Not to be an earnest nerd on tumblr dot com but I'll be having some of the worst days in my life and Star Trek always finds a way to pop back into my life and make it better. Not just the show itself, but also the people who enjoy Star Trek will post something silly or say something nice about work I've posted, and it just makes things a little easier.

still pretty emotional about ds9 doing the whole “what if all the fantastical adventures are just in the characters head” bit and then going “it would still matter anyway, because it still means something to the character imagining it, and it still means something to you, the audience watching it, or reading it. the story still matters, no matter whose imagination it was. if the character made it up or if the writers in the real world did. it still matters.”
