There’s a small - okay, not that small part of Sharon that’s a little bit embarrassed to be bringing Sue in at such a weird time - 

The lobby’s security has been doubled since last week’s protest got out of hand and resulted in a couple of broken glass panels and a shitload of bad press, metal detectors lining the opening of the elevator bay and creating a bottleneck that’s made mornings a nightmare.  It feels a little… much to arrange for Sue to get escorted upstairs to Sharon’s office, so she opted to wait just outside the elevator bay for her instead, willing to endure her third pat-down of the day to make the point that just because she’s got That Office upstairs now, she’s not really above anything.

Even giving tours.  In fact, she’s kind of looking forward to it - a nice change, if nothing else.

Catching sight of Sharon, the sides of her mouth curved up in a warm smile, small heels clicking on the floor, resisting opening her arms for a friendly hug, instead resting a hand on Sharon’s arm for a moment.

(917): And we’ve got a pretty kickass science division, if I do say so myself.

(917): Don’t doubt it. Haven’t actually seen it but the other tech you have is pretty nice

(917): Honestly hoping this will all pass..

(917): Nothing I can’t handle.  Just sort of at the point where I wish I didn’t have to.

(917): It can’t be easy but someone has to do it, unfortunately that’s you

(917): I can’t blame them, but I bet they’re still having fun?

(917): One old man had the nerve to say I’d be “too sexy to teach”

(917): What year is it again?

(917): How are you?

(917): Getting by. Trying to get a new job.

(917): They’re doing well, missing their family though

          “Such as.” 

          “How beautiful.                   Hope you don’t get into trouble for getting these”.
