Inferno - "Hell" in Italian, is an interesting concept in Hellraiser films. There is no fire and hell priest even mocks such notion as if Hell is about fire. True torment comes from our own building - it is sum of our obsessions and inabilities to let go. Cenobites are more like guides to help us to find the true selves and our deepest desires. The true evil in Hellraiser are human and the true hell is the world we make for ourselves. And isn't it the actual truth of our suffering in life? Most the damnation we cause ourselves - trough our actions, words, thoughts or lack of them.
