i’m looking at schools and shit and i’m freaking out because the schools i want to get into are competitive and my test scores are very very good and my gpa is alright sort of but I have this one grade that is going to fuck me over

sophomore year i was very depressed and suicidal and i lost most of my ability to focus in school, my friends were shitty to me and I had probably the worst year of life. i only did work that i felt i really needed to because i physically couldn’t get myself to do other work and i ended up getting a high D+ in math. this is really shitty and uncharacteristic of my other grades and i’m now screwed because a school i was looking at said a grade of C or higher was needed for hs courses and i’m so fucked, i’ve heard your counsellors can write a letter to explain it but I feel like it wouldn’t be taken seriously i’m so screwed

When I first started the big thing older lifters were getting on the newbies about was using tags and double dipping. We new blogs studied the older ones, read the same advice posts a million times, and asked when we weren’t sure about something.

It’s only been 7-8 months, and in that time there have been massive upheavals in the community, three of my favourite blogs are gone and one person I thought I looked up to was exposed as a massive liar and fake.

@liftvr @brokelmao. Your responses on this post right now are completely unacceptable and how I know you don’t have the right attitude for liftblr and are incredibly immature.

We do not wish getting caught on anyone. We do not celebrate or enjoy anyone getting caught. We especially do not throw the fact that someone got caught in their face.

I literally do not care what grievances you have with someone, if someone you don’t like gets caught, you just don’t comment. Your little comments acting like you’re superior are completely immature, rude, and unnecessary. If you’re just trying to make an ass out of someone, especially someone who was genuinely concerned for you, then you need to hop off and get a serious attitude adjustment. I know it gets thrown around a lot, but this is seriously petty as fuck and shows a complete lack of empathy.

Let me say it again: WE DON’T WANT ANYONE IN OUR COMMUNITY BEING CAUGHT. WE DO NOT LAUGH AT ANYONE IN OUR COMMUNITY BEING CAUGHT.

It could easily happen to any of us, because all it takes is just the wrong angle, someone looking at just the wrong time, and we’d have LP on our asses like anyone else. So don’t act like you’re immune to being caught because even if you’re the best lifter in the world you’re still at risk of bad luck.

do you know what the odds are for getting caught shoplifting? EVERYONE has a number. eventually YOU WILL GET CAUGHT. I don’t understand why you’d laugh at someone being caught because hell, that could be you the next time you lift! it’s a part of lifting.

Let’s rewind to earlier today…So you’re mad because an EXPERIENCED LIFTER who thus has more knowledge because experience = knowledge in this game of ours, was concerned and trying to express that to you? Like, imo, lux was just being real honest with you. After the dozens of questions everyone has seen you asking about pretty basic tips, people get worried when you are pulling huge ass hauls. Like I am sure you feel confident and safe because of tumblr, and I am glad you found the community, but the events you explained about being csd literally seem to be so easily to avoid if you had taken a bit more time with things. And I also can see how people are thinking you were getting cocky considering you reblogged a haul of yours with “I can’t believe y'all let this flop… 😒”. So to me, what happened earlier was completely understandable. While you can say they could have worded shit differently, lux was coming from good intentions. I can literally almost guarantee it. Who would say they were “scared for you” if they we’re simply out to drag you.
