Iâm officially switching from this blog on mobile to my rebooted Rey blog @liftingrocks, follow me there if youâd like to continue interacting, I will be available over there in tumblr IM or on discord for mutuals!
I T T A K E S A N D T A K E S ââ âąÂ Independent, private & selective Rey from Disneyâs Star Wars the Sequel Trilogy. Canon & Canon Divergent presentation with inspiration drawn from the films, books, headcanon and personally developed AUs âąââÂ
Now that I have my laptop back Iâll be following people from the new Rey blog @liftingrocks and Iâll get back to writing.
This is for the new carrd, but because the reboot is nowhere near ready I thought Iâd show this off here. I decided on a datapad like theme for at least Reyâs basic information. This is the fourth complete redo of it, so hopefully I donât stare at it until i hate it this time XD

After three years on this blog I am going to be rebooting Rey. I think itâs what I need to get back into the flow of things after the past few months Iâve had. If you are attached to any thread we have just send me a quick message here as I will still be logged in here on mobile until the new blog is up and running! Otherwise I will be picking and choosing what I want to continue. I will also be following people I would like to continue writing with! If youâd like to beat me to that the new blog can be found here.Â

HIS STATUS AS A JEDI WAS ONLY RUMORED BEYOND the walls of the Resistance ,  he often took his motherâs last name to confuse the First Order as to the status of his survival .  some believed that Ben Solo ,  the child of Han Solo and Leia Organa ,  was one of the many who died at Luke Skywalkerâs academy ,  some believed he was off gallivanting across the galaxy looking for his uncle ,  or other Jedi .  it wasnât completely off the mark in the case of the latter .
IT WAS A WELL KNOWN RUMOR THAT THE RESISTANCE had a Jedi ,  other than Skywalker ,  in their numbers .  Leia had felt that it was best to continue to let the galaxy ,  and the First Order ,  speculate for as long as they could manage .  especially after it was discovered that Snoke had been the one to torment her son for all his life .  to try to pull him towards the Dark Side of the Force ,  like his grandfather before .  especially after he nearly succeeded the night the academy was attacked .  when only a split second decision had brought him to the Resistance rather than the First Order .
WHILE IT WAS HARD TO KEEP HIS HEAD DOWN WHILE helping to lead the Resistance ,  especially as a Jedi ,  Ben had managed just fine over the years .  doing his part to aid the Resistance and try to pull more to their cause while looking for his uncle .  his own bitterness and reservations set aside for the sake of the cause and safety of the galaxy .  chasing after any little disturbance and any little lead for the missing Jedi .  he thought he had gotten close a while ago ,  but it was gone as quick as it came ,  and then Rey arrived .  called there by something she wouldnât say ,  or didnât know .  he wasnât sure about her ,  but he wouldnât deny and say that there wasnât something about her that seemed âŠÂ  familiar ,  comfortable almost .
DARK EYES GLANCE DOWN AT THE MOVEMENT OF HER hands ,  brows raising steadily in surprise at the first hint of a familiar sort of weapon   â   one of the same variety hung at his own waist ,  of course ,  design influenced by Alderaanian designs and light grey in color ,  with a blue blade coming from a single emitter .  as hers ignites with a curious yellow ,  heâs even more surprised .  this girls just seems to get more and more interesting .
â   Luke Skywalker has remained hidden for all these years for a reason ,  itâs impossible to track him .  do you think iâve been sitting here searching the holonet all this time looking for him ?  my uncle knows the ways of the Force better than you or i .  â   Ben didnât know of any woman who mightâve known Luke around the time of the attack on the academy .  then again ,  it would appear he hadnât known his uncle very well ,  if the events of that night were any indication .  while he doubted that the First Order could find him before them ,  the General in him knew that they couldnât take that chance .
â   whatever the reason youâre here ,  youâre here now ,  and going out blindly isnât a smart move .  certainly not safe .  if Snoke isnât aware of you yet ,  itâs only a matter of time before he is .  â   Ben wanted to ask more about this information given ,  about what had drawn her there ,  to him ,  and why it didnât confuse him more than it shouldâve .   â   look âŠÂ  i know ,  we need to find him ,  now more than ever âŠÂ  i really shouldnât be saying this ,  but we think we mightâve found a clue as to where Skywalker might be .  â
Benâs  surprise  causes  a  small  amount  of  surprise  to  rise  in  Rey.  Sheâd  suspected  for  a  while  that  Ben  or  Leia  had  caught  on  to  her,  sheâd  been  using  the  Force  in  small  increments,  trying  to  keep  her  skills  as  sharp  as  she  could  in  case  something  happened.  The  ripples  she  created  in  the  Force  were  as  small  as  she  could  make  them,  but  from  what  she  had  seen  Ben  himself  appeared  to  be  extremely  sensitive  to  any  shift  in  the  Force.  Perhaps  he  wasnât  able  to  track  it  back  to  her?
â  I  didnât  say  you  arenât  doing  anything.  â   She  retorts,  looking  him  dead  in  the  eye,  head  tilted  up  slightly  to  do  so.  The  difference  in  height  more  infuriating  than  it  typically  was  in  this  moment.    â  But  I  seriously  doubt  youâll  find  anything  on  the  holonet.  If  he  isnât  moving  from  place  to  place,  which  I  highly  doubt  he  would  be,  the  holonet  is  going  to  be  a  continuous  dead  end.  â Snoke.  The  name  causes  a  shiver  to  run  down  her  spine,  jaw  tensing.  Sheâd  gone  into  hiding  for  more  than  one  reason,  but  the  main  one  was  that  itâs  been  common  knowledge  for  a  while  that  The  First  Order  was  trying  to  rapidly  track  down  Force  Sensitives,  killing  those  that  refused  to  join  their  ranks  or  those  that  weren't  deemed  powerful  enough.  Rey  knew  Ben  was  right,  Snoke  was  just  as  sensitive  as  the  next,  heâd  pick  up  on  her  sooner  or  later,  if  he  hadnât  already,  but  she  was  starting  to  feel  more  and  more  like  a  sitting  duck  just  hiding  behind  the  walls  of  the  base. â  If  Snoke  is  aware  of  me  it  isnât  safe  anywhere.  â  Rey  had  only  heard  whispers  of  the  hold  Snoke  had  on  Ben  at  one  point,  as  far  as  she  was  concerned  it  was  simply  speculation,  she  doubted  he  spoke  to  anyone  about  such  matters,  but  something  told  her  by  the  way  he  spoke  of  the  Supreme  Leader  that  the  speculation  wasnât  entirely  wrong.  She  wants  to  pry  a  little  bit  more  into  the  topic  but  the  following  information  about  Luke  puts  those  questions  on  the  back  burner  of  her  mind.    â  Mightâve,  or  have?  â  Sheâs  being  more  demanding  than  she  probably  should  be,  aware  that  her  station  is  far  below  his  in  the  eyes  of  the  Resistance,  still  a  Nobody,  someone  that  turned  up  on  their  doorstep  seemingly  out  of  the  blue,  Jedi  or  not,  but  sheâs  confident  Ben  would  put  her  in  her  place  if  she  was  really  out  of  line.
â  If  you  really  think  its  a  bad  idea  to  leave  now,  Iâll  stay  butâŠI  at  least  need  to  talk  to  your  mother.  I  donât  wanât  to  be  thrown  to  the  front  of  this  war...however,  she  should  know.  â  If  she  doesnât  already.  She  thinks  to  herself.  â  And  I  want  to  go  with  you,  whenever  you  follow  this  clue  you  may  or  may  not  have.  I  deserve  to  know  what  happened.  â   Â

â   it will take time to convince the others ,  this way will bring less scrutiny to us both ,  i assure you .  â   there were those who would question him ,  Hux would be his biggest issue .  and there was something about Pryde he did not like âŠÂ  there was more to that man than met the eye .    â   no ,  they arenât .  iâve already filed their complaints .  however ,  should you feel the need you can come back here  ,  and they have requested that you stop by for a check - up at some point .  â   a request from them ,  not so much from him .    â   i can arrange that ,  but in the meantime ,  you will accompany me to the bridge .  i will introduce you to the high command as my apprentice .  âÂ
Ben caught the thought and rolled his eyes in response  .  Donât take it personal ,  iâve also kept my own mother in the dark .  it had to be this way  .
Sheâd  already  learned  more  than  she  knew  from  Kylo  through  their  bond,  but  the  idea  of  being  considered  his  apprentice  made  her  a  little  bit  uneasy.  Not  because  she  is  unwilling  to  learn  from  him,  sheâs  proven  quite  the  opposite,  more  so  because  sheâs  bounced  from  master  to  master  in  such  a  short  period  of  time  and  in  the  end  has  trained  herself  more  than  anyone  else  has,  for  some  reason  sheâs  convinced  this  will  be  no  different.
Kyloâs  plan  explained  the  dark  clothing  that  was  brought  into  her  room  without  a  word  at  some  point  while  she  was  still  asleep  that  she  had  been  ignoring  up  to  this  point,  eyes  glancing  over  at  it.  She  swallows,  knowing  full  well  sheâs  risking  a  true  fall  to  the  dark  side,  not  that  she  had  been,  or  would  be  honest  about  that  struggle  unless  she  needed  to  be. Â
In  a  split  second  those  clothes  are  in  her  hand,  even  that  small  use  of  the  Force  straining  her,  a  small  wince  the  only  indication. â  Fine.  â  Clothes  hugged  to  her  chest  she  pushes  past  him  to  the  bathroom  attached  to  what  has  been  serving  as  her  recovery  room  and  her  prison  cell,  reappearing  in  the  assortment  of  black  clothing,  opting  to  leave  her  hair  down,  hand  instinctually  going  to  her  hip  to  check  for  a  lightsaber  that  wasnât  there.  It  made  sense  in  more  than  one  way  that  Kylo  was  leaving  her  weaponless,  she  could  hardly  use  the  lightsaber  she  had  been  up  to  this  point,  sheâd  need  a  new  one,  however,  you  come  about  getting  one,  or  making  one  was  beyond  her  though.  Anakinâs  had  practically  chosen  her. â  Lead  the  way.  â  Rey  gives  him  a  knowing  look,  she  could  make  her  way  to  the  bridge  herself,  having  committed  most  of  his  ship  to  memory  at  this  point  save  for  a  few  service  hallways  and  storage  areas.  Still,  she  falls  into  step  beside  him  as  if  the  halls  around  her  are  unfamiliar,  ignoring  the  confused  looks  from  officers  and  other  staff  alike  who  have  only  known  her  as  the  problematic  Resistance  Jedi.  It  didn't  have  to  be  this  way.  The  bond...you've  known  for  a  while  you  can  trust  me. Â
â  Iâm  assuming  theyâre  expecting  us?  â

While Ben's reasoning made complete sense, and Rey knew they couldn't just jump into this like they weren't at each other's throats since she was conscious enough to argue with him, being put under restrictions as Ben had so nicely put it wasn't exactly sitting well with her either.
â Restrictions are one way to put it. â She grumbles a little bit. Staying in the infirmary seemed like the preferable option since she is still technically healing, and even now, shifting to get off of the bed and grab her water from the table across the small room hurt more than she cared to admit. â I don't think the medics are keen to discharge me just yet. Until then, I at least need a datapad, you can restrict my access, but I need to know what's going on to a certain extent if I'm going to be helpful in the meantime. Does that seem like a fair agreement? â I have to start somewhere, since someone has been keeping me in the dark. She lets the thought freely pass through the bond, raising her eyebrow at him.

He sees the woman whoâs been staring at the courtyardâs tree too long â in awe or confusion, he canât tell. He debates saying anything, as the pair didnât exactly get off on the right foot the first time. He sighs, breaking the silence anyways,  â  Thatâs the wishing tree.  â  Ribbon littered its branches, more clumped near the bottom where children could reach, but the top was still far from scarce.  â  Local tradition.  â
Rey  shifts  slightly  when  the  man  approaches  her,  arms  crossing  over  her  chest  in  a  rather  casual  movement,  still  not  too  keen  to  trust  him  and  still  not  under  any  circumstances  happy  or  over  the  whole  situation  with  the  Falcon.
â  Are  you  following  me  now?  â  She  questions,  but  her  voice  is  friendlier  than  in  their  first  encounter.  With  a  sigh,  the  Jedi  looks  back  at  the  tree.  Jakku  never  had  any  traditions  like  that,  though  the  desert  planet  hardly  had  a  culture  at  all,  if  any.
â  It  seems  like  a  beautiful  tradition.  Jakku  never  had  anything  like  this.  What  do  you  do  with  the  wishing  tree?â

He was no stranger to scars, either. There were ones he could remember how he got and others that he couldnât. Poe figured he would only get more before he ever thought of slowing down. The stories sometimes were more interesting to hear, but he worried maybe it was a more personal story.
Letting out a low whistle at her story. He could only imagine how confused she would have been waking up after that fall. âThat seems like not only a nasty fall but a hard recovery. Iâve had broken ribs and those are no joke at all. Did it make you scared of heights or anything?â Poe asked. Given his own experiences, Poe knew that he never wanted to be near the wrong end of a Zhaboka after his first time. That had been one time too many and had nearly been the last.
âHow far did you fall?â Those ruins couldnât be easy to climb and he could only imagine how high she could have gotten. Still, Poe wondered about the rain in the desert. What that must have been like to experience, especially if it didnât happen often. Poe had grown up hearing heart and storm, using them to fall asleep sometimes.
âIâm glad BB could find you..â
There  are  very  few  things  that  Rey  is  afraid  of,  and  none  of  those  things  came  from  any  of  her  horrible  falls  or  tumbles  that  she  took  in  large  ships.  Most  came  from  people  or  events  that  had  happened  to  her  out  of  her  control;  at  least  when  she  fell  or  cut  herself  on  something  accidentally,  she  still  had  some  control  of  the  situation  was  able  to  cope  with  that.
â  You  can't  be  scared  of  heights  when  you're  a  scavenger.  â  Some  of  the  stories  Rey  could  tell  Poe  about  what  she  did  and  went  through  on  Jakku,  though  she's  sure  the  pilot  had  many  of  his  own  from  before  he  found  his  way  to  the  Resistance.  It  was  one  of  the  things  she  loved  about  the  Resistance.  Everyone  had  some  kind  of  story,  good  or  bad;  it  led  them  all  to  the  same  place,  fighting  for  the  same  thing.  â  I  fell  from  what  would  have  been  the  top  level  to  the  second  or  third.  â
There  was  no  way  she  would  have  survived  the  fall  if  she  hadn't  slowed  the  descent  with  what  she  now  knows  is  the  Force,  her  connection  to  the  Force  awakening  slowly  before  she  encountered  Kylo  Ren.  â  Mmm.  â  She  hums  softly.  â  Everyone  says  I  saved  BB8,  but  I  think  BB8  is  the  one  who  saved  me.  I  don't  think  I  would  have  ever  left  Jakku  if  that  hadn't  happened.  â

HIS SECOND SEARCH ONCE AGAIN YIELDED NO DAMNING findings .  no news had reached the First Order about Jedi sightings ,  or their Supreme Leader being spotted on some backwater planet when he was supposed to be in the Aeos system .  he would have to keep an eye on it ,  and he was loathed to admit that they might have to cut their time here shorter than he knew either one of them were hoping for .  Kylo had hoped for at least one more day ,  he was greedy and willing to push but not when their safety was now left to such uncertainty .
â   the First Orderâs reach does not extend to this system ,  this planet is too insignificant for our sympathizers to camp out .  the First Order is as of yet unaware of our presence and it should ,  hopefully ,  remain that way so long as nothing leaks out .  â   his main concern would be Hux ,  his hands tighten around his datapad as his mind dares to travel down that path ,  to think about what the redhead would do with this information .  not just to him ,  he knew the General would take any opportunity to overthrow him ,  but what he would do to her if she were ever caught by their forces .
HE HAD GOTTEN LAZY ,  RECKLESS ,  INDULGENT .  it couldâve ruined them if they had picked any other planet to rendezvous on .  Kylo would kick himself for it if he didnât feel like the splitting headache wasnât punishment enough for his lapse in judgement .  he had simply wanted ,  wanted for what other couples could have without fear .  wanted to forget the war and their obligations entirely and go out in public like they werenât public enemy #1 to their respective sides .  bitterness sat heavily on his tongue as he reminded himself how foolish heâd been .
KYLO IS RELIEVED WHEN SHE STATES THAT NONE OF HERS recognized him ,  he could only hope that he remained insignificant enough to not reach the likes of his mother .  his mother ,  who had been kept in the dark about the relationship between her lost son and prodigal apprentice .  would she recognize the signs ?  reach a conclusion no one else would come close to ?  he doubted it ,  but he knew better than most never to underestimate Leia Organa ,  thus why they had to be careful with her especially .
HE TRIES NOT TO ,  BUT HE CANâT HELP THAT HIS EYES are drawn to the ring on his finger .  the metal was reminiscent of what his saber used to be like before it was reforged and the metal blackened .  the band of ethereal azurite was ,  oddly enough ,  the exact shade of blue he liked .  also nearly like the color of his blade before he bled his crystal .
ABOVE ALL ,  KYLO TRIED NOT TO LET HIS MIND WANDER .  as he starred at the ring it was a hard won battle .  and as his gaze flickered to her own ,  it was a battle all but lost .  marriage .  a concept that had always sat uneasy with him .  watching his parentsâ own fall apart left an impression on the young Solo ,  especially as he felt it fell apart because of him .  as a child ,  he felt that if it couldnât work out for them then what was the point ?  as he got older those thoughts shifted into something else ,  the belief that it was all a joke .  he grew to care not for intimacy and companionship ,  especially after heâd been betrayed and abandoned too many times .  the thought about it ,  in a different life ,  never once changed âŠ
                  not until her âŠ
THEREâS THE THOUGHT THAT SHE DIDNâT DESERVE TO BE tied down to someone like him ,  of course there was ,  it had always been there .  but now that the knot was tied ,  literally ,  he canât help but think that she deserved better   â   at the very least she deserved to remember getting married ,  and deserved to get married somewhere that wasnât within the ass - end of the rims on some forgotten ,  backwater planet .
BUT HER WORDS AND HAND IN HIS DRAWS HIM OUT OF THE dark recesses of his mind ,  chases away his doubts and self - loathing ,  for the moment .  as he looks at her the budding thought blooms to full maturity with awe ,  the thought that ,  even if only they would know ,  she was now his wife  .  perhaps it was better that way .  as their lips brush Kylo lets go of the tension in his shoulders ,  his head throbbing in warning that goes unheeded .
â   though i wish circumstances were different âŠÂ  i donât regret it either .  â   he said it ,  he put it out there ,  and he means it .  in more ways than one ,  as she brings up another obvious .   â  we will need to be more careful ,  for one .  Sorgan might not have been compromised ,  but it would be unwise to go out again .  probably to return after this time for a while too âŠÂ  â
Rey  is  hardly  concerned  about  the  First  Order.  She's  managed  to  evade  them  with  ease  over  and  over  again  since  she  became  of  interest  and  more  interest  after  Snoke's  death.  The  only  reason  Kylo  ever  found  her  is  that  she  allowed  him  to  or  actively  met  him  as  they  did  on  this  planet.  She'd  inadvertently  become  quite  the  expert  on  avoiding  the  faction  her  now-husband  led.
â  I  don't  remember  anything.  I  don't  drink.  You  know  that,  if  you  can't  remember  anything  there's  no  hope  for  me.â
As  always,  Rey's  concern  lay  with  what  would  happen  to  Kylo.  The  redheaded  General  that  she  never  bothered  to  remember  the  name  of  seemed  to  always  leap  at  every  chance  he  could  to  try  and  overthrow  Kylo  if  he  found  out  that  he  was  with  the  Resistance  Jedi...That  is  the  only  reason  Kylo's  confirmation  that  the  First  Order  could  care  less  about  Sorgan  lifted  a  different  kind  of  weight.
Naturally,  the  Jedi's  mind  then  drifted  to  thoughts  of  Leia.  Would  she  be  able  to  piece  together  what  no  one  else  could?  There's  no  questioning  that  Rey's  bond  with  Kylo  is  different,  stronger  than  the  one  Leia  had  with  her  son,  but  she  isn't  foolish  enough  to  dismiss  the  bond  she  knows  Leia  has  with  her  son,  the  bond  Leia  has  with  her  by  default  as  her  master.  She  isn't  even  entirely  convinced  the  Resistance  General  doesn't  already  have  suspicions,  not  that  Rey  would  voice  that  to  Kylo,  especially  not  now,  but  that  doesn't  change  the  fact  it's  a  thought  constantly  swirling  at  the  back  of  her  mind.
A  shift  in  Kylo  catches  her  attention  immediately,  hazel  eyes  scanning  his  face,  his  body  language.  Rey  tried  her  best  to  allow  him  to  come  to  her  with  his  worries  and  concerns  instead  of  forcing  him  to  talk  about  it  because  she  could  feel  it  in  the  bond.  Emotions  and  feelings  were  hard  for  both  of  them,  but  she  didn't  want  to  give  him  the  opportunity  to  beat  himself  up  for  being  careless;  she'd  been  just  as  irresponsible.  She  squeezes  his  hand  again,  a  soft  smile  forming  on  her  lips  when  his  soft  brown  eyes  meet  hers  once  more.
â  I'm  not  willing  to  spend  months  without  seeing  you.  â  Rey  places  her  other  hand  over  his,  lightly  chewing  at  the  inside  of  her  lip.  Sorgan  wasn't  compromised.  They  could  still  meet  in  the  little  clearing.  That  wasn't  risky.  No  one  knew.  They  got  away  with  it.  â  I  don't  want  to  do  that.  Sorgan  isn't  compromised.  No  one  knows.  It's  still  safe.â  She  draws  in  a  shaky  breath.
â  I  spent  my  whole  life  waiting  for  someone  to  come  back  to  me...I  don't  want  to  spend  the  rest  of  it,  never  knowing  when  or  if  I  will  get  to  see  my  husband  in  some  other  way  than  a  connection  in  the  Force  we  don't  even  understand,  what  if  that  suddenly  stops?  What  if  that  goes  away?  If  someone  finds  out,  I'm  willing  to  face  those  consequences.  I'm  not  afraid  of  that.â  I'm  scared  of  being  left  alone.  Rey  knows  Kylo  would  never  leaver  her  willingly,  there  were  so  many  things  out  of  her  control,  out  of  his  control  in  this  war...She  can't  just  not  see  him.

âMy hair is as long as yours,â BB preened, her hand going to touch her long locks. It had been a while since she had had it cut; most days it was throwing it into a pony tail or bun. It brushed her shoulders now. Her head tilted to look up at Rey with an excitement swirling in her eyes. âCan you do my hair like yours?â
Rey  didn't  have  her  hair  down  very  often,  it  was  typically  tied  up  in  the  three  tri-buns  she's  had  it  in  since  she  was  a  small  child,  but  today  was  one  of  those  unique  days  where  she'd  decided  to  leave  the  brown  shoulder-length  waves  down.
BBs  hair,  by  one  glance,  looked  to  be  just  the  right  length  for  that  typical  tri-bun  style.  A  soft  smile  appears  on  her  lips,  and  she  gestures  for  the  other  to  sit  down.  â  I  think  you're  right.  It's  just  the  right  length  now.  â  She  brushes  her  hair  over  her  shoulders,  pulling  three  black  elastics  out  of  her  pocket  to  tie  BBs  hair  up,  gentle  fingers  sectioning  her  hair  into  three  sections  before  tying  each  one  up,  making  it  look  as  perfect  as  possible,  though  Rey  would  admit  it  was  different  and  a  little  more  challenging  doing  the  style  for  someone  else  instead  of  her  hair.
â  It  suits  you,  BB.  â  Rey  compliments,  moving  around  to  stand  in  front  of  her,  gently  pulling  a  couple  of  strands  loose,  curling  them  around  her  finger.

OH ,  THE SURPRISE COULDâVE SHAKEN THE STRONGEST of resolves .  it tore through every raging and shattering emotions churning so violently within the dark sider .  clouding his judgement ,  his actions ,  leaving him unbalanced .  he wasnât the only one left unbalanced ,  he could feel her conflict and her own raging emotions as they drift across the bond .  the rationality had not been completely driven from him ,  and as water whipped across their faces ,  soaking them both to the bone ,  Kylo put his focus on the defensive and in trying to negate the fight as best he could  .  the waves enraged and screamed around them as they fought across the ruins of the once deadly Death Star ,  whose kyber crystals still cried out in pain beneath their feet .
WHAT HE HADNâT ACCOUNTED FOR WAS HIS MOTHERâS voice reaching out against endless lightyears ,  from an unknown point in the galaxy ,  a whisper of his name that drew his attention away from Rey and the fight .  it felt like she was there ,  and Kylo had turned in the direction he heard her âŠÂ  his lightsaber slipping through his fingers  âŠ
SURPRISE CUT THROUGH HIM ,  AS DID THE RAGING unstable blade of crimson .  slicing through layers of tunics and skin and muscle in his chest  ,  just at the bottom of this rib cage .  a gasp left him as the smell of burning flesh hit him before the pain ,  dark eyes turn back from the abyss of water to the blade ,  which was in her hands instead of his .  he could feel her surprise shoot sharply across the bond when her mind caught up with her body ,  the blade disengaging with a sharp hiss that sent him tumbling to the soaked metal ground as his knees gave out .
GLOVED FINGERS CIRCLE GENTLY AROUND HER WRIST as she falls to her knees beside him ,  her desperate apologies met with a shake of his head and a quiet ,  soothing sound .  his other hand reaches to cup her face ,  gently urging her to look at him as he slumped back against a broken piece of Death Star .    â   shh ,  Rey â  Rey listen ,  itâs okay .  itâs okay .  itâs not your fault ,  i shouldâve stopped the fight .  â
Under normal circumstances, Rey would have avoided the fight at all costs. Her feelings towards Kylo had shifted drastically since their first encounter in the forest; sheâd grown to care for her bondmate, allowing a burning hatred to resolve into understanding and love she knew sheâd never experience again in this lifetime. As always, the fallen Jedi had the worst timing, coming in after she faced the quite literal version of herself she feared, after being tormented by visions and nightmares of a devastating fall to the Darkside. That Wayfinder was her last hope to prove she wasnât that, that her visions were just fears turned into walking nightmares, and he destroyed it. Already unbalanced, Kyloâs actions had been the final nail in the coffin, pushing Rey over an edge sheâd only crossed once before, an uncontrollable rage taking over her, turning on him faster than you could blink. The fight itself was a blur, but the entire time she could hear her mind or the Force maybe both pleading with her to get a grip that this was going to end badly, and it did. Leiaâs voice pulled Kyloâs attention away just long enough to give Rey the opportunity to injure him with his own saber fatally, her mind only catching up with her bodies actions when she felt Leiaâs sudden departure. Rational thought came rushing back into her as the hiss of the unstable blade ceased, and Kylo fell to the ground. She dropped down beside him as quickly as she could to assess the damage that she had done. â Itâs not okay! â She snaps at him, the little bit of rage still presents showing through her now panicked exterior, but it was no longer directed at him but inwards at herself. â Donât excuse my actions. I should have stopped. â Her voice is softer, extending her hand so that it is sitting gently on his torso.
Hazel eyes close as she pushes just enough of her life Force to him to heal the injury, still unaware of the risks such actions had, only thinking about how sheâd done it for that snake, she could do it for Kylo.

Obi-Wan could tell the struggling within another Jedi. Especially a young one such as herself. It caused his chest to tighten, lips pull downward into a frown, and hands held before him. He stood carefully, quietly as much as he could as a ghost. There wasnât much he could do in this state, but his words were always the best. It was all he had to offer, and oftentimes, words were all someone needed.
â Of course. Thinking is a part of life, young one. However, in such thoughts we can become troubledâŠÂ or even more so.  â which leads to a lot of darkness. That was something Obi-Wan wished for her not to follow. If he could give a hand  with his own advice, he would be more than joyful.Â
The once Jedi breathed in softly, and let it go gently, â Tell me, what has caught your attention so? â
Rey  wasnât  raised  in  a  Jedi  Temple;  Obi-wan  would  just  be  another  name  to  her,  not  one  that  caught  her  attention  in  the  way  it  might  catch  anothers.   Her  experience  with  Force  ghosts  is  zero  as  well.  Sheâd  read  about  them  in  one  of  the  old  Jedi  texts  she  took  from  Ahch-to,  it  gave  her  enough  information  that  she  knew  thatâs  what  this  encounter  was,  but  he  was  still  a  stranger,  one  with  the  Force  or  not,  but  perhaps  that  made  him  the  safest  person  to  ask  about  whatever  was  going  on  between  her  and  Kylo. â  Theoretically⊠ â  She  looks  over  at  him.  â  If  two  Force-sensitive  individuals  share  a  connection,  that  gives  them  the  ability  to  see  each  other  even  if  there  are  great  distances  between  them,  along  with  other  things,  like  knowing  precisely  what  move  the  other  will  make  before  they  even  know  what  they  are  going  to  do,  or  being  able  to  feel  each  otherâs  emotions  together  or  apartâŠâ  Thatâs  too  specific.  Rey  scolds  herself,  but  she  canât  take  the  words  back  now.
â  What  would  you  call  that  connection?  Theoretically,  of  course.  â
