the   voices   have   already   started   speaking,   guiding,   and   it’s   not   until   her   teammate   speaks   out   to   her   that   she   focuses,   realizes   that   she’s   the   one   being   spoken   to.   eyebrows   furrow   with   silent   curiosity   as   her   eyes   follow   where   the   other   girl   points,   and   her   gaze   falls   on   the   unopened   container.

’       thanks.       ’       she   offers   after   a   long   moment,   opening   it   up   and   reaching   for   its   contents:   an   alternator   and   a   case   of   ammo.   not   ideal,   but   it   would   do.   she   holsters   the   gun   to   her   side,   nods   forward.       ’       we   should   head   out,   see   if   we   have   any   company   up   north   yet.       ’       she   would   know   if   there   was   well   before   their   opponents   would   see   them   coming.   a   pause,   and   then   an   observation   :   ’       you   seem   excited.       ’
