I haven't been around because my life has been hijacked by dysfunctional family members. I had plans this year of going to Oideas Gael, and was particularly excited because it's Bliain na Gaeilge... but it's just not going to happen. I haven't given up learning Irish, though. I study via audio on my work and home commute, which is a 45 minute drive each way. I listen to ceol as Gaeilge at work - in fact I very rarely listen to English music anymore. When time permits, I watch TG4 or listen to RTÉ. If it's not too late, I work on writing and grammar before I go to bed. I also decided to start a journal in Irish. I care deeply for my family and must say they are trying. As long as they are trying I won't turn my back on them, but if they're not careful, I may just buy a one way ticket to Dún na nGall!

Anyway, that was as much a rant as it was an explanation. I may not be progressing as quickly as I would like, but I'll go kicking and screaming as Gaeilge before I give up.
