One would think that, as far as it was from the winter, the business of nuts would be a little bit on the slower side. No holidays or nothing on sight, just scorching heat. It was surprising, then, that it was the first break Charlie could catch to organize the orders that morning. It didnât take ten seconds, however, for the bell to ring again. âDamn, everybody does seem to like these nuts,â she huffed, before coming up to greet yet another customer. While she wasnât one to agree with her brother, sheâd give him the credits for that one. âGood afternoon, how may I help you?â @frostfordstartâ
Over the years Liam had become a frequent customer of the Pearce Family operation, and while he didnât like to attribute his more frequent visits as of late to Charlieâs arrival in town, he wasnât displeased to see her. That didnât mean that he would let her know that. Leaning over the counter, he watched as Charlie carefully organized the orders, before he rang the bell. âIs this how formal you normally are with your customers? Whatâs a guy gotta do to get treatment like this more often? I was actually hoping for your brother, though...is Gray around?â He wasnât entirely displeased with Charlie being here instead, but he wasnât about to let her know that. âGetting so cocky talking about everyone liking your nuts, by the way.â
