Here’s a little mall haul for you! It’s not very big but I’m trying to be more conservative so I’m not lifting too often. I was really happy about all of the cute undies since I don’t have many and the makeup bag because I’ve been looking for a new one, but I think I was the most excited about the fox socks. There’s a band I love called Emarosa and I recently got to see them live for the first time. I was in the very front for their show and got to meet Bradley Walden, the lead singer. As soon as I saw those socks I immediately thought of the cover to their self titled album and knew that I had to get them. Emarosa would be proud.

Hi! So I got a few questions about more detail concerning my Lush tips post. Here are four photos of a layout that most lushes will follow. Even small lushes have the deep shelves of the top left picture. While it might seem like little to work with, these are my typical concealing areas.

So if you want to conceal at Lush, the first thing you need is obviously your purse and and a large jacket. The jacket shouldn’t look big and bulky because that’s suspicious if it isn’t cold or wintery, preferably it should be those baggy sweaters from Forever 21 that are really thin material, so it looks normal that you have it. Sling the sweater on your arm first, and then put your purse in front of it. If someone was looking at you from behind, it should look like your sweater is blocking their view of your bag. This is what you want.

When you go into a setting like one of these above, you need to wait until very few people are close to your left or right. You should be standing directly in front of the display. For the top left picture, gather the items you want into an area you can easily reach to. Wait until there are people in your general area so that you blend into a crowd if an SA looks over, but make sure they are turned to something else (preferably when an SA is talking to a group of people about an object away from you. Lean into the shelf to look at something at the back, and with your hand not with the bag on it slip the objects into your bag. The sweater on your arm should cover the view of the product going into your bag, and you should be leaning in so that your hand holding the objects is pressed against the display and concealed by your torso for the split second. Basically in a matter of seconds you lean in, slipping your concealing hand over to your bag, and then reaching out to grab something from the back. Don’t spend more than a few seconds leaning in, when you have the product you were fake reaching for lean back out and spend a good amount of time ogling it before putting it bag. Angle your bag carrying arm and your torso to create a type of triangle up against the display that hides what your hands are doing. Because this looks awkward and obvious, if you do it for more than three or two seconds SAs will notice. It has to be one quick movement. Do this is an area with crowded product so you aren’t holding many objects at a time and you can do this many times. Preferably do this in a corner of a store with your bag arm to the wall so you can tilt your torso towards the wall and you only have to hide your movements from one side. This will work for the middle picture as well if there isn’t anyone at your immediate back.
