To find meaning and happines in tending to your tomatoes, making jam from your grandmother’s recipe, or taking a nap in the sun is such a beautiful thing to me. There is such a feeling of luxury to be able to share a homemade cake with the people you care about, or to be able to give away some of your carrots to your neighbour, it really makes a little feel like a lot!

part 1 we are travelers, searching for what we call “home”. to find peace within. but you have to understand that home is not a place. and maybe we feel empty because we leave pieces of ourselves in everything we used to love. as humans, we are constantly trying to fill this void in our body which we are born with. we try to satisfy this emptiness by eating, loving, fucking, drinking, smoking, hurting; when we find something, or more so someone who is able to make us feel anything less than broken, we clutch on to them like we held onto our mothers fingers the first time she held us, and refuse to let go. we are thought to be co-dependent, we are used to only finding happiness in others. but the truth is, we do not need anybody to complete us, we are whole, holes and all, and no one can give or take anything away from us. we are matter; we cannot be created or destroyed. next time you feel broken, remember that you are not. you are exactly how you are supposed to be. this is a reminder that it is not permanent. part 2 if you were alone you would cut yourself in two so that one part would shape the other. we kissed until our lips felt swollen. nobody told me there’d me days like these. everything it’s in its right place. do you believe you’re missing out, that everything good is happening somewhere else? if not you, then who? if not now, then when?
