Been documenting ads and YouTube homepages for the last month or so, and eventually I’m going to write an essay on the extreme misogyny we’re seeing. I’ve been asking other people if they’ve notice the uptick in things recommended to them that have nothing to do with the usual content they consume, and so many other people believe it’s not based on your searches anymore; it’s just showing up.

in watching someone you love suffer

i was told not to each too much lest i gain weight and forced myself to throw up in the bathroom. you were told to eat more because you're a growing boy.

my girl friends' parents didn't bother to send them to tuition. their brothers got to go. you got to go. girls in other countries don't even get to go to school. their brothers do. you do.

girls are aborted for being female before they even get to live. the fact that you even had a childhood is a privilege.
