When she smiled at him, he felt it like one of Cupidâs arrows to his heart. He was surprised his pupils hadnât turned cartoonishly heart-shaped, themselves, his smile widening as she spoke. âYou never have to be nervous â you couldnât bother me if you tried.â Eddie laughed then, dragging his teeth over his bottom lip. âI was hoping youâd come⌠you know, you made my whole night? Maybe my whole weekend.â He pushed open the door that led from the main part into the back where their bunks were. It wasnât nice or new or elaborate by any means, but it was pretty cool. âCâmon, itâll be a quick tour, then we can sit and catch up.â He reached his hand out for hers then, smiling sweetly. âDo you want my autograph, Chrissy?â
Chrissy almost let out a nervous giggle at Eddieâs words, unable to stop her cheeks from turning red. She moved a strand of hair out of her face and behind her ear, her lips shifting into a smile. âI didnât know youâd be so happy, or else I wouldâve tried to come earlier.â She didnât want Eddie to know just in how much trouble she would be if her parents even suspected where she was, or how different everything was from her daily life. Maybe those two facts made things even more exciting. âOh, do I get any cool merch for being one of the early fans, too?â She replied jokingly, holding unto the hand that the male offered out to her. She wondered if he knew just how proud and happy she was for him to be living one of his dreams. âHonestly, going from city to city sounds really fun. I wish I could come with you.âÂ
