant that appeared in the evening. But she couldn’t go out and do that. 

“H-Huh!? I didn’t mean anything like that! I mean, this is all so sudden, and… well, you’d be surprised, actually… Since most other girls prefer girls…”

“But… I guess I could accompany you for a while. Where would you like to go?”

He’s thinking it’s definitely one of Nor’s pranks again, but he’ll play along-

“M-Miss Nor, you don’t have to put it so… umm… crudely… But if you really want to say that, shouldn’t we be at least dating first before the marriage proposal?”

“W-Well, I don’t know about honest, Miss Nor… I’m a shapeshifter and an actor, so I do prank you and others from time to time… And you’re more dependable than I am. But… don’t you prefer women over guys like me?”

“Why?!”

“… What? “ That question completely caught her off guard as she lightly stumbled on the edge, nearly sliding down inside of the boat as it rocked slightly. Those cheeks of hers growing a bright flushed pink. “ N-no. I don’t think I have.. I…That’s a really unique question, Hikari. Ah.. though now that you mention it.. Can you hold my hand? “ She would slide it over once she regained her seat on the boat. 

“Well, you certainly know what to say don’t you? I admit, a pretty thing like you saying all these things. Quite a nice mix.

“Thats true.. and Ahh.. My mistake. I usually end up saying good bye since people always come to me to cross.. buuuuut if you’re wanting to stay. There’s no reason for us to not do that. “ 

“Yes yes.. it sounds like you have a fun time ahead of you regardless.. though I figure it’ll be a lot more boring if you cross to the ministry this way. It’d be boring. “ 

“Yeah.. Just float down, I think that’ll suffice as… “sitting” Haha. A soft nod as the shinigami acknowledged Nor. “Lots of things still left to do.. but in the end you didn’t get to achieve them huh?.. There’s quite a lot of souls who think like that around here. Its.. a bittersweet thought to have I always thought. “ A brief pause and slight sigh. “ No one ever expects it unless things are truly dire, I’m… a bit more regretful we didn’t get to spend as much time together as we did. Hikari. “ 

“Well, a blush can mean anything. Doesn’t mean it has to mean what you think. But I AM liking the comparison to rare gems cause I am like a rare gem.” You are blowing up her ego

“…Killing you sounds like an over reaction on her part.. but I don’t really know what happened between you two so I can’t.. really say much.“ She softly huffed a sigh, lightly rocking herself on the edge. “I guess it would be if you’re a new dead.. I’d say just float on down next to me. “ Another pat for the edge, Komachi quietly gazing at Nor. “Its been awhile since we seen each other.. though I guess I didn’t expect to meet you again like this. Hahaha. “ 

“Float down....” Not attempts to lower herself down, having difficulty to do so. She could move as literal light photons but not as a dead. With some energy, she finally lowered herself next to Komachi.

“…Noooo clue what a Djinni is, don’t really care. But if you say to take it slow, I’ll take it slow,” she said with a chuckle, stepping close to the woman. “You’re gonna have to bend down a bit if we’re gonna make out.”

“Oh my, getting right to it are we.” She was going to take this as far as she could, but she didn’t expect the girl to just catch on this quick--nor was Nor aware that the girl sucked mana via tongue.

“I’m starting to think it’s more of the nice body rather than the pretty face.” She notices that eye shift. “Well, not like I really care.”

“Whacha… mean.. Sakuya killed you? You sure this isn’t another one of your pranks- “ Komachi vaguely remembers being told about this.. “ …Right.. Do you want to sit down right here? “ She’ll just pat the spot next to her on the edge of the boat.
