Hogwarts: Legacy of Magic

( POLICIES )

I. Hogwarts is an 18+ only environment. Please understand that this server allows NSFW threads, and the age limit is for safety. Please do not lie.

II. We are a Literate+ group, this means one-liners are not allowed outside IC chatrooms, and we have a minimum of two paragraphs per scene response. All RP excluding the IC chatrooms MUST be in Third Person.

III. Keep your character realistic to the world, and adhere to the rules in the lore. To keep things fair, and to add a bit of fun to the experience, we ask that members use dice rolls to determine the outcome of various circumstances.

Anything that can fit in a Strength, Casting, Dexterity, Performance, Intelligence, or Charisma Check MUST be rolled for.

Please keep in mind that you can only control YOUR character. Be realistic about the world in character, your character and player knowledge will vary and differ– Your character won’t know everything you do, so please don’t act like they do otherwise.

IV: If you choose to play a character that breaks the rules, or a character that likes to push the other limits, please be prepared for in-character consequences depending on the circumstance. Try to remember what is realistic, allowed legally, and the consequences of them before you act. If you are unsure about the consequences of an action, staff will happily discuss it with you.

V. Make sure you communicate with your roleplay partner before a scene. Do not do things such as flirting, bullying, or fighting without first making sure it’s been discussed and agreed upon. We also ask that members try and work things out privately if issues arise, however staff is happy to act as a mediator.

VI. While we do understand the appeal of aesthetics, refrain from using any fancy fonts in the RP entirely. We like to keep things easy to read. without the extra aesthetics. This also goes for overusing formatting like italics and bold. This is to help keep things readable for those who are visually impaired.

VII: NO AI USAGE IS ALLOWED AT ALL. Anyone found using AI for replies will be banned immediately, those who use it in their applications will have a chance to change it before being accepted. Refusal will result in a permanent ban from the server. There are no exceptions.

VIII: Muns are allowed to make three characters for free, however, your first character MUST be a first year student.

Your second and third free character slot can be either a Professor, a Ministry Employee, or a Civilian. Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Character Slots must be purchased, but can be used to make older students if preferred.

Please remember that Students will be aged 18 - 25, and first years MUST be 18 BEFORE the start of the September semester. IX: FCs can be anyone, as long as they have some sort of Social Media presence. This means models, influencers, musicians, etc, will be allowed. The only thing the admin asks is that you abide by a -10/+10 rule and USE YOUR BEST JUDGEMENT.
