I took some classes over the last few months on flamework, and have been spending time at the studio! Here's a first attempt at making eyes. No teacher, I just watched a few tutorials to get the general idea.

Bedazzling the tiny pumps.
I'm struggling to be very reliable at the moment, but I'm still working hard on trying to remember how to be happy. I think I could bead doll clothes for days, but the limiting factor is usually that I need to make them first!
Hm, I'm still trying to come up with something for her that is interesting but also looks nice. I don't think I've gotten there yet.
I think I can polish her eyebrows off! Her head is filled with some horrible sticky mass of yellow glue that doesn't soften in solvent, I'll have to try heat.
I'm also planning how to make her a hip that let's her legs pose, but am undecided how best to go about it. A minimalist kind of shape and use armature wires? Or round out the upper thigh and create a ball jointed hip?

I'm grateful that dolls will always wait until I feel ready to pick them up. I picked up this Disney Tinkerbell porcelain doll at the thrift shop for a few dollars. I think she has a lot of potential for fun!
Her legs weren't poseable, so maybe I'll try to 3D print some kind of jointed hip for her. She also had poorly placed acrylic eyes, easily fixed. Also strangely it seems like her lips and eyeliner were surface paint while the brows and blush are fired on.
A collab with @nonasuch ! Making little doll jewelry, just a few to test if people like it. If so, I'll make more!
Okay, we've got some little ladies to be made into jewelry! It's been a long time since I've used china paints and porcelain, and they're very small (pictured in a butter dish), but I think they're cute so far!
All projects were on hold due to a head cold π
Hm, I think I'll go back and try a different sculpted lash shape. I'm trying to evoke "moth" but we're not there yet.

Playing around with a kikipop that's been sitting on my Lost Dolls Bin for a long time.
Well my Rasendou Touya is in one piece, for the first time in a very long time! I think someone could work on her for one hundred more hours, fixing bubbles, perfecting joint shapes, covering her flaws, but for now she is the best she's ever been. I quickly printed some new hip and knee joints so she has a little bit more function.
For now, I'll enjoy my 'new' doll and move on to another project!
I have a strange feeling that I shouldn't permanently alter dolls, but I think it's not that serious π€ The Rasendou bodies have so many problems, it wouldn't really be worth preserving the default state!
You know, it's funny how much I enjoy painting tattoos on dolls given that I don't have any tattoos. I'm too fickle to commit to permanent ink!
I was gifted a Rasendou Touya and she's been in a box for a while. She's very rough, lots of air bubbles, but I enjoy trying to make something not conventionally ideal beautiful!

I've been gone for a while :) Right now I'm working on some little porcelain dolls that will get made into jewelry.
I've had worsening depression for a long time, but have been working hard to make changes in my life. Trying to build a life worth living is slow, but creating is meaningful to me. So maybe posting a record will be helpful; I used to like doing that!
