"Sitting on sidewalks is a great way to get hurt, you know.” Akiha tells the person conveniently sitting in her way. “You might get-” She moved to step over him. “-stepped on.” And her foot came down, right on his ankle, before she daintily crossed over the legs in her way. Why so cruel, Akiha-san?
That was something only someone new to the city would say. Riful gave a small smile. She remembered being so confused by everyone just taking this change in stride. It was different now. As much as she hated to admit it, she’d learned to… Adjust. Ew, she felt the need to scrub off her mental tongue. The mere thought of settling here was still too much like giving up for her.
“Not always. Sometimes we get a big load of newbies, so it’s very confusing for them. Or the scientists do something stupid. But most of the time, yes, it’s like this. You just get used to strange things after a while.”
Newbies. Akiha guessed that was what she was, now. New to the city and it’s people, this ‘social experiment’ as the scientist said on the tv. Had this weirdness been part of their results?
“Yes, its pretty confusing...” She turned towards the woman who had responded to her musings, looking her over discreetly. This person wasn’t human, either. Probably. “They’re just... Content? With seeing such things?” Perhaps she didn’t understand humans quite as well as she thought. No, anyone from her city would panic if they were sent to this place.
So Do All The Tohnos Suck Or?
“E-eeeeh? A-akiha-san, y-you’re joking right? R-right??”
Of course, this outcome was not unexpected. In fact, it was likely. Very likely. If there had been an existence of the legendary sixth route, this outcome may have in fact been avoided. However that ‘sixth slot’ would likely have gone to a certain sensei type, so in the end this would have been the result anyway.
Yes, once again, Satsuki Yumizuka had been forgotten. Isn’t it sad Sacchin?
“B-b-but how can you not remember me? Did Tohno-kun’s horrible memory rub off on you too? We even rent out Kohaku-san’s lab space under your mansion, y-you can’t say you don’t recognize me at all right?”
Had it been a memory erasure device? Had the rumor that ‘Satsuki Yumizuka is a myth’ turned true? Was the third heroine simply upset about the rising role of the forgotten one, and decided to play a prank? All of these things were possible, however Akiha didn’t seem the type to think up these kind of things, nor fall for such tricks, and from what Satsuki had gathered Kohaku was not in the city to influence her. What then could be the reason for such memory loss?
Simple. Satsuki’s luck stat was simply worse than even the Lancer class.
There it is again. The girl knew her name, and seemed to know it well, too. Were they acquaintances? No, she would have remembered this person if they had been. No such heroine existed anywhere in her memory. No, they hadn’t even met.
“No, I don’t know you. Get off of me.” And with decisive strength Akiha pushed the odd girl away.
Well, if some certain heroine had a route, this might have been different. But who had to retcon the existence of such a route in the fandisk? Not Akiha. She had been driven out the room by the next question from the devious curry lover. Not that the curious nun had gotten Nii-san anyways.
“I’ll accept that you know me. Just the fact that you know about Kohaku’s lab-” Those were some fun memories. “-is enough to convince me of that much. But I am confused as to how that is so. Who are you?”
Perhaps once the remake comes out we could do this again, forgotten heroine. Perhaps you’ll get your fated route. But that’s highly unlikely, you know?
tfw you hear a girl biting someone’s head off down the street and it sounds suspiciously like your sister Akiha.
Oh wait—that is Akiha.
……
………..
Shaaa….!!! Flees, immediately pushing his flower-cart in the opposite direction at mach speed!
What was that suspicious noise? Like a cart being hurriedly pushed away-
That retreating back looked like Nii-san...
... with a damned flower cart.
“NII-SAAAAAN!!!”

Flowers, Spice & Stuff that are nice?
lifedrainer
Looking into the shopping window of mannequins in dresses. The black dragon knight scratched the back of yellow, uprising hair. He was not sure how this kinda stuff worked, but he wanted to make it right.
Crossing his arms, his gaze got further intense on the clothes. No, no cogs moved in his brain. He needed help by an expert. Rather, someone competent in the area. Unlike him.
A ( hopefully ) girl suddenly appears near him, walking and minding herself. Lucky! She had a headband and pretty normal looking clothing. Nothing too eccentric, this was good, he wanted some kinda normal girl for this.
With a bright face and beaming smile he stepped in front of her to catch her attention.
“ Excuse me, you’re a girl, right? “
“..... Haah?!” The question was unwelcome, unneeded and frankly, unnecessary. Why did he need to ask her? If you weren’t going to speak intelligently don’t speak at all!
She had been enjoying a nice day, enjoying the time without any pests to bother her, and this idiot deemed it fit to ruin that! Unforgivable! Annoying! Uncalled for! Why couldn’t she take a single walk without having a vampire cling to her, her brother jump at her, or a weird alchemist say she knew her!? This city was insane!
“Yes, I am a girl. What could have possibly tipped you off? The hairstyle, my clothing? What do you want?” She crossed her arms over her chest, looking rather displeased. Well then, who wouldn’t? Such an idiot shounen protag would only get stepped on, demolished, by the refined lady he dared to speak to.
If you wanted a normal girl, my friend, you should have steered clear of this one.
It was just a mutter. A small, sighing utterance, somber in it’s intonations that unintentionally reached his ears, telling the boy of the importance of today’s date. Tatsumi, being just the sort of warm-hearted fellow he was, promptly vacated the apartment later that day under the ruse of needing to attend to some forgotten business of his. In all honesty his excuse was hastily thought up and shaky at best even to him, but it did at the very least allow him to get out on his own for awhile. Tatsumi did note the inkling of suspicion that lingered in the girl’s expression and voice before she reluctantly allowed him to attend to his ‘business’.
It was stupid, impulsive, and a little irrational of him, but he had already decided to go through with this. Psyching himself up a bit, he takes a moment to count up all the money in his wallet, sighs, and sighs once more just for good measure. What was left of the savings and meager monthly allowance he initially entered the city with were running despairingly low but it should cover whatever gift—hopefully. Either way looking for a job would soon be in order. A hop, skip, a jump, a train ride, a wacky, exhausting chase around the next district and one use of his mystic eye to escape a gaggle of cutthroats and lowlifes and a bit more running the boy finally reached his destination without much issue; the shopping center, which as expected was overflowing with the energetic hustle and bustle of swarms and swarms of shoppers. "There really are a lot of people here…“ Was there a sale going on possibly? "Sure looks like it..” Looking around the majority of the shops were modern and had an urban youth sort of feel to them and didn’t seem to hold any potential gifts likely to fit Akiha’s tastes…but then again Tatsumi was, admittedly, hopelessly clueless when it came to girls his own age. The fact that Akiha wasn’t exactly like girls his own age in the first place—as he had become painfully aware of—certainly didn’t help either. Not to mention the hecticness of such monstrous metropolis made him extremely nervous on top of all the cool-looking people wandering about, arms laden with a myriad of designer clothes, electronics, and other gaudy items of extravagance brought down his confidence severely, but he wouldn’t allow himself to go back to his new home tired, defeated, AND empty-handed.
'Maybe… Maybe I should try another district though’, he thought just before spotting a shop he had f
ailed to notice out of the corner of his eye. Settled in-between two much larger, more imposing buildings, was a modest little antique store that looked a little on the shady side. yet it’s window displaying all sorts of little knick-knacks and items practically dripping anachronism, one item in particular catches his eye immediately. The goddess of fortune must have been smiling on him, it was perfect. Fancy, too. And, as for the price? “Ahh-” He feels his heart sag a bit seeing the pricetag attached to the desired item. This was going to wound him, deeply… Counting up his money, remembering the words his grandmother had told him about having regrets, and gathering it within his free hand, he enters the modest-looking shop, it’s door playing an annoying little jingle as the boy stepped inside. "Um, excuse me…?“
Back to the present scene, Tatsumi had just slid the box containing Akiha’s gift in front as she sat at her desk idly reading something. "Um, T-Tohno-san… Happy Birthday. I got this for you when I went out. I hope you like it." Expectantly, he watched her open the box with a pretty nervous face.
Upon it’s opening she would find a elegant set of porcelain saucers, teacups, a cream holder, a sugar container, and a long white teapot: An entire tea set. Every object making of the set decorated at the rim with gold Victorian patterning perfectly contrasting but also complimenting the eggshell white of the porcelain glass—a design simple yet elegant; practical yet refined. "Erm…" Tatsumi scratched at his cheek with a sinking feeling in his gut, as she seemed to study her gift intently. "M-Maybe it was a bad idea after all. I, can take it back if you don’t like it…”
“Ah...” The gift was unexpected. The design reminded her, oddly, of the set she had back at her mansion, and it brought up a nostalgic feeling in her. Never mind the fact that it was probably fake, she was touched that this boy had taken the time- and money- to get her such a thing.
“Tatsumi-chan, would you like some tea?”

It was probably a shame.
It was a beautiful day, in a beautiful park, and a beautiful young woman was having a peaceful walk. The shame was that it wasn’t going to last. After all, could SHIKI really be expected to just ignore it when he saw his beautiful sister? Of course not. He’d been sitting up in the branches of one of the many tall trees at the side of the path, enjoying the nostalgia (even if it was a different tree, in a different city, in a different world. It was still nostalgic, mostly because it was something he hadn’t done in a decade), when he’d seen her. After that, he wasn’t going to waste any time before showing up for a joyous family reunion. Well. What he figured would be a joyous family reunion.
SHIKI dropped onto the path with a heavy thud - and the ignored sound of an ankle bending in a way it probably shouldn’t - directly in front of his sister.
“Akiha!” He cheered, pulled her into a hug before she would even have time to react.
The day was peaceful, silent. The colors in this city were dull, and boring. But here, among the leaves, color was abundant. The sun was bright overhead. Ah, she wished it could be like this forever.
But no, she had her own problems. While she knew nii-san was in this city, he still had yet to appear before her. She had even tried getting a hold of a cell phone, but she was a technology dunce. Even worse than a certain other heroine in another certain story. She couldn’t even get the device to turn on for her, let alone figure out how to navigate the member list. "....” She put those thoughts aside for now, determined to enjoy the sunlight. To relax in the gentle heat of the sun was a luxury, in this place. So much had happened- and hadn’t happened- and everything was confusing for her. But at least some things wouldn’t change.
A thud (was that a crack?) sounded, and she looked up.
And that demon inside her, the one she stole from the familiar face in front of her, the one she went such lengths to keep in check, tried to claw its’ way to the surface.
“W-who-” That person in front of her wrapped his arms around her, familiar white hair hit her face in passing. Who was she kidding? She knew this person. She knew the person who seemed so excited to see her.
...... When she had asked for her Nii-san to appear, she didn’t mean this one. It took her a few moments to try to get past the mere shock of seeing the one she killed come before her again. When she came back to herself, she pushed him away violently.
“Don’t touch me.”
It only took a bit of investigation to find out where Akiha resided in the city. Really, anyone dedicated enough could find it. Which is why it shouldn't be a surprise that a small box was left in front of her door, with a simple note attached. All it said was... 「Happy Birthday」. Inside, one would find a slice of strawberry cake, too perfectly made to be considered homemade.
The package at her door was a surprise, but it wasn’t unwelcome. — Someone here knew her, but that writing was not of someone she knew. Was this person like Yumizuka, someone who knew her but she had no knowledge of?
The gift was appreciated anyways. She picked up the package, looking around before reentering the apartment and closing the door behind her.

“The 22nd....” A sigh left her as she looked at the calendar. She had vaguely guessed that her birthday had been coming up, but to completely forget just when until this exact moment? She was becoming an airheaded fool. “Am I that worried...?” Did her search for her brother really consume her that much? She glanced at the clock, thinking. “Hmm, I guess I won’t do that much this year. There’s no one to celebrate something so silly with, anyways..”
Finding Shiki [CLOSED-Silverxblivion]
F-For some reason, she started to feel sorry for the girl’s brother. “I…didn’t do much though.” She wasn’t the type to take rewards when she didn’t do anything really.
“You gave me valuable information. It is only natural that I repay you.” She paused, her thoughts drifting away for a moment. Nii-san was really here, wasn’t he? “A-ah, anyways, it doesn’t have to be as payment. I’d like to ask you some more questions, if you’re not busy.”

Maybe if she walked into a crowd and yelled ‘Nii-san!’ at the top of her lungs she’d be able to find him. Or maybe catch a glimpse of his swiftly retreating back.
Finding Shiki [CLOSED-Silverxblivion]
silverxblivion:
“Ah, unfortunately I’ve only been here for about…less than two weeks.” If she did have a cell though, she’d immediately search for the girl’s brother without a thought. She had only met one person who had a cell but she didn’t know where they were right now.
“Ah... No, that’s fine. I’ll just have to... Wait.” A hint of cold steel colored her voice. How dare her Nii-san make her wait like this! When she finds him he would be ripped to shreds. Mentally. ... Probably.
“Its not a problem, really. Could I treat you to some tea? In payment for the information.”
