Overall Description: 

Fluffle Jellybees are a new variant of Jellybee found in the deepest jungles of Crispia. Unlike its regular variant, these creatures are far more open and curious to outsiders. They also have a rather unique way of making honey by using laughter.

Appearance: 

As the name suggests, this species has a more fluffier appearance compared to the slicked back fur of regular Jellybees. The fur’s color can vary depending on which area of the lush jungle they live in. Most common colors are greens and light pinks with a darker version of this color in their stripes similar to their regular counterparts. 

Fluffle Jellybees also have longer, fuzzier antennae for better detection and sensory input

These creatures are about the same size if not slightly bigger than regular Jellybees. Though small Fluffle Jellybees are the most common size. 

Behavior: 

Fluffle Jellybees are very docile creatures towards cookies. Often getting a little too close for comfort at times. This is how members greet each other.

These creatures thrive in numbers and have a structured system like regular Jellybees. When looking for flowers and cookies, they would normally have two or three members in a scouting group. 

There are rare occurrences that scouts would fly to great distances to find nectar or food

When a scout discovers a flower or cookie they like, they will communicate with the others of what they found via buzzing and short flight patterns. They also see the potential the cookie has before tickling them.

Fluffle bees can also recognize faces. When someone they are familiar with comes back to their hive, they will happily fly around and nuzzle them from time to time. 

Hives are normally built extremely high on trees and on the trunk of the tree instead of the branch

There are 50,000-100,000 members in a single beehive!

When not scouting for food, fluffle bees take the time to care for young, produce honey, and take the time to rest for up to 10 hours (a sleeping group of fluffle bees is called a Rug due to members sleeping perfectly aligned with each other)

Hunting/defending: 

Hives often deploy out scouts to retrieve nectar and laughter for the others 

These scouting groups often seek out cookies if there are residents near the hive’s territory, and like flowers, they collect laughter for their hive. If there are no cookies in the surrounding area, then they will find flowers to collect.

When a scout spots a cookie, they will immediately lead the others to them and proceed to quickly nuzzle into sensitive spots, mainly the neck or stomach. Their main goal is to overwhelm their target and cause them to fall so they can have better access

Fluffle bees will also use their claws to get better reactions, much like Sugarbutterflies 

Once enough laughter is produced, the bees will using their fur or tongues to collect particles left by the laughter before flying away. 

When a hive is threatened, Fluffle bees will be on the defensive and attack the threat using their stingers. However, these stingers only tickle to cookies and make the area stung even more sensitive. 

How to avoid:

Watch your surroundings and avoid hives: Fluffle bees are extremely rare to come across, but if you happen to be near their territory, try to keep your distance from the hive 

Ignore Scouts: Scouts only engage if the cookie notices them, if you see a scouting group coming towards you, it is best to go about your day and pretend they aren’t there. They are more likely to fly away due to little engagement (NOTE! This does not apply to all scouts!! As tested by one of our explorers)

Do not swat or hit: This will only lead to them stinging you, as this action only agitates them

Environment/where to find them: 

Fluffle Bees can be found in the deepest jungles of Crispia. Typically in the territory of the Hollyberry Kingdom. However, due to how endangered they are, adventurers are prohibited from taking them out of their environment. 

Fluffle bees are extremely sensitive to environmental change, and will pass if these jungles are tampered with in any way. 

Honey: 

Fluffle Bee honey is described to be sweet and delicious by many Hollyberrians who tasted it. But even more sweeter when laughter is put into the mix. 

Without laughter, the honey’s color ranges from light to dark pinks from the flowers they have collected. 

However, when these bees collect laughter, the honey can have a range of colors like a rainbow. 

Hollyberrians’ honey typically has a more redish tone with a fruity taste. It is recommended to have toast or berry juice with this honey  

Cacaoians’ honey is has a purple hue to it. It is a bit bitter, but rich in chocolately flavor. Though it is quite rare to obtain due to most residents being afraid of warm climate insects 

Vanillians’ have a light yellow or blue hue, though the latter is extremely rare to come by. This varian of honey is very sweet and is used in recipes due to its resemblance of vanilla extract. It is typically eaten alone or with a salty treat for a perfect sweet and salty balance 

The Golden Cheese denizens’ have a more bolder yellow hue compared to Vanillians’. The honey is typically rich in flavor much like them kingdom and taste like savory melted cheese. It is highly recommended to eat it with a Charcuterie  board filled with jellies, berries, and even more rich cheeses! 

Honey typically flows heavily from the hive to the point where it hits the bottom of the jungle floor! Hollyberrians help these busy bees by extracting the excess honey from them.

Hollyberry and her family was one of the many hollyberrians that helped maintain these hives. When the Crème republic wanted to research them, she was a bit wary at first!

Fluffle Bees have a preference to laughter, it is shown that some fluffle bees would go after cookies with a different laugh than another.

Most Fluffle bees tend to go after stoic cookies, and after testing this theory and tasting the honey, scientists confirmed that honey from serious looking cookies have the richest honey in flavor 

Honey collected can be mixed together to make new flavors. Though, it is not recommended to mix strong flavored honey together 

If the beast cookies were to have honey based off of their laughter, then it would not be recommended to eat the honey from the source due to the strong understand like flavors

Pure Vanilla tends to use this honey for medical magic and confirms that honey with laughter makes patients better 

Hollyberrians can extract up to 20-30+ jars of honey from the excess honey alone (Now those are some busy bees!)

Doesn’t mind being tickled: that is if you get her of course

No one has ever tickled Timekeeper before. Most reasons being because of her being the director of the TBD and possibly doing such a thing meant certain termination from the organization, but the other reason being that she’s hard to catch off guard 

If she predicts her ler is going to tickle her in the future, then she would just teleport away the moment they come near. However, she views it as a game rather than something rude (of course this is off the table if she doesn’t know you at all)

If you manage to catch her off guard, then she’d be entertained. She actually enjoys being caught by her than them giving up after so many attempts

With having to watch over timelines and seeing multiple outcomes, it all becomes mundane for her. Make your moves truly unpredictable, you’d get a rise out of her. 

And as you can clearly tell, she is a sucker for tickle games.

Most of her major tickle spots are unusual ones like the back, collarbone, etc.

Her laughter is often goes high pitched when the ler targets these tickle spots, you might also get a squeal or two accompanied by kicking if you’re lucky 

Her main lers are Croissant Cookie and String Gummy Cookie (normally tags along sometimes due to Time Keeper doing something reckless again)

Ler: 

Unpredictable. 

She would mainly teleport behind her lee and tickle them before scurrying off somewhere else, and will not stop until the lee can’t stand 

Anyone that works in the TBD is fair game for her, no matter the department, if she’s bored and sees you as a potential target, expect feeling skittering hands at random times 

Her favorite lee to target is her alternate self just to mess with her. 

As stated before, she loves tickle games, especially if she’s the one that initiates them. Her favorite is telling the lee that she would tickle them, but won’t tell when exactly she’d do it. But once the lee lets their guard down, that’s when she normally strikes

That being said, anticipation is her deadly weapon; if she’s feeling extra evil, she’d have her lee to guess where she would strike next. But don’t worry, she would give them extra hints so they can guess correctly! (only to do the opposite)

Timekeeper isn’t one for comfort per se, but she would go and get you a glass of water if she got you too good. Overall, she’s a pretty fun ler to get wrecked by if you enjoy the twists and turns ;)
