sometimes you gotta make a weird face….you gotta….

This past Sunday, I went on a quick day trip with some of my hometown friends to Joshua Tree National Park. I feel like one of my favorite forms of self care is finding dedicated time toward my hobbies. During the business of my daily schedule, I find that I often lack dedication toward my own interests. For this reason, I spent some time with my friends outdoors rock climbing. This was my first time traditional climbing which was much more difficult than my previous bouldering and top rope climbing experiences. Overall, I enjoy being outdoors and simply spending time with my friends which makes these outdoor trips so enjoyable. Getting sun in, catching up with friends, and physically exerting myself with some climbing makes for a perfect day!

I'm really happy with the sequence I found for this. It's a V4 at the Powerlinez in New York state called Slabasaurus. It was such a beautiful day

I really love the fact that old school cimbers really just wore whatever was already in their closet even to go big walling. I'm so close to taking the soles off a pair of dress shoes just so I can show up to the crag in full office attire.
