Well hello there! It's been quite the week. I just returned from Writers Unlimited - Winternachten, an amazing literary festival in Den Haag, Netherlands, where I had the privilege to meet and and talk with so many incredible writers - Muhammad Aladdin, Hassnae Bouazza, Nina Weiers, Nii Ayikwei Parkes, Maaza Mengiste, Witold Szablowski, and so many more. I participated in three panels, most notably with the amazing Belgian cartoonist Dominique Goblet. I soaked in as much art as I could - the Rothko retrospective at the Gemeentmuseum Den Haag was a particular highlight, but I also can't say enough about the great master painters of the Dutch golden age: Frans Hals, Jan Steen, and Rembrandt, whose late self portraits make me cry. And I also had the pleasure of performing a bellydance set at the Friday night party. Those are just a few of the highlights of this truly incredible experience.

And....today, I can reveal that I did the cover art for the new Mountain Goats record, "Beat The Champ", which is possibly my favorite Mtn Goats record yet, though it's pretty hard to choose.
