We are so excited to have teen drama scholar Kelly Diaz join us as a featured guest! Kelly and Maria first met in 2023 when Kelly reached out to interview Maria as part of her dissertation on depictions of youth activism on television, and the pair have been friends and collaborators ever since! Kelly has joined the podcast numerous times to talk about her research, from plotlines featured in her diss from Felicity, Switched At Birth, and Heartbreak High, to applying that research to other teen shows like We Were Liars, Sex Education, and Young Royals.
