Lighthouses ... CLICK! 🖱️

This lighthouse parking garage used to be a part of First Baptist Church. It's modeled after Saint Augustine Lighthouse in Saint Augustine, Florida. I just read that it's going to be developed separately.

I saw it the first time in October 2017 when we were in town for the Florida-Georgia game.

I happened upon it this time in March 2019 on my way back from Mayport.

The website for Hunting Island State Park said the lighthouse was closed for construction until the end of 2025. I took my chances to at least see it even it it still had scaffolding. It was also raining.

This post has been sitting in my drafts for a while. I've already posted the lighthouse photos but never clicked "Post" on this one.

Back in October, I went to Maine to do the Bar Harbor Grand Slam Lighthouse Cruise. I found out about the as I was posting the flyer to the United States Lighthouse Society's Instagram account. (I've been posting there as a volunteer since 2019.)

Well, it's faux lighthouse but still.

The lighthouse is modeled after the at Hooper’s Straight Lighthouse which is located at Chesapeake Bay Marine Museum in Saint Michaels, Maryland.

I stayed in the Captain Sinclair Suite (top floor) in the Lighthouse at Smithfield Station in Smithfield, Virginia. When you stay in the top suite, you get access to the lighthouse stairs and cupola.
