In truth, Jane wasn’t too sure why she had gone to a college party. It certainly wasn’t her kind of scene. But Uncle John thought that she was pushing herself too hard, and wouldn’t relent until she agreed to do something that wasn’t studying or tutoring. Maybe she should have gone to the movies instead. Yet there she was. “I don’t even know why I decided to come here, if I’m honest.” She admitted to the blonde. “We can be confused together.”

she looked at the girl with a little grin painted upon her features. it was nice to meet somebody equally confused and lost. “ you and me both – girl. “  she laughed softly, shaking her head. “ i guess i just like the sentiment of gathering together for a nice night. “  she shrugged her shoulders, pointing at the table full of drinks. “ let’s make this a little bit easier with a drink, yeah ? an alcohol free one for me but anyway – it’s the thought that counts.” noora smiled.

“wha- ohhhh. i’m flattered, but i’ve got a-,” what was she? “lady friend that’s not so platonic.” he said decidedly. but romeo had invited noora nonetheless when she explained earlier in the day that she was new to the city. romeo was at home in dc, and he largely ignored any unsettling feelings that he sometimes felt in his stomach about not belonging here, but he still knew that it could be tough to get to know people generally. must be hard in a completely new place. “you said earlier that you were from norway?”

the blonde frowned at the other for a moment, completely caught up in her own world before she tapped out of it and came up with the right words to say. “ lady friend ?  oh – well, i’ve got .. a boyfriend, i think – yeah, i think so. “  she looked down at the floor for a moment, trying not to get tangled up in her own thoughts about the brown haired boy back in oslo who had completely stolen her heart – even now that she was so far away from him – unable to find him on her phone or anywhere else.  “ y-yeah, i’m from oslo –  i eh, go to.. i mean i went to school there, i – “  she paused, confusion written all over her face. “ anyway – let’s go have some fun, yeah ? “
