Top 10 Albums of 2014. In no particular order, except for Royal Blood. #1 in a landslide.

I remember going with a buddy to Music Trader in San Diego to buy this the day it came out in '97. Also the last NOFX record I bought.

(Not So) RANDOM START - I'll be listening to this non-stop for the indeterminable future.

A band that manages to be heavy, yet soothing at the same time. No small feat.

So very underrated. If you're unfamiliar with these guys, please give them a shot.

RANDOM START: Japandroids 'The Nights of Wine and Roses'

Man, Jaco's bass harmonics FTW.

I'm bad at music-ing. I definitely don't listen to this band enough.

The heavy riffs. The vocal melodies. What a combination. What a record.

My intro to punk was repeated listenings of this and Propagandhi's "How To Clean Everything."

From '100 Best of Blue Note.' Worth picking up.

Such a great record. So raw and intense. No production tricks here, folks.

You can't do better than the original, but nonetheless, a really great cover.

Best song Thrice ever wrote, IMO. Near perfection.
