My heart is fucking racing right now. I nearly got caught lifting from an IGA (it's a smaller chain store in Australia dw) close to my house. It's one that I barely go to but holy fucking shit it was terrifying.

I've successfully lifted from there before but today something just felt... off. The workers were in all black and they so they were easy to spot but they blended into the place well. I thought I was being sneaky but there are a lot of cameras (one on either side of each aisle) so it's always risky to lift there. Plus, my bag didn't have a zipper so it was easier to see what was in there. And I didn't even bring my wallet so I wouldn't have been able to pay if I got caught.

I saw workers coming out one after the other. A few of them all over the shop. I felt like I was being watched. There's a man standing close to the front of the door. He's eyeing me and I feel a knot in my stomach. It doesn't go away. After browsing the store for a while with some of the store items in my bag, I knew those fuckers weren't gonna let me go before checking my bag so I ditched the items, placing them in the aisles, and I headed to the door. I smiled at the guy near the door and he waved me over.

My suspicions were right. He wanted to see what was inside my bag. Thank fuck I dropped the items before I left... I showed him my bag and left the store, feeling incredibly anxious and guilty.

I'm at home now and my stomach is still in knots. I need to stick to larger stores with better blind spots.

Just recently, I went downstairs in a bookstore to conceal because there's a HUGE blindspot and no one usually goes there. And right after I walked the stairs up again an employee started watching me for a few seconds. Maybe I was overreacting, but I got scared that she might have noticed that one of the books I was holding previously was missing. There was also suddenly a lot more going on since I came back up, which made it really difficult to distinguish SA's from customers and I got paranoid that they're on to me. I decided to wait a little and see if anyone keeps watching me or if I'm being paranoid since there wasn't really a spot for me to take the book out of my bag.

Luckily, I stayed calm and slowly walked closer to the entrance while acting like I'm browsing and watched the situation out of the corner of my eyes. After I saw that no one was watching me I got out while the employees were busy with customers. But yeah, I'll probably wait a while until I go there again and hope that this employee won't recognize me when I'm styled differently just in case.

My friend is an experienced 🏋🏻‍♀️ and has been doing this for years now at multiple different stores INCLUDING C|41r3$ . So they didn’t think anything of going in there to 🏋🏻‍♀️ as it’s been very easy in the past for them.

It’s very busy when we’re in there and we each have two items that we’re trying to conceal near the plushies rack. I simply dropped my items into my shopping bag (which I thought i was more risky as I sorta fumbled trying to open my bag wide enough to drop my items in) and my friend put their two jewelry items into their personal bag.

We’re talking as we’re doing this to make it seem less obvious that we’re taking and an older lady who works there comes up to me and says “Are you going to pay for that item?” Which I thought she was talking to me first, but she was actually directing that to my friend.

We both pretend to act confused and the lady then says to my friend “Well? Where’s the other item?”

Which my friend lies saying they left it somewhere. the woman responds with “Ok. Show me where you left it.”

My friend is now trying to fake search within the plushies to “find” the item which they then say “Uh, I don’t know where it is actually” the lady responds “You can go ahead and take it out of that bag of yours” which my friend proceeds to do.

The lady tells my friend to leave the store, so we both leave. I don’t think she suspected me otherwise I think she would’ve said something to me as well.

I thought that in most places employees can’t approach you and accuse you of stealing? But idk, maybe ç|41r3š are different…

She actually really hurt my arm because she was so aggressive as if I had done anything to her personally. I mean, she was employed at a very successful corporate chain in a low thæft area, but for some reason little me not paying for some little (probably less than 20$) things gave her the urge to physically hurt me.

I kept seeing lists like this for USA/ UK/ Canada & Australia but never for Europe. Like whole Europe, so here we go. Keep in mind that every shop is different, this is based on my OWN personal experience. Scoop your local shops before.

Super/ Hypermarkets

AUCHAN 2/10 - cameras only in electronics part. Love to lift make up from there, i conceal while walking towards beverages/ snacks. RFID tags on some make-up, but can easily be peeled and eventually be stick to a random carton box somewhere. Can’t do walkouts. 

Carrefour 3/10 if you don’t go for make-up. - in my local one, the make up section has its own towers and checkout. It’s good for non-make-up small items. Cameras only in electronic section. Can’t walkout.

Kaufland - 5-6/10 pumped up with cameras everywhere, I did not try to lift from there.

LIDL - 5-6/10 same as above.

Make-up/ drugstores

D&M - 4/10 I didn’t lift from there, but someone i know did. Plenty of cameras, didn’t spot a blindspot, I’d conceal while walking.

Douglas - 6/10 I got sussed so fucking hard years before I started lifting. I assume it’s pumped with cameras. I woudn’t try if I woudn’t have experience.

Sephora - 8/10 My local Sephora is pumped with cameras and LP. I woudn’t.

Clothing

H&M - 2-3/10 if you have magnet. magnet tags. Unattended changing rooms, the changing rooms have a lot of clothes in it. I’d go when it’s busy. 

Berska - 3/10 hook tags. Same as above.

Stradivarius - 4/10 hook tags. LP is quite insistent.

Pull & Bear - 3/10 hook tags.  

Sinsay - 1/10. Guys, I can’t tell you how grateful I am for Sinsay. My first lift was there. My local sinsays have carton tags with “alarm security” and that’s all. No RFIDs. No hard tags. No LP. Even not cameras my dudes. If you know when to go (my favorite time is Friday - Sunday afternoons.) you will find busy SAs, unattended changing rooms full of clothes! It’s basically all you can eat in lifting form!

TerraNova - 2/10 hook tags. The SAs seemed pretty uninterested.

Zara - 4/10 hook tags. LP walking IN the shop.

LC Waikiki - 3/10 hook tags. The shop is quite big, the changing rooms are unattended.

Special category for

Jumbo - 1/10. Carton tags with “alarm security”, nothing else. Go when busy, conceal while walking

Rewe - 4-5/10. There’s a lot of cameras, but if you’re slick you can find blindspots rather easily. But be careful because theres a LOT of staff walking around, like, a LOT.

Peek & Cloppenburg - 3-4/10. The staff is usually busy and there’s often a ton of clothes in the changing rooms. Lot’s of clothes there are untagged, but the expensive ones are. Blindspots can be found. Sometimes the staff watches the changing rooms closely.

Nanunana - 2/10. If even. Little staff, they’re usually on the counter. Little to no cameras. Almost only paper tags. No towers. No security. You could legit just fill a bag and walk out.

NewYorker - 4/10. Cameras and towers are given. Most stuff requires a magnet or a hook, little is untagged, but some is. Staff isn’t that attentive. But there’s electronics in the changing rooms that say they go off if you remove tags to prevent theft, i never tried it before but i don’t think i will either.

Combi - 4/10. Packed with cameras but not that much staff, some blindspots. No towers and i dont think anything there is tagged since why would it be. Super easy to pretend you’re scanning something at self checkout, but you have to pay for at least one thing to get out since you have to scan your receipt. (Not sure if you can use a receipt more than once.)

Ernsting‘s family - 6/10, Highly depends. Many different store sizes, not completely packed with cameras but in small stores it’s extremely hard to find blind spots. Nearly everything is tagged and theres towers at the front. Dressing rooms unattended but small in size as well as most likely not more than two in one store, and they have things in the dressing rooms that apparently beep when you remove tags from clothing (At least they say they do; i‘ve never tried it and will likely never try either.).

Edeka - 8/10. Absolutely packed with cameras, its unreal. Like, try finding a blind spot, good luck. Lots of emoloyees running around and its always super busy, would not recommend, conceal while walking. Not tagged and no towers.

Lesezeichen - 1/10. Insanely easy. Go at the right time its all free. most of the time theres not that many employees, no cameras AT ALL, and if it has two stories - you‘ve won at life. Like seriously, i went there the other day and there was no one on the second floor so i could easily body conceal some books and plushies they had. Also no tags and no towers. Absolutely no security.

do not admit to shit no matter what they tell you if they say they have it on camera and threaten to call còps, leave the store, get out of the area and let them. if they have no legal Authority do not cooperate ever!! as long as they visibly are còps or tell you they are law enforcement you can basically tell them to f*ck off and leave the store and you will be fine I promise.

if you get stopped by anyone other than a legal officer just leave get out of there. do not get scared they cannot hurt you no matter what they threaten as long as they're not putting you in handcuffs I promise you're fine do not cooperate NO NOT. COOPERATE. UNLESS THEY ARE COPS.

i actually got caught this day, (lmk if you want a story time of that lmao) but my friend and i just went to another mall and got stuff.

So I went into a LV stand alone store, I didn’t actually go in with the intention of lifting just had some time to kill so went in for a browse.

So the first thing I notice is the amount of products out on display, not locked in drawers or in glass counters. Then I notice that there’s no security person by the door or else where in the store. Next thing I notice is no (visible) cameras, and then that there’s about 2 members on the shop floor.

The store is split into two levels and I’d already picked out my concealing spot. So I wonder over to the wallets, pick a few up, look inside to check for tags and to appear as though I’m genuinely interested in the item. Then whoop, there is goes under my armpit (favourite method).
