“I love milkshakes!” The boy said, speaking with more conviction in his voice than he even realized he was capable of. There hadn’t been many things that have excited him lately- especially not since he has been at Brielle… but the thought of milkshakes was enough to put a smile on his face. A smile that wasn’t forced as so many of his smiles were lately. “What’s your favorite flavor? Maybe we could ask the doctors to bring in milkshakes… Like m-maybe as a reward for going to therapy and stuff…”

Lei looked up with a smile, having not even realised anyone would be listening to her. “Me too.” She laughed softly. “I think I like banana best.” Lei said, though it was the longest time since she’d ever had a milkshake. “Or strawberry.” A pause. “You think they would?”

Skylar was also wandering the halls, her wheels gently clicking on the hard floor as she pushed herself down the corridor. She heard a voice as she turned the corner and smiled softly. “We’re not really allowed to use the kitchen, least without permission, but if you find a nicer nurse they might help you”

Lei looked up at the sound of the voice nearby, seeing the girl in the chair. “Oh... I know, I was just... talking to myself.” She sighed, but she really was craving one. “Maybe I can ask someone.”

“I um, I don’t think I can help with that,” Peter said.

“It’s okay, I don’t expect you to.”

Makayla had managed to convince the nurses to be able to drink her meal replacement shake while walking the hallways, provided she was supervised to make sure she actually drank it.  Hearing someone mentioning a milkshake, she perked up, hoping she could get someone else to drink the shake she hated so much.  Looking around, she saw the nurse that was supposed to be watching her talking to another nurse.  She quickly headed over to the other girl.  “This isn’t exactly a milkshake but it’s close enough right?”  

“What is it?” She wondered, looking at what the other girl had come over to her with. There were a couple nurses nearby in the background but it didn’t really strike anything in Lei as strange or suspicious. It looked close enough to a milkshake like she said so she reached to take it from her so she could taste it.

“yeah .. ok. I think air could be nice.”

“I know that feeling,” Tasha smirked, sitting down across from the young woman. “Anything you need to vent?”

“I don’t know.......
