You had a horrible day at work, everything was just seeming to piss you off and make you feel so obsolete. So when you went home you immediately showered, changed, and got into bed. After about 20 minutes of silently listening to your radio, the front door opened. Then you heard a comforting voice speak to your dog/cat.

Steve sets his prized baby’s keys (The Beamer) down on the table in the foyer and shrugs off his jacket. "Where's mama, huh?" he coos to the derpy fluff ball. He heads down the hall and lightly knocks on the bedroom door. "Baby?"

You sniffle wiping your eyes, "Come in.."

He enters with that stupidly happy grin that softens when he sees the state of you. "Hey.. Wanna talk about it? Or we could just cuddle?" Steve's arms open as he sits down on the bed.

You practically launch into his arms, burying your face in his sweater clad chest."Work sucks. Felt like I was swimming without being able to come up for air, ya know what I mean?"

He runs his hand through your hair comfortingly. His lips press gently against your temple, lingering for a moment longer. Your hair is moved away from your face with his tough but gentle fingers. "Just overwhelming or were people being dicks?" His tone is a soft murmur.

"Both. I just- ugh. Today was one of those days that suck for no apparent reason. I missed you, my dog/cat vomited, I am bloated, everything really". You sigh, calming with his presence.

"I'm sorry, baby. M'proud of you for making it through the whole day. And you're totally the hottest girl ever, bloated or not". He adds in an attempt to lighten the atmosphere. You laugh, albeit weakly, "There's my sweet girl". He murmurs, kissing your head. "Want me to keep cracking horrible jokes?" That grin again.
