"He said he didn't want to be there when Papa or, god forbid, Sister, watched us roll back into the abbey"

Rain made a b-line for the slushee machine, grabbing the biggest cup that he knew he wouldn't be able to finish and filling it with neon blue slush. It was on Swiss' dime anyways. Or what he assumes is the card Aether was given for whatever expenses the ghouls may have. And this definitely counted in his eyes, it was either a nice midnight snack and maybe make out with Swiss in the parking lot of an abandoned car wash, or he was going to go stir crazy.

He grabbed a smaller Piña colada flavor for Swiss. He always liked to get the seasonal ones, something about the thrill of trying something new even if they all were going to make his teeth hurt.

"Grab me my fish while your over there" Rain called over to the snack isle. He eyed the other random options from where he was and also settled on a small bag of cheesy popcorn before meeting Swiss at the register. He pulled his sweatshirt tighter around him as he placed his stuff on the counter. It wasn't even his, stolen from back seat from where Swiss left it the last time. His sweatshirts were always more comfortable, or they just smelled like him which made it better in his eyes.

"You're lucky you're cute angelfish" Swiss wrapped his arms around him, planting a fat dramatic kiss to the top his head, before grabbing their stuff and heading back to the car. It was warmer, the black interior absorbing the heat of the humid summer night.

"So you're saying you wouldn't do this for Dew?"

"I'm saying you'll give me a sweeter reward"

"And what's that"

"A kiss" Swiss gave Rain a toothy grin as Rain hit him lightly on the arm. He took a big drink of his slushy before plopping it back down in the cup holder.

"All of this just for a kiss?"

"No, all of this so I can have some alone time with my angelfish"

Rain huffed before grabbing Swiss by the shirt and pulling him in for a syrupy kiss. He leaned over the console, letting Swiss tangle his fingers through his hair to keep them as close as possible. He smelled like cologne and weed, or maybe that was just because Dew and Mountain had hotboxed the car a couple days ago, either way it had Rain feeling soft and relaxed while Swiss attempted to pull him into his lap.

"You're cozy" Rain nuzzled his head into Swiss' neck, planting a small kiss right against his pulse. "Ill just sleep here, Papa will live without us for a day"

"Only if I can have a couple of your Swedish fish"
