svsss official new extras (oct. 25) from simplified CN print
not sure if everyone has seen the extra tidbits yet and i think some mtl vers are floating around twitter but i swear the real thing is even better and i don't have time to tl it myself in full but waiting for other people to which i think will happen soon - in any case, if you haven't seen these just yet and need to revive some resources for new headcanons etc. here's what we got with the extras:
because yes, in 2025, we got mxtx writing a 20,500 word extra for us and she gave us a beautiful afterword that felt like she was talking to an old pal ;-; i did post this originally on twitter
SQH and SQQ get a notice from the system that they have enough points and have unlocked the benefit of a week’s excursion back to the real world
SQQ realises then that he hasn’t died - his body has just gone into shock
SQQ (SY) and SQH originally wanted to first research how to use the system to go back then tell LBH and MBJ but the system tells them it’s a limited time offer LOL so they just do it ONLY to realise that only a day has passed in the real world but it also means that if they stay for a week in the real world who knows how much time has passed in the book AND SY is like ‘lord knows what LBH is gonna do’
They wake up in hospital with SQH in the normal wards and SY in the VIP ward, and so he goes grab SQH and upgrades him to be in the same ward as him
SY goes on a walk in the hospital and meets a lot of old people and chats with them and one old uncle was like ‘wow this young man has such an extraordinary aura’ about him and SY is like DED I’ve put on the front of a shizun with a fan and that kinda vibe for too many years LOL
They’re chatting in the same room now and SQH discovers that SY is a fuerdai (from a rich family) and he’s mind blown like why are you reading this dumbass story and no wonder u have so much money to gift the story and author (him) - SY says he can’t help himself because he thinks one moment the story is trash and then another moment that the author has something good going on here before going back to rant about how trashy it is later
LOL and SQH’s real name is Xiang Fei and SY is like how the hell did u end up with such a dirty pen name and SQH is like WELL MY NAME IS SO COMMON AND VARIATIONS OF IT ARE ALR TAKEN UP
SY has two older brothers who stay in remote areas (one in the Antarctica and another up some mountain tea farm place?) and a sister called Shen Tang
Shen Tang sees SQH there and doesn't even do a double take that there's a weird stranger in her brother's VIP ward but she tells SQH the whole fam is used to it because SY has a habit of taking in strays ;-; so yes lol SQH = stray
They both go through medical check ups and they’re fine and SY realises no one has come visit young SQH and offers to have him stay at his house but SQH wants to go back to apartment and eat instant noodles ahem- write the extra for his book!!!
SY realises he's never really spent proper time with his fam and in the main book he did lament a couple of times iirc that he didn't do that so now that he's back he really wants to do that
his brothers fly back from wherever they are along with the fam to eat dinner and spend time with him after his day of coma HAHAHAHA - and then the doorbell rings
LBH has come to find him omg!!!! AND SY is a little panicked in the beginning cuz he has a different face from SQQ in this world BUT LBH RECOGNISES HIM WITHOUT ANY WORDS
LBH HAS ALWAYS KNOWN SQQ IS SY, right from the start, he HAS ALWAYS LOVED HIS SHIZUN FOR WHO HE IS
"The one who brought me up and taught and cared for me is you so who else would my shizun be?"
He just never mentioned it since SQQ never seemed to want to mention it, and he doesn't care how SY came to his world, only that he did!!!!
SY intros LBH to his fam as his GAMING DISCIPLE LOOOOOL and Shen Tang shares his childhood stories with LBH who's SUPER INTERESTED
SY brings LBH to cut hair!!!!
AND SHEN MAMA LOVESSSSS BINGHE, BINGHE SWEET TALKS AND EVERYTHING HER and she's like "Xiao Luo's future wife will be one lucky woman!" NOT KNOWING THE WIFE IS HER SON AND RIGHT THERE
They even go on family excursions out together I weep
Anw they then have time to delve into what the system is and SY gets some time to chat with the system, and the system basically came about because of LBH, who wanted to find a happy ending for himself ;-; Won't go into the details cuz I skimmed over but CRYINGGGGGGGG there's LBH-ancestor basically aside from LBH first life and LBH second and current life we know
MBJ also comes with LBH to find SQH and scares the shit out of SQH who's in the middle of writing his 180K word extra to PIDW
MBJ and LBH i swear to god are kings and protagonist halo protected in every world because they barely came for a few days and LBH manages to turn up in an SUV with a chauffeur AND SY IS LIKE WHERE AND HOW THE FUCK DID YOU EVEN
MBJ ALSO MOVES SQH INTO A FUCKIN MANSION BECAUSE HE COMPLAINED THAT SQH'S RENTAL APARTMENT AND BED ARE TOO SMALLLLLL yes implied shared same bed
MBJ AND LBH READ PIDW TOGETHER on the couch in the mansion and they're annoyed at how OOC PIDW is and how long certain scenes are like MBJ is like "why is this scene so damn long" and SY is like "cuz author was fluffing words, he spent xxxx words just on the harem chasing alone, xxxx words on blah blah"
But no in the end they don't know still that SQH is the author and SQH is too scared of being flamed IRL to admit it and SY helps him round up the lie by saying SQH is a book fan LOOOOOOOL
SQH updates an extra to his fic and then new fanwars begin in the comments I love itttttt and people have to remind new readers that cucumber bro (SY) is SQH's biggest hater but also biggest supporter
And SQH was actually supposed to be the one to save LBH initially but the system deemed him too cannon fodder and side character vibes and too much of a salted fish to be of any great use LMAO and iirc they waited a few years ie watched SQH be a salted fish and dutifully playing a side character for years before going "if we depend on this dude we all gonna die time to give up and pull someone else in, next please"
Anw SY comes to the conclusion that they're able to move in between the PIDW book and real world they just need to accumulate enough energy and points in the end, and he tells his fam to not be alarmed when he faints occasionally LOOOOL
There's a tiny mention of Shen Jiu too and it's an open ending for him kinda but we can all believe he went to some place good ;-; hopefully a place where him and his gege can be tgt ;-;
Will add more when I read the book in detail again!! Managed to get my hands on three numbered copies of the print ;-; TIME TO BUY THE LOTTERY YALL. NEW CANON STUFF WE ARE DOING SO DAMN GOOD LIKE IT SOUNDS LIKE A FANFIC BUT IT IS REAL CANON SHE WROTE THIS AND I AM SO EXCITED FOR SVSSS FIC WRITERS TO COME UP WITH NEW AMAZING SHIT
