This weekend the flawed and biased Citizens Assembly is expected to deliver a preordained outcome and recommend the repeal of the right to life of preborn children. It is now a matter of record that the organisers of the Assembly brought abortionists to masquerade as 'impartial' experts so that they could push for a change to Ireland's abortion laws, and the whole thing was largely a farce designed to push repeal of the pro-life amendment. At this time, it is worth reading the submission made by the Life Institute to the Assembly which offers compelling evidence as the humanity of the baby and why mothers and babies need better than abortion.

British abortion campaigner Dr Wendy Savage has ignited a storm of controversy in an interview with The Mail On Sunday where she called for sex-selective abortions to be allowed. Sex-selection abortions are often called gendercide because the child is usually aborted simply because she is a girl. Savage, who also believes that abortion should be legal up to birth said “If a woman does not want to have a foetus who is one sex or the other, forcing her [to go through with the pregnancy] is not going to be good for the eventual child, and it’s not going to be good for [the mother’s] mental health.’ Widely described as an ethicist because of her position on the British Medical Association's Ethics Committee, Savage is retired gynaecologist who has previously, in 2011, denied that the unborn child is alive. In a live debate with BBC, Niamh Uí Bhriain of Life Institute, slammed the ‘strike’ for Repeal as #FakeNews and explained why abortion is not the answer when a baby is conceived in rape. Niamh pointed out that a strike means leaving work without an employer's permission and going without pay. Describing staying at home with your employers consent, wearing black or a black arm band as a “strike” was not just inaccurate, she said, but effectively amounted to #FakeNews. A woman who was sent to the Bessborough mother and baby home has said that the pain she and other women endured there should not be utilised to push for abortion in Ireland. Catherine had been prompted to call Corks’s 96fm Opinion Line with PJ Coogan on Tuesday, 7th March, after abortion campaigner, Ruth Coppinger, had raised the issue of the mother and baby homes in order to call for repeal of the right-to-life of preborn babies. Shocking and mind boggling news came out this week from France that has sparked outrage from all around the world. The French State Council rejected an appeal made by the Down Syndrome community when it upheld a ban on a video featuring children with Down Syndrome on the ground that the children were too happy and it might make women who have aborted babies with Down Syndrome feel bad. It may sound unbelievable but it is true. The award winning video entitled “Dear Future Mom” features children with Down Syndrome reassuring future mothers that their children would be able to live happy and fulfilling live even with Down Syndrome. The Polish Parliament recently approved a bill which will provide financial assistance to women whose babies are prenatally diagnosed with severe disabilities and who decide to continue with their pregnancies and give their babies a chance at life. The new policy will offer the equivalent of 900 euro a month to families to help contribute to the cost of caring for a child who may have special needs. Polish politicians are hoping that this will encourage families who are given tragic prenatal diagnoses choose life and provide for their children. A remarkable and moving pro-life display took place in Chile on October 2nd that beautifully and poignantly displayed the humanity of the unborn child. The Life Institute has said that today’s Irish Times/Ipsos-MRBI poll shows that abortion campaigners have utterly failed to swing voter support in favour of abortion-on-demand, despite massive media support and global funding from billionaires like George Soros.
