I think in Germany the Problem at least partialy is that we never changed the gk choach since the Angerer days. Like nothing against Fuchs personaly ( he seens like a great guy) but can you really teach a style of goalkeeping you never played/ never learned in your training to become a gk choach. Like they're is a reason why akb is questioning a lot of his training Methods and is basicly self organizing her pass warm up.
Its also creats Problems in the next Generation of gk choaches because they learned from him and are applying the same Methods as him and is Not getting questioned because the german Media is overhyping the young gks and say we don't have an issue and we most definitivly Do.
Mean there we're people within the dfb who went to the Zeit to say that they don't think akb should be number 1 because her way of playing is too risky.
Yeah sorry when higher ups think like this nobody will never be confident enough to make Real changes because they have to worry about they're Job and being underestimated every chances the DFB gets and i don't think any qualified gk choach would throw then self in an evoiment which doesen't have they're back and can just go to the Media to publicly campain against them.
They're so extremly lucky that akb is a saint who forgave them for all the shit they put her through doing the euros for no reason and making it harder for her and her family. Like i haven't heard a Word of appology from wück for his totaly unneccasary comments at the pk or from künzer for DFB higher ups going to the press behind her back to question akbs playing style, which lead to the abuse she faced in the streets/ online. Which all happend while her fiance was going through a racist hate campain and she was trying to encourage her that the streets are safe while being herrsssed on them herself.

You definitely have a point here! I mean, it’s not a secret that AKB often disagrees with Fuchs (despite having deep respect for him!). She also hinted at it in her book. That doesn’t mean we should immediately get rid of him ofc. But maybe a few other perspectives would be good as well.
The media definitely plays a role here. While the trainer is normally the first person being target, Fuchs completely disappears here. Instead, the full focus is on the goalkeepers themselves. At the same time, the focus often seems very misplaced.
The campaign against AKB was simply ridiculous. Even if her way of playing was to risky - it still would have been wrong to discuss it like this. The DFB can indeed count their lucky stars that Anne simply ignored this bs. Even took it with a smile occasionally.
I have no idea what happens behind close doors. The dfb is a mystery to me in many regards. But it looks like there are a lot of powerful men who care more scoot themselves than about the team.

What is wrong with some anons? I mean, I’m used to people here hating me because of my nationality and thinking all Germans are Nazis, but saying that a relative of yours deserved to die is absolutely disgusting.
People on here spreading hate is a huge problem in general. I know that they are the minority. But at times they can get really loud. And at this point, I’m pretty strict with just blocking trolls out but imagine someone trying to start their own blog…no wonder so many people on here leave. Which is sad bc Reddit or X aren’t really better in this regard.
