there are things worse than a salesman knocking on your door and one of those things is me, dropping yet another ginhiji doodle dump—a honking turd post, if you will—on your dashboard. i’m sorry. i truly am. please accept this accumulation of random drawings from a while back and also last night (or 6am, if we’re being honest lmao).

here are some captions for the photos to give a paltry amount of context:

#1+2: ginhiji realizing their feelings for each other and then denying it to their last breath which will likely be one final insult about the other and his delicacy of choice

#3: just some practices. in the bottom right corner, gintoki is saying to a very grumpy hijikata ruffling through his pack of cigarettes with three already crammed into his mouth, “wow. keep smoking like that and souichiro-kun won’t need to kill you.”

#4: if two classic enemies to friends (to lovers) are plastered together, chances are it’s due to the UST or someone hot glued their clothes who may or may not be a sadistic child with too much time and a craft tool in his hands

#5: gin-san is definitely not walking off a hangover and if he is that’s no one’s business but him and the toilet and if he wakes up in the afternoon, time just works that way

#6: i’ve come to terms with the fact that i was put on earth solely to draw ginhiji doing grand dumb shenanigans like this

#7: can you call it ginhiji if it’s not at least a little bit violent

The fic is fantastic and sooo spicy. Don’t get to see many genderbend fics but the characterisations are all spot-on and the story  works well with the canonverse!

Anniversary of the bowl exchange in lesson 551

a genuinely smiling gintoki and an oh shit these are feelings hijikata and the last one is gintoki using his special occasion sexy eyes with the dialogue being something like:

“what? you gonna kick my ass or kiss my mouth”

“…shut up, yorozuya. can’t i do both?”

[deep inhale]

if i could spare an unwanted opinion, i firmly believe ginhiji would never marry unless it was a blackmail scheme by sougo in which case gintoki’s vow would be “in the name of BANDAI NAMCO PICTURE, formerly sunrise, i, sakata gintoki, take thee, mayora 13, to be my unlawfully wedded husband and i pledge to feed you dog food everyday” and hijikata’s vow would be a very pointed, “fuck you sougo” before exhaling a whole cigarette pack’s worth of smoke and skipping the speech he had definitely not written up prior and going straight for the “pretend” kiss

“…c’mere, bastard”

i have a feeling (and boy, do i have a LOT of feelings) that if ginhiji ever hug it’ll either be because their bodies are duct taped together or it’s real frickin’ soft but somehow the deteriorated part of their brains will make it a competition to one-up the other hence this very intriguing display of affection haha

(slight confession that i may have drawn these two images on separate occasions which is why one is super grainy since some loser—me—scribbled the lineart on a fraction of the whole canvas and didn’t realize it was zoomed in until it was too late… sigh.)

wanted to do something a bit different and made an angsty little comic about hijikata and gintoki’s pasts and how, despite their own separate traumas, there’s similarity in them carrying a sense of guilt.
