“You aren’t the first person to ask that,” Leonora mused with a chuckle. “I think eventually they might but then traditionally medicine isn’t the best thing in the world. If they changed the favour, it would mix things up dramatically.”

Daisy nodded, trying not to look at the wound as the other continued to take carre of it. As Nora spoke, she looked up and sighed. Another potion. ‘ About that…I haven’t actually slept for days. Thus why I hurt myself by accident today- my eyes keep closing out of nowhere.’
“Oh?” Nora replied, a dressing in hand. “Work on your mind or is it just the fact you can’t shut off?”

“Well I am a tragic excuse for a witch, haven’t you heard?” The dark haired woman smirked softly, eyes flicking curiously to follow the others movements. “Alright, so you’re saying I won’t be losing any limbs today?” She retorted playfully before taking the potion, “Thanks.”
“No, no limb loss today. I think we’ll be able to save all your limbs!” Leonora joked, smiling as she sat back to what her patient take the potion. “Shouldn’t be too long and you’ll start feel a lot better, okay?”

she was even more excited after saying it allowed to someone. her parents didn’t know and grayson did, she still had to tell lily but telling leonora made it more real and far more exciting. the noise that came out of her friend’s mouth told her that the older witch was excited, “no, i’m really pregnant.” she answered, almost glowing as she spoke. ‘thank you, i still need to tell grayson so shush.”
“What? He doesn’t know?” Nora exclaimed, her mouth gaping open in shock. “Have I ruined anything, you know, like finding out too early or ruining a big surprise reveal?”

“Really? Oh, that is a little tragic, yes,” she joked with a small smile. Making a note of her movements, Noraa put her quill down and gathered up a couple of little vials. “A tingle is okay; you might have some bruising making it’s way to the surface so, drink this. It’ll help with the pain and you’ll be able to use the limb without any problems.”

“ we’re magical, for fuck’s sake, it shouldn’t be that hard, ” he grumbled, sighing. “ well, anyway – it better make me better if i have to suffer more for it to happen. don’t the potion makers know i’ve been through enough? even just a nice vanilla flavor would do. nothing fancy. i don’t expect a lot here. ”
“We can’t be perfect at everything, though,” she replied with a shake of her head. “Maybe you can give them an owl and ask them to get creative with their flavourings? I’m sure they’d love the advice.”

“that’s the plan, movies and lots of junk food. i need all of it and with a break coming up from work, we could spend all night doing it.” she replied, more than excited at the idea of spending time with the other witch. “nothing major except a baby on the way, nora.”
Leonora’s face froze before her mouth dropped wide into a perfect ‘o’ shape. She could feel her heart starting to race with excitement before Nora truly gathered herself a squealed. “Are you kidding me? Oh my, Merlin!” she grinned, clapping her hands together in front of her chest. “Congratulations!”

“ bit of a headache, no nausea, ” he answered obediently, following her instructions and swallowing the potion she handed him. “ merlin, that tastes fuckin’ terrible. what is that? ” he asked, coughing slightly.
“Good,” she noted down with a scribble of her quill. Hearing his expletives, Nora tried to hide a small grin. “That will make you better. They haven’t worked out a way to make healing potions actually taste nice which is a shame.”

“ no, it wasn’t an accident, ” he lied. “ a terrible, awful criminal tried to kill me. it was terrifying. i’m lucky to be alive. ” he currently sat in a bed labeled MACINTOSH, GILROY – as a hit wizard, he had one specifically reserved for him, and st. mungo’s was not an uncommon place to find him. on this particular occasion, however, he was the one to injure himself… but he certainly wasn’t about to admit that.
Leonora looked at him for a moment before sighing softly. “Here, drink this; it’ll help flush out any dark magic that might be left behind or spell damage. How do you feel? Any headaches? Nausea?”

‘ I told you, I work in the Ministry- accidents happen there all the time.’ Daniel informed the other- it wasn’t entirely true that it happened there, but she didn’t have to know that. ‘ I work with wands and on the field, something happened and I took the blew- nothing to worry about rigth?’
“True, but I have to ask!” Nora replied with a shrug as she began cleaning him up and getting to work. Her wand waved up and down the wound as it cleaned and dried it out nicely. “I’ll need to take a potion which will help heal and fight infection, okay?”

she wanted to spend time with leonora, she felt like she never got the see the other much anymore. “i was thinking movies and some sweets, i have a few cravings that need taking care of.”
“Ooooh, that sounds good to me! I could do with a good pig out on sweets and goodies!” she grinned, licking her lips. “Cravings? You better not be hinting at anything, missy.”

Daisy nooded. ‘ It’s okay, I’ve had uglier wounds that this– just do your job.’ they nodded in the other’s reaction and threw her a small smile as her eyes were concentrated on her wound ; she wanted to see it heal actually. It made her relax.
As all the muck was cleaned out the wound, Nora took a vial from a small box that contained purple powder which she slowly poured onto the wound. It hissed and created a little purple cloud as it came into contact to the wound but, eventually, it settled. “You should be okay with just that and a dressing. Plus, I’ll give you a potion to drink to help prevent an infection.”

“i fell.” he said again, keeping his eyes locked on her as if to prove his point. it helped that he was a great liar from time to time. “look, i’m happy to pay you more if you just tell me what to put on it from time to time.” lucius glanced down at his arm once more before rolling down his shirt sleeve. “i can honestly go to someone else, i don’t care.”
“I don’t need more money,” she replied, her lips tightly pressed into a thin line. “Money doesn’t stop me from asking questions and trying to do the time thing for my patient. Like I said, if you’ve fallen, it needs washing out and dressing to keep it dry. Try to reduce the risk of infection by applying this,” Nora grabbed a small tub from her collection of goodies laid out in preparation on a trolley.

As she carefully applied the cream, Leonora replied, “It’s to help with the healing so, it help speed up tissue growth and will help reduce you getting an infection in it. And no, no boyfriend, not that my patient should be worry about those kinds of things.” Her tone was teasing as she sat up straight and reached for a dressing to apply. “Food? You don’t need to buy me anything to say thank you; I get paid for doing this, you know,” she joked. “But, maybe? Once you’re not my patient I might be able to do that...”

“I assure you I did not intentionally cause a bookcase to fall on top of my arm.” The former Slytherin wrinkled her nose, the large gash on her arm was hardly pain free after all. “Putting together furniture proved to be more dangerous than I thought.”
“I try to stick to magically assembling things these days,” Nora mused, cleaning the wound carefully. “You can wiggle all your fingers, yes? Any pain when you do that?”
