the centaurs team went to visit theirs captain cus they felt really bad seeing ilya so sick cus ilya never got a cold so bad “russians don’t get sick”. When they knock on the door, they heard shane screaming inside that the door is unlocked and they can come in.

they gather in the living room and ilya is all over shane, every peace of his body is glued to his husband. they stay for a while, ask if the couple needs help with anything or if they can cook something and ilya is always attached to shane, the canadian couldn’t even go to the bathroom without ilya behind him.

When the letter came in the mail on February 21st of 2024, Shane thought it had been a mix up. It was heavy, very heavy. Obviously good material and dense, when Ilya walked into the room he actually screamed, startling Shane and causing him to drop it on the ground.

“What?” Shane bit out as he bent down to grab the card, Ilya smacked his ass before taking the card out of his hand full of excitement. He tore it open, not even bothering to try to be careful with it which earned a grunt of annoyance in Shane.

Ilya unfolded the paper and prepared his throat by clearing it. “Ilya and Shane Hollander–Rozanov! You have both formally been invited to this year's Met Gala!” If Shane had never heard his husband squeal before, here was the day he did.

Ilya did a small little jump before containing himself. “This year's theme is … ‘Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion’ what the fuck is that?” Ilya muttered to himself before shrugging and discarding the card on the dining room table.

“We will be the hottest there.” Ilya was already panning out their outfits, Shane could tell by the sheer amount of hand gestures that were already happening. “We can not be boring though– everyone just wears suits… maybe you wear slutty dress!” He said happily, as much as Shane loved to see his husband smile in the moment. He just had to ruin it with little remorse.

“Have fun.” Shane scoffed out, turning back to the rest of the male and putting aside all the stupid magazines Ilya was subscribed to.Ilya let out a whine which made Shane look up at him, his husband. A 33 year old russian man was giving him the biggest puppy dog eyes in the world, they out weighed Anya by a mile. 

Shane sighed and looked at his husband deeply, “Ilya.” He began but Ilya broke character and rolled his eyes. “But we must be together to be ranked best dressed.”

Shane froze slightly at that, his mind running through all the thoughts. “We get ranked together?” He questioned, his eyebrows squinted. 

“I guess,” Ilya shrugged. “If you want, but usually it is ah… one person themselves.”

“Individual.” Shane said well, looking directly at the Russian. The words were like bells to Ilya Hollander–Rozanov’s ears.

“Ah, yes. But if you do not want to go…” He trailed off.
