Did she go overboard with how she felt towards the other. She didn’t except him to understand her explanation anyways. It was probably different from how the other thinks. “Ah.. But you do deserve the same amount of love as the others.” She shrugs and watches him as his face turns slightly red. Was he embarrassed for what she had said? “Ah– Y-You’re welcome–” She smiles at him. As he took her hand, she felt her heart beating faster again, even though it had calmed down a couple moments ago. “A-Ah.. N-No.. I-It’s fine.. I think I’m good with how it is right now..” 

“Do I really?” He tilts his head just slightly, as if thinking about it. “I guess I do, I still think I’m more handsome than Myungsoo hyung.” He blurts out without thinking, but laughing at his own silly remark. He breaks the contact briefly as their sweets and drinks arrive, thanking the waitress with a smile. “Areyou sure? Well, after all this sugar you might have energy to stay awake for weeks, that’s enough to prove you’re awake, right?” He jokes, chuckling lightly and staring at the cakes for some time before moving them to just one plate making a tall pile of cake. “Should we sing the happy birthday song or is it too embarrassig for my date....?”

“Ah, that’s because you don’t share rooms with Sungyeol hyung. He’s too noisy, I just wish he wouldn’t snore so much.” He blurts out happily, laughing at his own struggle in his shared group life. “I’ll take your advice, hyung. Maybe the music will hide Sungyeol’s noisyness and help me sleep better.” He takes a mental note about the advice, actually curious about the efectiveness of the soothing songs. He checked a product he didn’t know, reading what was that for, but putting it back on the shelves because he would probably use it wrong and spoil his crazy dinner. But the male’s following words made him smile much more. “Really, can I? I’m a big fan, you know? I could make the dessert and we can watch some movies too!” He talks fast, just as he usually does when he’s excited, or anxious, and he might be a mix of both right now. Sungjong quietly nods. “I would love it, hyung. If it’s not much of a trouble for you. I eat a lot.” He chuckles, pulling out his cellphone and googling the recipe they needed, then handing the oler his device. “Here, you can check What you have and what is missing! I hope it’ll be easy to make, and if it’s not... I hope it’s at least yummy to eat!”

He shifted slightly on his spot, making himself more comfortable and easing his muscles. “Mogami? What a cute name!” He widens his smile in a friendly manner, making his eyes look smaller and cuter. “You don’t worry about it, I was in need of some company, by the way. It’s sad to be very lonely in such a cute place.” He chuckles, sipping calmly on his drink. “Unless you fing me boring, then you can run away, don’t worry.” He jokes, hoping the female could be at easy like that or at least laugh a little. “You’re from here? I mean... Tokyo. It’s such a nice place, I wish I could live here.”

As Dawn was looking up at the clear sky she heard the voice next to her, assuming that he was partly speaking her thoughts out loud. “Mmm, very beautiful.” It took her a few moments to let the second part of his words sink in, “Your beauty? What?”

He grins shamelessly, adverting his eyes from the pretty sky to the female by his side. “Yes. Am I wrong? I’m the most beautiful thing in this world, admit it.” He nudges her playfully, but actually expecting a positive answer os hers.

Making her feel uncomfortable– Was she making it seem like that to the other? Suddenly she felt guilty for making the other think that way. It wasn’t that she felt uncomfortable, it was more like she felt like at the moment she was just dreaming. However, if she wanted to try to wake herself up, she felt like she should do something to the extreme, maybe stabbing her hand with a knife, the pain wouldn’t hurt if she was in a dream. It could probably jolt her awake and she’ll be back at Mogami’s apartment. “A-Ah.. N-No..” She looks up and smiles at him. For the first time with the time they’ve spent time together, she finally managed to pull herself together and look at the other in the face. “It’s really not that you’re making me feel uncomfortable.” She bites the bottom of her lip, “It’s more like… from a fan’s point of view. This…” Umji looks around the cat cafe before looking back at him, “Do you know how many girls would die to have a moment like this? Their favourite idol sitting in front of them, and noticing them… It just feels like a dream right now. How do I know that I’m not dreaming and you’re actually real?”

He blinks slowly as he tries to absorb her words. He knew she was a fan, but he wasn’t quite expecting this kind of response from her. She caught him off-guard. “Welll..” An airy laughter scapes his lips, his fingers messing his hair shyly. “I know about it, just that... I expected it for Myungsoo hyung, or Howon hyung... I never thought someone would feel this way towards me...” He mutters this embarrassing confession, now it was his time to not gather enough courage to face the girl in front of him. The rubor on his cheeks were too embarrassing. “I promise this is no dream.” He takes a breath and shrugs the shyness away, getting back to his old bubbly self, smiling at the girl. “This is the best birthday gift I’ve ever received, thank you.” He pulls her hand just lightly, to firmly hold in his. “And if you wish, I can help you on trying to wake you up.” He winks playfully, a cheeky grin on his lips. 

He couldn’t help a laugh at the curiosity and borderline disbelief. It made him feel endlessly old, talking about classical music as he shopped for cake ingredients. “Yes, they’re very relaxing, easy to sleep to, and I can talk without getting confused by words,” he said with a gentle smile. He tilted his head at the next sentence, then nodded hesitantly, a little confused. “He might be, I’m not sure. He’s Super Junior’s Donghae,” he said happily, his whole face lighting up as he spoke, though unsure whether Sungjong would know of him and consider him a sunbae. He wasn’t entirely sure how the system works. Seeing the items the other was picking, he tried to play detective with what he might be trying to have for dinner, and failing awfully. He was truly happy, smiling at Kyuhyun with an energy that could only come from being a famous idol. The optimism was also wonderful to be around, and Kyu basked in the happy emotions. “Yes, if we only made friends with people who were like us, the world would be so boring and monotonous!” he laughed. “Besides, having different interests to friends is how I find new hobbies.” The words drew his attention back to the cart, still not fully remembering the ingredients he had considered important just a few minutes ago. “I’m going to try, Sungjong. Try is the important word there.”

“Easy to sleep to...?” He repeats the other’s words in a mumble, falling silently into his thoughts. It would be nice to have a help at sleep time, since these days his dreams would keep him awake and he would be restless. He was brought back to reality once the male spoke again, blinking his eyes as he widens them. “You have to be kidding me! Super Junior sunbaes are like.... They are like gods to the k-pop industry! How lucky are you? One day I’ll be just like these sunbaes, that’s for sure!” He grins, a tiny little bit proud of himself and his own group, knowing one day he could be seen that way. He hummed lightly, picking some weird stuff and imagining he could combine them together with some eggs and rice. “Isn’t it? Friends are good to show you new ways of seeing the world, and that’s very important.” He nods to himself, then turning his head to flash the older a bright smile. “Thank you for being my new friend, hyung!” He blurts out without hesitation and not regretting it at all, just very happy about it. “I see. Once I baked some stuff with my hyungs. I wish I could help you... But I can also check on the internet for the recipe and we can see if you’re missing something!”

‘Yewonie’ Once the male spoke those words, again, she could feel like her heart was going to burst. She couldn’t believe that the other gave her a nickname, even though she knew that eventually… Maybe when they leave the cafe, he’ll forget about her and only think her as his one and only fansite. “I–” She felt a knot in her throat, she couldn’t even talk properly anymore. “I– I..” She fell quiet until the waitress arrives. As she listens to him orders, she looks back up with wide eyes. ‘My date’ He just called her his date. What was going on, why was this happening to her. She couldn’t believe everything that was happening at the moment. First it was a nickname that he came up with, and now he starts to call her ‘his date.’ She felt like she was dreaming at this point. “I– I would like some hot chocolate…” She mumbles quietly

He patiently waits for her, since she looked very nervous. As she finally speaks, he smiles brightly and repeats the oder to the waitress. “Another hot chocolate, hn?” The woman excused herself and Sungjong was alone again with the youngest. He opened his mouth to speak, but closed it right away since he noticed she wasn’t even looking at him. It might be cute, but he started to feel bad abou it somehow. “Look... If I’m somehow making you uncomfortable, you’re free to leave. It’s not because I’m the idol and you’re the fan that you have to keep me company.” He speaks softly, his hand moving shyly through the table, his fingers brushing just lightly over her hand, enough so he could get her attention. “It’s ok if you want to leave.” He assures her with a nod, even though if she does so, he would be totally lonely to celebrate his birthday, and that was something he didn’t want. “I just wanted us to enjoy and laugh and... You know, have fun. I’m sorry I’m making it hard for you.”
