Top Hat from England dated to 1813 on display at the National Army Museum in London, England
This hat belonged to Lieutenant General Sir Thomas Picton who was famous for wearing civilian clothes during the Peninsular Campaign, ignoring regulation dress code. He lead the British army to various victories through the Napoleonic Wars and died at the battle of Waterloo.
Prior to his military career he was the governor of Trinidad were he was ruthless and brutal to the local slaves and benefiting from the, then legal, slave trade on the island and executing dissenters.

I'm fascinated by this 1819 wedding dress made of a muslin figured with supplementary thicker warps, which has frilled flounces around most of the armscyes rather than actual sleeves. My feeling is that it would have likely been worn over an undergown (maybe white silk, maybe more opaque cotton percale) that had actual puffed sleeves, which would have held them out for slightly added width at the shoulder.

A presentation sword given to Lieutenant Charles Peake as a token of gratitude by the Men of His Ship Euryalus when recommissioned for Foreign Service in 1821. Peake had taken temporary charge of the ship that year and his shipmates’ gratitude was very clear as, in addition to this wonderful sword, he was given a beautiful presentation silver cup.

Marriage of Napoleon and Marie Louise by proxy, Vienna, March 11, 1810, hand-coloured engraving by and after Johann Hieronymus Löschenkohl
Fancy a royal wedding? Napoleon and his second wife, Archduchess Marie Louise of Austria, had three of them. They were married in a religious ceremony in Vienna on March 11, 1810, though Napoleon was not present for the occasion. They then had a civil wedding Château de Saint-Cloud on April 1, and another religious wedding on April 2 in Paris. For details of the festivities, see “The Marriage of Napoleon and Marie Louise.”

Men’s ring dating 1798-1800. High carat gold, seed pearls, and cobalt blue glass make up the ring. The micro carving depicts the Battle of St. Vincent in 1797. Sold by Rowan and Rowan.
The vessels are set on a cobalt blue glass ground, in an octagonal glazed compartment, within a seed pearl surround. The frigates are inscribed in sepia ink with initials T and PG, for the Spanish ship Terrible and the British ship Prince George, engaged in the Battle of Cape Saint Vincent off the coast of Portugal in 1797, where the British emerged victorious. The carving is in the style of Stephany and Dresch, ivory sculptors in miniature, active in Britain in the late 18th century.
