Thank you guys so much for the love and support you all have for my Scales, Tattoos and Gothic Punk Love oneshot collection! I really appreciate it.
I have not really given up on it per say, just haven't been inspired to write for the fandom since I am currently in a High On Life 2 kick with Sheath. I also have another chapter for Serpent Assistant on the way for you guys! ^w^
Maybe at some point I will return to our lovely glamrock Komodo Dragon, but for now he is on the back burner.

if you ever doubt that your ao3 comments matter or mean something: i have been struggling with my writing for 6 months straight, crying myself to sleep afraid that i will never be able to write again, that the thing i love most in the world has left me, that my writing is just gone
this morning i got this comment:
and after i stopped blubbering over it, i picked up my writing notebook, and re-read all my fic research, and opened up my document again for the first time in weeks without being afraid of it
you have no idea how much writers treasure every single comment we get. you have no idea how big an impact you can have. sometimes, just sometimes, your one "insignificant" comment changes everything
This is an AU where instead of Sheath being turned into a gun, you instead recruit him after promising to help him save his kill record and not kill him during your fight. Now he joins you as back up on your missions and lives at the Headquarters as a new member of The Bleeding Stars
I hope you enjoy, I had a lot of fun writing this and while playing through the game I am pretty sure Sheath was the only gun I wanted to use. Also his voice actor is the same voice for The Hunter in The Dark Crystal AOR and I freaked out. Now enjoy some hurt/comfort with our favorite cold hearted hitman!)
Circuit Arcadia is a large city, a giant central for all kinds of alien species to visit and explore. The population is endless and everyday new people come to Circuit Arcadia and some decide to stay. No matter the time of day, the city continues to live on and bustle with never ending life and noise. Even during the rainiest of days, night clubs and stores continue to shine as the pattering of rain showers over the giant city.
The smell of wet concrete and the sound of the metal pipes clinking from the rain beside you echoes quietly. The sound of distant car horns and people barely reaching your ears, but you know they’re there.
You have only been in this city for a week but the sounds have become something you look forward to on your usual mission outings or escaping the law. A small spot on a very tall building with metal pipes and vents is your go to resting spot between missions or when you just need space to breathe.
Becoming an Outlaw was definitely not something you expected, or even wanted, though you couldn’t blame your sister for being who she was. Saving humanity is important, it’s just after a while it became way too much. Especially after killing Muppy Doo and stabbing yourself repeatedly in the face just to stop him. It really knocked some sort of sense into you and the weight of your species' life slammed into your shoulders all at once. Just the idea of messing up and condemning your species to be farmed for pills makes you sick.
Yes you’ve saved them before, but the people you were fighting were galactic criminals, horrible monsters that not only tried to enslave humans and sell them as drugs, but other alien species. you were saving the whole galaxy from them and it was less stressful then. But now it felt like everybody was against you and wanted you to become anti depressant pills.
A groan leaves you, resting your back against a cold wet pipe and dropping your head down into your gloved hands. Your helmet left aside and skateboard somewhere resting on the concrete of the skyscraper, you were too stressed to care, too much going through your mind. The only thing keeping you from tipping over the edge was the repeated droplets of rain hitting against the back of your neck.
After listening to Lizzie rambling and the days getting closer and closer to the trial you finally got overwhelmed and ran off. You remember the yells of Gene, Lizzie and a few of the Gatlians echoed behind you. Even the new guy Sheath called for you as you ran off. You didn’t know if they followed and you didn’t care. You needed the space to think and get used to the idea of the fate of your species resting on your shoulders.
Sheath was an interesting new addition now that you thought about him, he was also hunting down Muppy Doo when you crashed the party and accidentally messed up his shot. To be fair you were not aware he was also going after your target. At least during your fight with him you were able to de-escalate the situation and recruit him to The Bleeding Stars, promising to help fix his kill record. Now he has joined your cause and has taken up living in the Quarters alongside Lizzie, Gene, K-SO and you. He joined almost every mission as back up and got you out of more trouble than you were probably worth to him. You would probably be dead if it wasn’t for Sheath watching your back.
“You know, I do enjoy a calm rainy night as well when my thoughts get overwhelming.” You completely missed the thump of a body landing nearby on the top of the building you decided to lay low on, nor did you notice how close they had gotten. Looking up you could make out the bright brilliant blue hair and yellow skin of Sheath, his form leaning against a metal vent system coming out of the building. He was wet from the rain and his hair was slicked back a little, but he didn’t seem to mind much. Your form relaxed as you turned your head away, looking out into the glowing lights of the city that blurred from the rain. You saw out of the corner of your eye his figure shifting slowly before you felt his much bigger presence move beside you, the shuffling of his clothes reaching your ears as he sat down and leaned against the same pipe you were.
“You were a bit annoying to track down y’know. But I have to admit it is very impressive.” He said, his voice deep and rumbling in your left ear as he spoke. Your head simply dipped down, eyes on the concrete below and looking between your wet and tattered boots. It was quiet for a moment, the rain softly pattering down and an especially loud distant honk of someone's car horn ripping through the air. Soon his voice cut through the quiet, it seemed less straight forward and more intimate as he spoke. “Whats on your mind?”
A sigh left your form as you thought of what you wanted to say, though what really caught your thoughts was how he asked what was wrong. You never expected him to ever ask such a thing. Sheath always seemed like a no nonsense kind of man, no emotions, just a killing machine. So looking over at him a little, eyes wide and seeing him looking forward, calm, and patiently waiting for your response, you decided it wouldn't hurt to at least talk. Your voice sounded quiet, almost pitiful as you spoke, like at any moment you might implode and disappear into yourself again, almost like how you were back on Earth.
“Do you think I can do this?”
A low hum left Sheath as he responded. “What do you mean?”
“The whole fate of my species rests on my shoulders and I could barely stop our last target. I almost died because I decided stabbing myself in the face was a good idea.”
Sheath softly chorkled, you can see his shoulders bounce a little and his head tilt away. “That was a pretty idiotic display…” he quietly mumbled, before taking a breath and turning his head looking down at you. “But you did manage to kill the target, and you lived. So what's the problem?”
“The problem is, can I really save my species? I barely handled our last target, what if they kill me and my species becomes basic cattle that are doomed to die and become fucking shitty pills!?” You cry, your foot kicking out and fingers curling in anger as your gaze hardens on the concrete by your feet. You looked away from Sheath fast before you spoke, feeling vulnerable and pathetic in front of him. You were wet from the rain, your long brown hair probably matted and you looked like you got run over by a lawnmower.
A small tear escapes your eye, getting mixed with the droplets of rain pelting your face as you shakily speak, your throat tightening and eyes getting blurry, your hands clutching your head as you finally say. “What if I die and my whole species gets turned into pills? What if I’m the reason my sister, my mom and dad all die because I couldn’t handle the pressure like I’m supposed to? I was able to kill the entire G3 cartel but I can’t stop this?”.
You quickly stand, your boots scraping on the wet floor as you turn to Sheath. You were still pretty small compared to him, so him sitting where he was he still was at level with your chest. You quickly jut your hand out, gesturing to him as you continued to spiral on. “And what about you, Gene, even K-SO!? What if Rhea finds you and ends up sending you three to prison or something just because you decided to help me and Lizzie!? I just…Augh! God I am..so pathetic…” you cried out at the end, turning away from Sheath and burying your face into your hands. God, Sheath probably thought you were a horrible excuse for a Bounty Hunter, even if you were an Outlaw now. He still probably thought you were weak, even foolish.
Rain continued its rhythmic sound, metal tinking and your clothes getting more soaked as the water continued its descent. The only other sound that finally came out was the shuffling of fabric and the sounds of boots coming closer. Before you had time to react a sudden heavy warmth wrapped around your form, squeezing tightly and even a gentle weight pressing down on the top of your head. “It is without saying that you have been through a lot of hardship, and I truly admire how strong you have been despite the circumstances life has decided for you.” The deep cadence of Sheath’s voice echoed above you. You couldn’t believe this, he was actually hugging you. Mr.PhysicalTouchIsJustADistraction is actually hugging you. It shocked you to your core and you could barely move, especially when you felt the vibration of his voice dance on your wet scalp as he continued to speak.
“But that does not mean you should spiral into madness over your situation. The best thing you can do is push forward and try your best. Dwelling on the fears will only get you killed in the end. You are not alone on these missions anymore human, and I will have your back...You have me” The last part of his speech was quieter than the rest, almost bashful even. But that didn’t process in your brain as tears formed in your eyes and a choked out gasp left your form. Your hands reaching up and tightly gripping into Sheath's forearms that held you so tightly, so securely. You cried for almost ten minutes, and not once did Sheath interrupt you, he just held you and let you.
Once you quieted down and the only thing surrounding your forms was the gentle sounds of rain and the city did Sheath finally let you go. His arms releasing your smaller form and his body moving away. You took that time to wipe away your tears, looking up as he returned seconds later with your skateboard and helmet. “Lets head back to base human, you looked like a drenched Furgle.” he stated, his voice monotone and lacking humor, but a snort still left you anyways as you took both items from him.
“Yeah, let's head back. Probably gonna get an earful from Lizzie…”. You did not look forward to dealing with that, your sister seemed more hot headed nowadays and you did not want to face her wrath, especially at the moment looking like a sad wet dog. A sudden weight pressed on your head, ruffing your wet hair and causing a warmth to spread onto your scalp due to the contact.
“Worry not human, I’ll make sure when we return you can relax in peace.” the deep voice of Sheath reassured, causing a smile to grace your face. “Thanks.” you hummed, watching him nod and walking ahead, ready to leap off the building in search of a Call Station to get Gene to pick you both up and escape the rain. You slowly followed, but paused mid step as you thought back to what he said. You could have sworn he smiled when he said that.
(Note: Thank you so much for reading! Let me know if I should make more of these, especially in this AU. I do plan on this being a simple one-shot but I would love to write more for Sheath! Anyways comments and suggestions are always recommended! Thank you ^w^)
(Note: Hey guys, this is my first Villainous fanfiction so bare with me if the characters are a lil off. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated and I will also love some prompts and requests for this lovely one shot series! anyways enjoy!)
Working for Black Hat Organization is definitely not the go to job for any sane or insane person. Unless you're a masochist or some other worldly being with powers that can withstand the horrors and chaos within the manor.
Now (y/n) wasn't any normal person, she wasn't even human. A creature from Greek mythological origins. An immortal creature with the power to turn anybody to stone with the look of her sharp serpent eyes. (Y/n) has been alive for a long while, and over the years she has encountered Black Hat first hand, and from that day she has worked under the embodiment of evil as his personal assistant and general assistant to the others in the manor.
“Hey, don't use your fangs! what did I say?”
Hissss
“Yes thank you, I appreciate it. But you know how Black Hat feels about holes in these documents-”
Hissss
“Vika you aren't helping..”
(Y/n) huffed and took the document out of the snake's mouth that rested on her scalp. On the paper were two punctured holes at the very top due to the snake's fangs. The Gorgon groaned softly and tucked the paper into the folder within her arms. The snakes that made up her hair shifted and watched her with curiosity, their little tongues flickering from their mouths. Though, quickly they went back to resting when the woman they were attached to pointed at them with an accusing face and tone.
“Don't try acting all cute you guys, he is going to be annoyed and you know it.” (y/n) huffed out before adjusting everything in her hands and making her way out of the archiving room deep within the Black Hat manor walls.
The plush tapping of (y/n)’s heels echoed in the expansive hallways as the Gorgon made her way to the Lab first. She needed to drop off a few things for Dr. Flug, and how could she say no to giving a warm hello to 5.0.5?
A gentle knock and the creaking of two lab doors opening were the only sounds (y/n) gave before she squeaked and quickly ducked when a beaker was sent flying over her head. She quickly stood, her head and her fellow snakes whipping their heads to see the cacophony happening before them.
“DEMENIA STOP THROWING!- PUT THAT DOWN YOU LIZARD BRAIN!”
“Make me Nerrrrd! Hahahahahaha!”
“I SWEAR TO!-” Crash! “HEY! STOP THAT!”
Before the snakish woman was a pretty common scene in the Black Hat Manor. Demencia, the punkish pink and green girl held a very expensive looking invention in her grasp. She ran around the laboratory room full of fragile glasses and deadly inventions trying to evade a certain scientist.
Said scientist, Dr. Flug looked ready to blow a blood vessel as he chased the crazy punk around. He seemed to be trying to take back the death ray he was working on for their boss. (Y/n) watched with wide eyes, not moving an inch from her spot as the two ran about. Though the Gorgon decided to finally let her presence be known and coughed gently into her fist.
“Oh hey (y/n)!-” Demencia called out before letting out a squeak as she fell down, getting distracted with the greeting. This finally let Dr. Flug fire his weapon and hit the lizard girl with a tight rope that immediately bound her. “Gotcha!” He cheered before ripping the ray out of her hand. Now that he wasn't distracted with trying to catch Demencia, Dr. Flug looked over at (y/n) and waved nervously.
“H-hello Ms. (Y/n)! Apologies for that, y-you know how Demencia is.”
The Gorgon simply smiled and raised a hand “it's alright. By the way I have the list of things that you need for the grocery list as well as the chemicals you needed to get for the up and coming ray you are working on”
Dr. Flug's goggles lit up before taking them from her extended hand. “T-Thank you! Hopefully I can get this weapon finished before Black Hat starts ripping limps off.” He muttered. Demencia suddenly jumped up having escaped her restraints.“So what if a few limps get ripped off? That sounds freaking awesome!” She stated.
Dr. Flug face palmed and glared at Demencia “Because the limps he would be tearing off is mine! I kind of need those.” He grumbled. Demencia rolled her eyes and flicked his forehead “whatever, couldn't you like? Grow new ones?” She asked. Dr. Flug and (y/n) both equally cringed before everyone froze in their spot when the echoes of a haunting yell ringed in their ears.
FLUUUGGGG!!!
Soon, with the poor well-being of the doctor, they were sucked into his paper bag and teleported to their Eldritch bosses office.
(Y/n) was always in awe at Black Hat's office. From the wallpaper that has been there for almost as long as she has been in the manor, to the knick knacks and paintings that line the walls like a museum. She has seen things change and move and it was always a hidden enjoyment to see something new.
Sadly the little Gorgon couldn't enjoy such privileges as she fell to the ground, followed by Demencia. As the snake woman slowly stood she watched and heard as Dr. Flug bones cracked and snapped loudly and he was positioned into a bow before Black Hat's desk.
Their boss stood ominous behind his desk, his ink colored back faced towards them as he stared out of his expansive red window that made up the back wall of his office. It always left this sort of creepy red glow on his desk and floors that managed to give everyone the creeps. Slowly Black Hat turned, his visible eye sharp as he looked down at his three minions with disdain. Demenica was sighing lovingly at the eldritch horror, her hands clasped and hearts in her eyes. Dr. Flug was softly groaning in pain as he tried to move himself up after having his bones broken then reassembled. Then there was (y/n), who swiftly fixed her outfit and was checking if the folder in her arms were wrinkled, the snakes in her hair shifting slightly to check on her themselves.
“G-good evening s-sir…what is it you need-”
“The organization has been contacted by a Dr. Cerebus to deal with another disgusting hero who has been attempting to disrupt his work.” Black hat swiftly interrupted, leaning onto his desk and the glint in his monocle shifting devilishly and his smile growing wickedly at the idea of destroying another heroic pest. “Dr. Flug! Demenica, you two will deal with Dr. Cerebus.” He commanded, a snarl on his face as he glared at the two. Quickly Dr. Flug saluted “yes! Lord Black Hat sir!” While Demencia sighed rubbing the ball of her shoe on the ground as she purred out “Anything for you my love!~”.
Black Hat grunted before snapping his fingers and the two disappearing, most likely to the ship to make way to whatever client has requested them. Now all that was left within the office was Lord Black Hat and (y/n).
(Y/n) stood awkwardly, her snakes staring at Black Hat as he sat down in the very luxurious chair that awaited him. “Do you have the documents I requested?”. (Y/n) jumped from the sudden deep grumble that left Black Hat before quickly walking forward with the soft taps of her shoes closing in towards his desk. “Y-Yes sir, everything is right here. I also gave Dr. Flug that list you requested I give him.” She responded, placing the old folder onto Black Hat's desk.
The demon let out a hum as his sharp talons took hold of the folder and opened it. Though as soon as he opened it, his frown deepened when his singular eye saw the two small holes punctured into the document on the first paper he saw.
(Y/n) bit her lip, her small fangs peaking out as she noticed Black Hats reaction. “I-I apologize sir, Rita was just trying to help me and accidentally punctured the document..” she uttered, the snake in question hissing when being called out, making the Gorgon glare at the offended snake.
“Oh shush, I told you not to do it.”
Hissss!
Black Hat just groaned and put the vanilla folder down, leaning back and his eye glancing up as (y/n) argued with the snake attached to her head. She spoke with a hushed tone, not wanting to be too loud. Same with the snake she dubbed Rita, who hissed quietly back at her. The rest of the snakes that made up the Gorgon’s hair stared at Black Hat curiously.
“Enough.” That was all it took from Black Hat and (y/n) swiftly silenced herself and turned herself back towards him. The snake is also quick to quiet and glances at Black Hat. The two almost resembled two children getting caught by their parents while trying to steal cookies from the cookie jar. Black Hat almost found it cute. “Make sure it does not happen again.” Is all he simply stated before the Gorgon nodded, a quiet ‘yes sir’ leaving her lips.
Black hat stared for a while, before he beckoned her closer. (Y/n) eyes widened at the gesture, before she slowly moved herself around his desk. Her sharp reptilian eyes were locked onto his demonic ones as she stood beside him. She seemed stiff, trying to keep her professional facade.
Black Hat gestured to his desk with a simple flick of his wrist. (Y/n) let out a soft sigh before she relaxed her composure, leaning against Black Hat's desk. “How was your day sir?” she softly asked after a good moment of silence. Black Hat grumbled as he reached into a drawer of his desk, bringing out two crystal whiskey glasses and a rather expensive and inhuman looking alcohol. “Long. But after today we will have one less hero in the world so why complain.” He chuckled deeply, his sharp teeth glistening and his eyes narrowing in glee. He slowly poured the alcohol into the glasses, slowly sliding one to (y/n) who now sat on the surface of the desk. “What about you, my dear?” He hummed, leaning his chin into his free hand while the other took his own glass, pressing it against his lips as he drank it.
(Y/n) hummed and fiddled with the rip of the glass in her hands, moving it lower when she noticed her snakes slowly moving down to try and grab a sip. “It has been busy, but not boring. Though I had to stop Vika from biting the phone cord when I was trying to answer calls.” She grumbled, her glare looking at Vika. The snake simply gave a sassy head turn, their eyes closed and a tongue flickering from her mouth.
Black hat let out a deep chuckle, his eyes slowly traveling up (y/n) physique that sat cutely on his desk. His eyes slowly when he reached the Gorgon's soft and elegant face. Even after the centuries together, she hadn't changed a bit. The only thing that Black Hat has seen change is her style of outfits but other than that she continues to be the calm and loyal little assistant that intoxicates his non existent heart.
“Well my dear, it seems we both have had mundane days.” The eldritch stated before raising his glass towards the snakish woman on his desk. She simply smiled in return and moved her drink to gently clink against his before the two sipped the other worldly beverages.
It was such a domestic scene between the two inhuman creatures, and one that they craved almost daily. A break from the chaos and mayhem that Black Hats employees reap in the Manor's halls and rooms. While it was not something completely horrible, work is completed and the Black Hat Organization continues to be on top. (Y/n) has been Black Hats oldest and most loyal employee, and the only one that he has grown a soft spot for.
When the manor empties and the others are out for the day, Black Hat and (y/n) cherish these quiet moments to catch up calmly and let the professionalism fall.
“How are those snakes of yours? When was the last time they shed?” Black Hat hummed, glancing up at the shifting reptiles on the Gorgon's head. She groaned softly and gently pet one of the snake's heads, placing down her glass on the wooden desk with a soft clunk.
“It should be coming up soon, they've been antsy about it.” Black Hat simply grunted in response before he placed down his down empty glasses, moving it off to the side before he moved himself towards (y/n). He placed his talons on both sides of her hips before gently sliding her across his desk to be right in front of his chair. Then the eldritch horror moved forward and stood, his height making his tower above the serpent woman. His eye was sharp and the reflection of his monocle shifted as his smile grew. The lighting from the window casting his face in shadows and making his one visible eye glow eerily as he stared down at the little Gorgon caught in his grasp.
“Well then (y/n). Maybe I can make the shedding process much more…enduring.” He softly growled, the deepness of his voice rumbling through the Gorgon's ears and making her flush and shiver a little. Black Hat slowly leaned down, his body happily taking up the space between her, getting face to face with his little snake. The snakes attached to her head swooned and watched at Black Hat was soon moving his lips towards (y/n).
“Bah bah!”
Black Hat reeled back, standing up straight and glaring right at the entrance of his office. (Y/n) quickly following and turning to see 5.0.5. The blue bear seemed to have been left behind from the mission the other two were sent off to. So obviously he had to look around and see if anybody else was around. Though it seemed that he interrupted Black Hat's alone time with (y/n).
The atmosphere grew cold and eerie as a low growl left Black Hat, his eyes never leaving the bear's form as his form grew unstable, his claws digging into the wood of his desk and his snarl deepening. All (y/n) could do was watch as his shadow engulfed her further, the snakes of her hair curling back nervously against their owner.
“YOU LITTLE PIECE OF!-”
5.0.5 let out a frightened growl and quickly booked it out of the office, Black Hat instantly ready to follow before a small hand on his claws froze him in his tracks. His eldritch eye slowly moved down to look at who dared stop him.
The sight Black Hat saw was (y/n) small frown, her fangs peaking out of her mouth and her serpent eyes staring before him with a slight glow. She looked so small before him, so fragile. Her legs crossed daintily and her soft hands helped her lean back to gaze at him eye to eye. Black Hat let out a growl, the sound of it echoing and ancient before his form slowly shifted back to normal. “You are lucky that I tolerate you. Or I would be doing nothing but ripping every single scale off your head for the next five hours.” He hissed. (Y/n) simply smiled, moving her hands to gingerly fix his tie that got put out of shape from his transformation.
“I know.”

Summary: It was just another normal day at the Tattoo parlor, until a certain show pony decided to show up for his first tattoo. How is Modo gonna react?
(Note: Hey everyone! I am on fire with these new chapters coming out and I have even more ideas coming out. Each time I rewatch GOAT I get a new idea each time. This one though was a suggestion brought up in the comments and I just had to do it! Hope you guys enjoy ^w^)
Throughout the years, Jasper has had a colorful selection of clients roll through her chair. Tons of different kinds of animals of all different sizes and textures. The tattoo parlor she worked at, Tough Scales, Tattoos and Piercings, was a quaint little spot. It wasn’t the most popular of tattoo spots in Vineland but it was definitely known among its usual people. Jasper was the youngest artist at Tough Scales, being trained by Lindy, a gruff pig woman who definitely took no shit from people and specialized in gothic artwork and black and grey realism. The owner, Leno, was someone else entirely. Full of decades of tattooing and piercing experience. He has seen almost everything when it comes to his line of work. He was a very tall Green Iguana, hence the name of the place being named Tough Scales since it originally was a spot for reptiles. Though slowly the place grew as new clients started turning up that weren’t reptilian, so he hired Lindy to help out.
The last employee of the Tough Scales joint was Carlos. The only guy who specialized in just piercing. He was added a few years before Jasper was brought in as an intern. Leno wanted to expand but knew he alone couldn’t be the only guy to do piercings, so Carlos was hired. Carlos was a hyena with so many piercings Jasper liked to joke that he was more holes than hyena. Tough Scales was a place full of misfits and over the years have become a rag-tag found family.
It was the middle of a calm summer day. The only folks in the parlor being Lindy, Jasper and Carlos. Leno was out for the day for a family gathering so Lindy was in charge. At the moment, Lindy was working on a client for their second session on a giant back piece. She was deeply focused as she worked, the buzzing of her tattoo gun and the small snorts she made the only noises leaving her station. Carlos was cleaning up his station that was in a separate part of the building. He liked to call it his Evil Laboratory but Jasper liked to call it his Loser Cave, that usually results in Carlos chasing her as she laughs, hopping away and sticking her frog tongue out at the hyena.
At this moment it was calm and quiet in the parlor, Jasper organizing schedules at the front desk, answering client emails and sketching up new design concepts to perfect later. It was such a rare quiet within Tough Scales, but not something people would turn away from. It was always welcomed and besides working on a client and making peoples ideas come to reality on their skin, it had to be one of Jasper’s favourite times during work.
Sadly though, all good things must come to an end. Suddenly the front door was slammed open, causing a surprised ribbit to leave Jasper as she looked up from the computer. At the door stood a very tall figure, greys and blacks making up his figure as he walked in like he owned the place. Easily Jasper recognized who it was, almost all of Vineland knew who he was unless you lived under a rock! At the door stood Magma’s number one player, Mane Attraction.
Mane was a very imposing figure and it was obvious he loved to take up the attention of a room, especially when in the home of Magma’s rival team. Slowly the horse moseyed up to the front counter and leaned down with his right elbow on the desk. He was looking right at Jasper with a smirk on his face, his gold tooth gleaming in the lights of the shop. “Sup girly, you take any walk-ins?” he asked nonchalantly. Jasper was frozen for a moment, the stories that Will had told her flooding her brain when he told her all about Mane and who he was. Jasper has been told all about The Cage incident and how the Claw Finals went.
Now even through all that, Jasper couldn’t pass away a client for no good reason. So Jasper put on her professional facade and smiled up at Mane. “Were you looking for a specific artist?” she asked. Mane huffed softly before his smile widened “Nah, I’m just looking for an artist that can do something like this. Need it to be absolutely perfect if it's gonna be on my body, ya feel?” He answered before showing his phone, Jasper noting the fancy case and internally cringed. On his phone was a pretty detailed design of the Magma’s logo, with flames and sharper edges.
Jasper knew deep down that if she tattoo’d this, Modo would probably cry tears. Lindy and Carlos would probably cry too, them being the biggest fans of Roarball in the parlor. Leno and Jasper didn’t really care much when it came to sports, a client was a client and they delivered.
Jasper hummed and leaned back, looking over her schedule on the computer. She had a couple hours to spare and the design didn’t seem all that difficult. Plus she couldn’t say no to money, especially if the client would tip her big. She would definitely have to explain all this to Modo afterwards.
“I am available now till about 5pm, though I have a client after that. Where are you looking to get it?” She asked, looking back up at Mane.
“I’m looking to get it right here baby.” He answered, pointing at his right shoulder blade flexing the muscle right in the frog girl’s face. “Ya like that?” He hummed with an egotistical smile growing each second.
To Jasper’s credit, she kept a blank face, but internally she wanted to gag. All she responded with was a nod and tapped away on the computer. “Alright, just fill out this form and I'll get the stencil ready.” She hummed out, sliding a clipboard towards him. Mane just huffed softly and took the pen and clipboard, making his way over to the blood red couches in the waiting area.
Jasper made her way to the back employee area where the printer sat. It was pretty small but filled its purpose. It was also where they kept their mini fridge with snacks and water. Jasper got to work getting the design ready to print when she felt Carlos pop in behind her. “Jazz, did you see who’s out front in the lobby!?” he whispered to the tree frog.
Jasper slowly turned to the hyena and gave him a ‘you really want an answer’ look. Carlos glanced at what Jasper was printing and he gasped dramatically, pointing at the Magma logo stencil coming out of the printer.
“You traitor!” he whined to the frog, who responded with a roll of her eyes.
“Come on Carlos. I know that he’s the main player of the Magma team, and I know how much you hate the team. But I don’t think that is a good excuse to push away a client.” Jasper replied as she took out the finished stencil. Carlos groaned and leaned against her dramatically, like an older brother trying to annoy their younger sister. “Comme onnn, what will Modo think?” Carlos added. Jasper stopped as she thought. She wasn’t fully sure how Modo would react to finding out she tattooed Mane. He would either openly sob about the idea of it, feeling betrayal because she tattooed an enemy player. Or he will be indifferent, knowing that Mane is just another client to her.
Jasper sighed and shrugged “I don’t think he will mind, plus this isn’t the first time I've tattoo’d a different Roarball team logo.” She stated before walking out. Carlos whined before quickly telling her “Wait till I tell LINDY!”.
—-----------------
Soon Jasper got everything organized, getting Mane’s ID and the filled out form. Soon they were in her chair, the frog having him sitting and leaning into the back of her tattoo chair. The stencil was still drying on Mane’s shoulder, the inky blue contrasting against his grey skin.
Jasper puffed out a breath as she looked over everything, leaning over to rub against the stencil to make sure that it was fully dry. Mane shifted a little, his arms crossed as he looked at his phone, a little bored until he felt Jasper’s finger brush against his skin.
“Someones getting touchy.” he teased, though Jasper just hummed. “Just checking the stencil, which looks to be fully dry. Are you ready?” she asked, looking Mane in the eyes. Mane just huffed before nodding, turning back around after a second failed attempt to flirt with her.
Soon Jasper started her work, the buzzing of her tattoo gun going as she worked. While Jasper worked her magic, a few hisses and groans left Mane. He might have been a roarball player, but the pain of a tattoo is a whole different kind of pain. Jasper thought it was sort of funny, but she tried to prioritize her clients comfort as she worked, but it seemed Mane was being a bit of a baby with this tattoo.
Mane’s eyes wandered a little, seeing some of the thorns merch resting on the walls. His eyes continued to wander until they landed on the photo in Jasper’s work station. In the photo was her and Modo, holding up peace signs cheek to cheek and smiling like goofballs at the camera. “Huh, what chu and that crazy lizard doing in a photo? Didn’t know that freak could even find a partner.” Mane laughed out. Jasper’s eyes quickly snuck a look at the photo mentioned. It was one of her favourite photos and it was the first time Modo and her went on a date. “Haven’t you seen socials? Are you really surprised Modo Olachenko has a partner? He is literally known as a thirst trap.” Jasper responds blankly. She leaned back from her position, having to stand up on her stool due to their height difference. Quickly Jasper pulled up the social media tag of Modo and handed it to Mane.
“You're gonna seriously say he can’t get it, but easily beat you as roarballs number one pretty boy?”. The frog teased, then quickly took her phone back and pocketed it.
Mane just grunted when a certain stroke of the tattoo gun ran over his skin. He grumbled quietly before deciding conversation probably wasn’t gonna go his way, especially since Jasper showed him up. The horse decided that being quiet was his best bet and he glared ahead, a frown etching on his face as Jasper returned to her work with a pleased smile on her lips.
What the two didn’t notice was a certain hyena peaking around the corner and recording their conversation. Originally Carlos was going to use it to tease Jasper and get her yelled at by Lindy, but he has a much better idea now.
—---------------
Finally the session was over, Jasper cleaning up and placing a secondary skin over Mane’s new Magma tattoo. Jasper droned on with her usual speech about tattoo aftercare, explaining what to do as Mane and her walked to the front desk. The frog hopped into the chair, ringing up the Magma player. Soon Mane left, his ego slightly bruised from the frog’s sharp tongue.
After that, the day continued as normal. Jasper finished up her last client, who happened to walk in just as Mane left and almost freaked out seeing the famous player. The amphibian sat at her station alone as she cleaned up, the only sounds in the room being the soft music playing from the speakers and the gentle scraping of her chair moving as she shifted around. Jasper was ready to be done for the day, everything piling up and her energy leaving.
The amphibian was so deep into cleaning she didn’t notice a presence behind her. She only noticed when she felt a sudden weight wrapping around her calf. Jasper blinked before looking down, seeing familiar turquoise scales. The frog quickly turned around and saw Modo in all his iconic glory. The Thorn’s player in his glamrock style as he moved his sunglasses with his tongue so he can see Jasper clearer. “Hello little Solnisko! How was day?” he asked, pulling out a free chair and straddling the chair, his eyes still on the frog in front of him.
Jasper let out a tired sigh as she leaned back. “It was a day, I had a walk in on top of my booked clients and it took so much energy out of me, all I want to do is sleep.” she replied as she ran her hands over her face, trying to wake up. Jasper moved on instinct and grabbed a bag of snacks resting on her station drawers, tossing it to Modo who happily took it. His tongue sneaking into the back to grab a few crisps left inside.
“Oh Modo has heard! Mane was here, yes?” he suddenly asked.
Jasper froze in her spot, her back to Modo before her head slowly turned to him. How did he know that Mane was here? Did that Show Pony post about it? Trying to tear down the thorn name and her with it? Soon the culprit entered the room, Carlos smiling deviously as he approached the lizard and frog.
“Carlos…” Jasper growled, glaring up at the hyena whose smirk only grew.
“So I might have recorded a little of your conversation with Mane.” Carlos admitted. Jasper’s eyes widened and she stuttered just as Carlos added.
“And decided to show Modo.”
The amphibian’s eyes quickly darted over to Modo, a look of worry and guilt hitting her face all at once. Was he mad at her? Did he hate her and think she basically betrayed his team? The poor frog was having an internal panic attack as she kept eye contact with Modo. The lizard just stared, his face neutral before a smile slowly grew on his face.
“Modo didn’t know you looked him up on socials Solnishko.~” He purred, his smile growing cocky and her eyes lidding teasingly.
Jasper short circuited after that, Carlos laughing loudly at her reaction before walking away. The frog stuttered out a response, trying to defend herself as she opened her phone and explained that it was just to show Mane! She totally didn’t have thirst trap edits saved to her phone or anything and kept tabs on new ones popping up by fans!
Modo just chuckled, the sound deep and guttural as he leaned forward and took Jasper's chin with his claws, forcing her blood orange eyes on him. His piercings glistened and shimmered in the light of the parlor, attracting the frog’s eyes more to his figure. “You really are such a cutie frog baby. Maybe you can show Modo what videos you have of him, yeah?” he teased, his deep voice hitting Jasper’s ears that rendered her speechless. She was a flustered mess, her glasses crooked as she failed to speak words.
All the small amphibian could do was let out a flustered ribbit as she batted away his hand and continued cleaning up, Modo laughing and giving the frog a smile as she muttered about being basically bullied and moved around her station to finish cleaning and head home.
Internally though, Modo was happy Jasper stood up for him and it made him feel more secure about their relationship. He just hopes he does the same for her.
(Note: Thank you guys for reading this new chapter! Comments and Suggestions are always appreciated and I will devour all ur ideas! See you next chapter! :D)
Summary: All Jasper wished to do was learn how to play Roar 2k and connect with Modo. Things don't go as well as she planned.
(Note: I have been slapped by inspiration so guys get back to back chapters. I would like to thank the banger free time I got and the will to write shit! Expect another chapter soon probably because I don't want this train to stop!)
“Auuugh COME ON!”
Jasper was curled up on her couch, her blood orange eyes glared into the television across the room sitting innocently on the tv stand. Her glasses barely hanging on her face. Her hands gripped tightly on a gaming controller, ready to throw it across the room as the score of the game flashes on the tv screen. She lost once again, and it was starting to kill the poor frog girl's mood.
All Jasper wanted to do was learn how to play Roar 2k. This game has been something she wanted to learn for weeks. But time after time, she has lost pretty much every game she has played after work and it was starting to take its toll. Jasper wanted to learn this game to find more things to do with Modo. It wasn’t like she played the actual sport, goodness she hasn’t even touched a roarball since she was little. She just wanted to find a way to connect closer to her favourite reptile and try connecting to his favourite thing.
So for weeks after work, Jasper would return home, do chores, then quickly hop onto Roar 2k and try and get good at the game for her boyfriend. It was difficult and throughout the weeks she has been playing she made small bits of progress, she just hasn’t won a single game yet.
“Auuughh, how does he do this!? This game is torture…”
“Torture, where? And can I join?~”
Jasper screamed and jumped from her couch, her frame twisting quickly and remote easily forgotten as it was sent flying. “Modo! Wha- How- Hi! Why are you home so early?” she asked quickly, looking around awkwardly and trying to look for the tv remote to hide what she was doing. She thought the reptile was going to be late due to practice with the Thorns. Modo stood in the doorway, his yellow and brown eyes glued onto Jasper’s small figure. The komodo dragon looked confused from Jasper’s reaction. His tongue quickly flickered out, saliva following as it ran over his eye before they narrowed in suspicion. “Tonight is date night Kukolka, so Modo left early.” he simply states. Then his eyes darted from Jasper's nervous form to the TV behind her.
Jasper let out a little croak as Modo quickly scurried in, door closing with a quick slap of his tail. He crawled over the couch and stood up quickly beside Jasper, looking at the game playing on the television. Modo’s head then slowly turned to Jasper, a shit-eating grin plastered on his lips “What is this?”. Jasper stared right back, tapping her fingers nervously together, her small frog nose wiggling and making her glasses shift before she burst and finally decided to confess her recent activities. “Okay! Fine! I’ve been trying to learn how to play Roar 2k.” Jasper gestured to the screen then crossed her arms. “I just wanted to find another way to connect to you. I don’t play actual Roarball, so I thought learning the game would be the next best thing.”. Her voice trailed off slowly at the end of her confession, feeling a little nervous. She didn’t know why she felt nervous though.
Modo tilted his head a little, his smirk shifting into more of a gentle smile. Suddenly Jasper was lifted into the air and dragged into a tight hug. Modo squeezed her tight, his arms circling the frog's waist and his head tucking her close to his chest as he let out a happy purr. During Jasper’s confession Modo’s eyes were dilating, his movements growing antsy and excited at the knowledge of Jasper taking time out of her day to try and understand the sport he absolutely adores.
Jasper croaked softly as he let up on the tight hug, Modo smiling down widely at the frog in his arms. Jasper kept her hands placed on the Komodo’s shoulders for stability.
“Solnisko, you make Modo the happiest of all.” He purred deeply into her scalp, nuzzling his jaw against her skin with joy. “Modo has never had somebody try and understand Modo. This makes Modo so happy.” He softly stated, moving so he can look Jasper in the eye after rubbing his chin against her a few more times. Jasper blushed, a timid smile forming on her face as her eyes connected to Modos. “Well of course, why wouldn’t I want to learn more about you?”.
Modo’s eyes dilated and he smiled brightly, like a child getting the exact gift they wanted for Christmas. Modo made an excited grunt noise before pulling Jasper into a dance, the frog lady laughing along as they danced. Jasper knew when he was really happy, words could never put together how joyful he was. He swung her around in joy, knocking over a few things but they didn’t care. The only thing the two cared for in that moment was the dance they entangled themselves in.
Soon Modo finally placed Jasper down, the short amphibian moving about to pick up some of the knick knacks that were knocked away during their impromptu dance. As she moved around, Modo sat down on the couch, flopping down and easily making himself at home in his usual spot on the right side of the couch. Once Jasper put everything back she picked up the forgotten controller and flopped down beside Modo, his tail resting behind her. The tip of said tail slowly curled up to be flush with her thigh as she opened up the main menu.
“So how are games?” Modo asks, scratching his chin as he lazily looks at the screen. Jasper groans quietly and she dramatically slumps forward. “I am horrible at this game…” She grumbled, her glasses slowly sliding down the bridge of her nose. Modo snorted before his tail flickered and hit the controller out of her hands, the object swirling into the air and into Modo’s hands. Jasper turned her head and looked at the giant lizard, a pout on her face as he easily navigated the games menu.
“Modo will teach you! Game is very easy.”
“Well obviously it isn’t, I haven’t even won a single darn game.”
“No doubts Solnishko! Trust Modo, you will win.”
Jasper just grumbled as Modo set up the match and handed her the controller. The frog squeaked as she suddenly felt her body ripped into the komodo’s lap. The feeling of his shirt rubbing against the back of her exposed skin. She was only wearing a sports bra and lounge pants. The smell of his musk hitting her nose as he handled her into his lap, his larger hands laying over hers on the controller. Jasper tilted her head as she felt the weight of his jaw rest on her shoulder, a blush forming on her face. Jasper desperately tried to keep her eyes forward, but she couldn’t when her eyes locked on Modo’s hands and trailed up his arms, his claws gentle and the sparkles glistening from the light of the screen dancing on them.
The side difference in their hands always made Jasper’s heart skip a beat, or any size difference between them. How could she not? He made her feel like a gothic princess and him the goofy dragon that would do anything to protect her.
Modo rambled, his voice rumbling deeply against her shoulder, which made Jasper shiver a little as the sound vibrated through her body. He explained the rules (to the best of his knowledge, we all know this boy doesn’t know the rules), using his claws to point at what each button does and the best times to defend and attack were. Jasper sort of listened, but she was a bit too busy enjoying the feeling of Modo’s muscles rubbing against her tatted arms.
After a while Modo started to catch on that Jasper stopped paying attention, from her lack of button input and also the way her head started to lean against his. He realized she was too distracted staring at their hands than the actual game. Modo snorted and decided to let her have the moment, continuing to play the game for her. How could Modo deny having such a domestic moment with his Solnishko? Plus he was a delicious snack, he couldn’t blame Jasper for staring.
The rest of the night turned into Modo and Jasper playing Roar 2k. With Modo playing the game and Jasper happily nested in his lap. The two enjoying each other's company and time.

Summary: Jasper is finally meeting the rest of the Thorns team!
(Note: OMG thank you guys so much for the love of the first chapter! I did not expect as many people to read it so it is highly appreciated. So here is chapter two! Also I would appreciate some amazing scenerio suggestions for Modo and Jasper, I desperately need inspo rn ToT. Anyways enjoy!)
“I dunno Modo, are you sure you want me to go?”
“Well duh! Modo wouldn’t ask if Modo didn’t wish for you to join!”
Tonight the Thorns team decided to have a little night hangout. Have dinner and possibly hit up a few shops, just hang out and bond together. Tonight though, after Will went boasting about Jasper to pretty much everyone in the locker room, everyone on the team wanted Modo to bring his girlfriend along so the team can finally officially meet. Will compromised though and planned on bringing Daryl and Hannah with so Jasper didn’t feel like a complete outsider.
Currently, Jasper stood in front of her full body mirror, the vines from her walls curling around them. She lived in a two bedroom apartment, something small and cozy and right in the heart of Vineland. It was also an easy walk from the Tattoo Shop she worked at. Her bright red eyes looked over the outfits in her hands, trying to decide if she wanted to be casual or maybe something a bit more fancy. She was meeting Modo’s team for the first time and didn’t want to seem like some kind of slob!
Speaking of the giant lizard, he was currently laying stomach side down on the tree frog's bed, the sheets and blankets crinkled under the weight of his 11 foot frame as he watched his tiny frog. His eyes watched closely, lidded and relaxed. His tongue sticking out of the side of his mouth and his tail gently wagging behind him. The complete opposite of Jasper as she paced her room, grabbing outfits and muttering to herself.
“What if they don’t like me, Modo? What if I'm too boring and they don’t wanna talk to me. Oh ribbit what if they think im too much! Maybe I should put on something to cover up? Will the tattoo’s be too much?”. Jasper was frantic as she moved her hands over her tattoos, her fingers gently tracing the lines and shadows. She has never been worried or insecure about them, she loved her frog skulls and tarot cards. The frog was more worried about the idea of Modo’s team disliking her and finding her revolting because of these images forever etched into her body.
Behind her, Jasper heard as Modo slowly crawled off of the bed he previously rested on. Gentle thumping and clicking of his painted claws scraping against the hard wood of Jasper’s bedroom as he slithered up behind her tiny frame. Jasper looked through the mirror, seeing the bright pink of his shirt and the turquoise colors of his scales. Jasper blushed, her ranting dying down as she watched him with her wide eyes and shy frame.
Modo gingerly leaned his head down beside hers, which was pretty weird to see since Modo usually moved around with speed and dramatics. It made Jasper’s eyes widen more as she turned her head to him. Modo just smirked, his teeth on full display as he put his large hands on her shoulders, gripping them firmly.
“Solnishko, Modo knows team will love you. And if they don’t, Modo will bite them, simple as that. No need to get stuck inside head” He answers, his voice rumbly and guttural. Jasper just groans and places her hands on the side of his head before playfully trying to push him away. Said action earned the amphibian a laugh as he moved his head with her push, giving the illusion that she was strong enough to move him.
Jasper sighed softly as Modo’s snickers quieted. Her red eyes slowly looked back at the mirror, a crooked smile on her face before her gaze returned to Modo moments after. “You really think they will like me?”. Modo quickly turned his head to fully look at her, his tongue flickering out and wiping at his eye, which made Jasper gently giggle as he hugged her close with his arm, tucking her close. “Of course, Modo gives his word!”
—--------------
“Oh my goodness…”
“Modo knows, but food is very..delicious..Sluurrrp”
Currently Jasper and Modo stood out of a very high end restaurant. It looked very classy and definitely not the average place the small amphibian could ever afford. Jasper looked down at her outfit, cringing a little inside and thinking she didn’t dress up enough for this. She wore a black dress that reached her mid thighs, with see through floral fishnet sleeves. A small crescent moon sat on the cleavage part and a little choker matching Modo’s wrapped around her neck. With the dress she wore her favourite pair of black combat boots, the one with a few spikes and both boots having a small frog skull charm on the laces.
Modo was dressed in his spikey purple and pink top and his pink and white liquid pattern pants to match. His sunglasses sat on the bridge of his snout as he stood confidently. “Team is inside, come on!” Modo cheered before happily taking Jasper’s smaller hand and pulling her along. The amphibian let out a surprised squeak as she was ripped out of her thoughts, following along. Jasper timidly stood behind Modo as he walked his way to the hostess table. Jasper looked around, the restaurant reminding her of that show with the really angry chef yelling at everyone for messing up their cooking, Hell’s Kitchen? She wasn’t sure, but it reminded her of that.
The hostess, noticing Modo pointed him to the direction their table was and Modo nodded, offering thanks before turning to Jasper. “Come along Solnishko! Modo is excited for you to meet everyone.” he purred out before excitedly dragging her to the booth where the rest of the Thorns team sat.
At the table, the squad were all chatting, Will and his crew of friends together, Daryl barely staying focused since he was actually hanging out with THE thorns and Hannah barely keeping her cool as she sat next to Jett, her lesbian panic hitting her. Archie was chatting with Jett and Lenny and Olivia took a selfie together to make a post about their squad hangout. Modo approached the table, a small figure hidden behind his frame. Will was the first to notice. “Hey Modo, you made it!” the goat announced, making the others in the group lock eyes with the Komodo Dragon.
Modo slowed to a stop in front of the group and gave a lazy smile, his sharp teeth glistening with saliva. “I always do.” he simply responded. He seemed calm but it was obvious he was hiding his excitement, ready to burst any moment. “So, where’s this mysterious girlfriend of yours huh?” Lenny asked, an eyebrow raised as he leaned in, Olivia giggling but also leaning in, excited. Modo dramatically coughed into his fist before he spoke. “Modo’s team! Modo would like for you to meet, Jasper, Modo’s Solnishko.” He exclaimed before moving to the side and gesturing to the timid figure that was hiding behind him. Jasper let out a small surprised croak before smiling awkwardly and giving a quick wave. “Hello…” a small greeting barely left her lips, all her fears being slapped in front of her as the entire Thorns team stared right at her. Jasper was just completely ready for the ridicule and comments, finding her completely weird and hating her.
“Oh my goodness Modo! She is absolutely adorable!”
Jasper blinked in surprise before her red gaze was suddenly full of ostrich as Olivia introduced herself excitedly, taking the frog's hand in feathers quickly. “Hello! I’m Olivia! Such a pleasure to meet you!”. Jasper shyly smiled as she giggled, her anxiety leaving her body as Olivia led her to the table, Modo following behind and taking a seat beside Jasper and Will as Oliva dragged her along.
Jasper sat down, Olivia quickly going around and introducing the tree frog to everyone at the table. “This is Lenny, he's an amazing guy, very reliable and has an amazing creative flame.” Olivia rambled, Lenny nodded before leaning his head down to Jasper. “I dunno what you see in Modo, like, blink twice if you need help.” he smoothly said, causing Olivia to playfully slap his head gently and earning a few chuckles from the group.
“This is Archie, basically the dad of the group.” Olivia gestured to the large rhino near the head of the table, who gave a calm hello. “Then here is Jett, don’t mind her, she isn’t just grumpy with you, just everything equally.”. The comment earned a quick ‘hey!’ from the puma before a roll of the eyes and a wave. “Then of course you met Will.” Olivia said, gesturing to the goat across from Jasper. The frog smiled, glad to see a familiar face.
“It’s awesome seeing you again Jasper, these two here are my friends Hannah and Daryl.” He introduced. Daryl quickly leaned dramatically onto the table towards Jasper, his eyes boring into the frog. “You’re not a Roarball player, hmmm, do you work for the team?” he asked skeptically. Jasper nervously laughed as she watched the capybara sit down after Will dragged him back, giving a sorry smile. “Umm no, I am a Tattoo Artist.” Jasper simply said, making Hannah’s eyes widen. “Yooo! That’s sick, you do some of those ones yourself?” she asked, gesturing to her obviously ink covered arms.
Jasper shyly smiled and rolled up her fishnet sleeves. “I did a few of them, but only the smaller bits, like this one!” Jasper explained. Soon the conversations flowed between the group. Olivia excitedly asks to see Jasper’s socials so she could follow them, Lenny asking if she has ever done album cover art.
Between the conversations, Jasper turned her gaze to Modo, who sat quietly beside her leaning back in his chair and watching. He wore a smile on his face, more gentler than his usual grins that were made to unsettle others. Jasper looked up at him, her red eyes glancing into his yellow eyes. She gave the komodo a cute smile, thankful for his faith in her and pushing her out of her comfort zone. In return, Modo playfully winked and soon Jasper turned back to the others.
After a few moments, Jasper’s eyes widened and a small croak left her form. She felt a warm weight wrap slowly around her leg and she looked down to see Modo’s tail curling around her calf securely. Jasper blinked before a small smile etched on her face and she turned back to her conversations with Will and Olivia. The short amphibian was glad the outing was going better than planned, she hadn’t felt a lick of her social anxieties since she was first introduced and she felt really welcomed.
—-----------
Jasper watched as Olivia waved excitedly, the group now standing outside of the restaurant after they finished their meal. “It was lovely meeting you Jasper! See you soon!” Olivia cheered. Soon Lenny, Archie, Olivia, and Jett were walking away giving their goodbyes, headed to their respectful homes. That left Modo, Jasper, Will and his friends outside of the restaurant with the sun almost fully setting. Jasper waved them goodbye, a smile brightly glowing on her face.
Modo gently tapped Jasper with his tail and snickered “Modo told you they would like you.” He teased, making Jasper grumble “shush, I can’t help my anxiety.” She pouted. Will watched as Modo pulled the amphibian close to his form as he teased her, a smile on his face as he witnessed the new sides of his teammates. “Hey Modo!” the goat called out, causing the giant komodo’s head to whip around and look right at him, his pierced tongue sticking out and his eyes crossing. WIll cringe internally. No matter how many times he does it, Will is never gonna get over Modo’s creepy habits. “You and Jasper wanna hop over to the crib and play some Roar 2k?” Will offered.
Modo took a moment to stare before his gaze fell onto Jasper, who was already looking up at him to begin with. “I’m down if you are, though fair warning, I’ve never played before.” She answered with a smile and shrug. Modo smirked before quickly lifting the amphibian up, making her shriek in surprise and laughed loudly. “Modo will have to decline, little goat! We have plans.” He suddenly responds. Modo held Jasper up on his shoulder before walking away. “Another day, yes?” Modo calls behind him before waving. Will just smirked before waving, Daryl and Hannah waving.
“I wish someone would pick me up like that.” Hannah suddenly whispered, making Daryl and WIll look at her funny.
—---------------
The door to Jasper’s apartment burst open, Modo crawling in with Jasper clasped in his hold. His tail quickly shut the door as he continued his adventure through her apartment, the small frog still held tightly on his shoulder. “Modo slow down, what are we rushing for? Are you good?” Jasper asked, a nervous little giggle leaving her as he opened the door of her room and walked in. Modo maneuvered himself a little before manhandling Jasper and gently tossing her onto the bed.
“Modo what is up? Are you okay?” the tree frog asked, sitting up a little. A small croak soon left her throat as her red eyes widened when the giant komodo stood over her closely, her face leaning in with his teeth glistening and tongue sticking out. His eyes bore into hers before he growled out.
“It’s Modo’s turn for Solnisko’s attention~”. Lets just say, tattoos were not the only things painted on Jasper’s skin the next morning
Thank you so much for reading! Suggestions and comments are always appreciated and scenerio ideas for my lil froggie and favourite komodo would be highly loved and consumed! Until next time ^w^
Hey guys! So I didn't actually expect to get this many likes and love for Scales, Tattoos, and Punk Gothic Love. I promise guys I will get more chapters out, just gotta get them fluffy inspo first. I am still a lil baby writer! >3<
Getting all excited seeing people also using Solnishko as a nickname for their reader/oc in their Modo fanfics. I am squealing about it! I never expected to inspire others! >3<
(Note: Hello! Welcome to the first part of my One Shot Collection of Scales, Tattoos, and Punk Gothic Love! This is a fanfic I made specifically off the idea of Modo Olachenko dating a short Gothic Tattoo artist. Apologies for any grammar mistakes, this is my first fanfic -3-)
The Thorns, Vineland’s pride when it comes to the Roarball league. A team full of immaculate and colorful characters. This vegetated city has become more lively recently after the tough win the Thorn’s secured, bringing home The Claw to Vineland and finally making history. After such a win, the team have been growing a lot closer to each other, learning and becoming a found family team. As the Thorns grew closer, they started learning new things about each other they never thought were possible, especially their favourite iconic Reptile.
A door slammed open as the Thorns Team burst through the locker room door. They were all sweaty and tired after a long training session. Though Will looked hyped up as he bounced over to his space to change out of his jersey. The rest of the team didn’t know how he had so much energy, but they chalked it up to him being so young. Archie though finally had something to say about it. “Seriously kid, how do you have all that energy? You’re almost like my girls.” he states. Will just smiled and shrugs as he tugged off his jersey. “I dunno man, guess I’m just built different. Hey! What's everyone doing after this? I kinda wanna do something now, try something new!” Will said, looking over at the others with a smile and hopping in his spot with joy. Jett sighed and shrugged “Can’t kid, I promised Olivia I would go on one of her shopping trips.” Jett huffed, glaring at the Ostrich. In return Olivia giggled and smiled “Oh you are gonna love it! I’ve always wanted a girl day!” she declared, grabbing Jett’s hand and rushing away with the puma in tow.
Will shrugged and looked over at Lenny with a smirk “How about you Lenny? Wanna play some Roar 2k at my crib?”. Lenny looked down at Will and smirked “Sorry man, I gotta see my Chiropractor, but maybe next time.”. The giraffe answered, giving the small goat a fist bump. “Nah you good man, what about you Ar-” Will was about to ask before watching the rhino getting climbed on by his daughters. “Sorry kid, got my hands full with the girls. I promised them some quality time.” Archie said with an apologetic smile as his daughters squealed happily. Will deflated a little and smiled “Hey it’s all good, you guys have fun!” as he waved goodbye to Archie and his daughters.
“Would you like to join Modo?”
Will jumped and turned, looking up to see Modo smirking down at the Goat with his rows of sharp reptilian teeth and goofy yellow eyes. Will noticed him already free from his jersey, wearing a bright pink sleeveless shirt with sparkles and his iconic pink sunglasses. “Uh yeah sure, where are you going?” Will asked a little nervously. Modo’s eyes narrowed a little, his piercings shifting as he leaned dramatically close to Will. “Modo has Tattoo appointment with a special someone, You want to meet, yes?” Modo teased. Modo was aware of how much of a mystery he was to his team, and he liked it that way. Though sometimes he will extend a branch and let his team learn new things about him, especially their newest addition. Will’s eyes widened and his energy returned in full force. “Uh, yeah! I wanna meet whoever this mystery person is dude!” Will cheered. Will quickly grabbed his backpack and hoodie as he followed Modo out into Vineland.
—-------
The streets of Vineland were lively, and always full of life. Ranging from small to large creatures just trying to live their lives and get to where they need to go, whether that’s work or a nice coffee shop on the corner. Will and Modo walked side by side, sometimes stopping when a few Thorn fans wanted to talk or get something signed. Then getting creeped out when Modo hit them with his usual weird, cryptic words and movements, it seemed he was in a rush.
“So, who is this mystery person? Have the rest of the team met them yet?” Will asked as he caught up with Modo, waving back at the fans they were talking to. Modo shrugged “No, usually Modo likes to be mysterious~” he rumbled, his tongue flickering out as he stared at Will with a side eye, leaning in dramatically. As soon as Modo leaned in, he moved back and waved a claw dismissively. “They are tattoo artist Modo really enjoys. Knows how to tattoo skin very nicely.” Modo explained, gesturing to his arm to emphasize his reptilian skin. “They work at shop called Tough Scales, Tattoo and Piercings. Modo gets all work done there.” He adds, poking his nose piercing with a smirk. Then he stops, whipping his arms out widely and almost clothe line Will, who luckily stopped before he was hit. “We’re here!”

The two walked in and Will looked around with wide eyes. The shop looked gnarly and punk. Black walls with intrigue designs lining the wall in beautiful gothic frames. A cool seating area with blood red couches and a Victorian looking coffee table, full of different portfolio books. Will looked around dazed as the smell of antiseptics and ink hit his nose and the sound of buzzing coming from a different area of the shop, the tattoo parlor. Modo walks over to the front desk, where a pig sits with a black gothic hoodie on. She look up at sighed, a tired smile showing on their face “Hey Modo, welcome back. I see you brought a friend.” She blurts, pointing out Will, which catches the goats attention and he quickly jogs over, waving nervously. Modo laughs and pats Will’s head. “Yes, Modo brought friend from team to experience the Modo life! Is Jasper in?” he asks, his eyes lighting up. Will looked up at Modo with a raised eyebrow. Jasper? That’s a new name, and with the way he noticed Modo’s tail thumping on the floor excitedly, it seems that Jasper might be the mystery person he was talking about.
The receptionist laughs lightly “Yeah of course she’s in, though she’s running late with a client at the moment. Just fill out the usual and she will be with you shortly.”. The receptionist hands over a clipboard and pen to the Komodo who quickly takes it, walking over to the couches and using his tail to guide Will with him. Will stumbles, making a small ‘bah’ noise before waving awkwardly at the receptionist and following. Will took his bag off and sat down, looking around again at all of the artwork while Modo fills out the usual paperwork.
“Soooo…Who’s Jasper?” Will asks, leaning over to look at what Modo was writing. It was the typical waiver form in case of any incidents, but with the way Modo was filling it out it definitely wasn’t his first time. “Jasper is Modo’s special someone.” He simply said, looking up from the paper work and smirking down at Will. Will stared confused for a few moments before realization hit him and he gasped “You have a girlfriend!?” he shouted, jumping in his seat and leaning back, hands on his head in surprise.
Modo just laughed in response, leaning back on the leather couch as he wheezed loudly. “Of course I do! Modo is very delicious snack, how could Modo not have partner?~” Modo teased, learning back over the paperwork to finish filling it out. Will just stared with wide eyes, his hands still pressed against his horns. “I don’t know! You never said anything!? Plus you didn’t seem the type to settle down..” Will claimed, his hooves dropping down onto his bag as he looked at Modo. Modo shrugs and stands up. “Hey, Modo enjoys being a mystery. Part of Modo’s charm~” He adds with a little snicker before heading back to the receptionist desk to drop off the waiver and his license. Will quickly followed and hopped right up next to Modo “Wait, so how did you meet her?” Will asked the Komodo, who looked at him before his smile grew and he stood, walking over to the receptionist desk, will following.
The pig receptionist, who Will found out was named Lindy, took the clipboard and gave the lizard a stink eye at the mention of Modo’s first appearance at the shop. Modo looked at Lindy and snickered mischievously. “Don’t even get me started on how those two met. Crazy lizard boy here came bursting in here wanting a fresh new tattoo, crawling all over the walls. Jasper was brand new and I sure as hell wasn’t going to take him, neither was Leno.” Lindy explains.
Suddenly a groan is heard from the back of the parlor. Suddenly out comes a very colorful frog girl. She was short, even shorter than Will and that wasn’t the only thing that shocked him. The frog girl wore circle classes and very Very gothic clothes, from ripped black jeans and chains with some fishnets poking out. An oversized black metal band t-shirt that was tucked into her pants, which were held up by a belt with a cartoonish frog skull. Her skin was bright, mostly lime green, but she also had a few spots of blue on her arms and bright orange eyes. Her hands were covered in rubber gloves as she slowly took them off, glaring at Lindy. “Please don't tell them that story Lin…It’s ridiculous..” She said, tossing the rubber gloves into a trashcan nearby. Will watched as Modo made an excited clicking noise and rushed over to the small frog. “Lovely Solnishko!” He cheered, tackling her into a tight hug. The poor frog girl’s glasses went flying when he tackled her, making her cry out ‘Modo!’ in playful annoyance. Will walked forward towards the hugging couple, picking up Jasper’s glasses and handing them over to her once she was released.
Jasper smiled, giving the goat boy a thanks as she dusted them off with her shirt and put them on. Her eyes adjusted before her smile brightened “oh! You must be Will!” she exclaims. Will blinked, surprised they already knew his name. His gaze flickered between Modo and her, which the big lizard just gave a smirk, his tongue sticking out a little to lick up some falling drool. Jasper took Will’s hand “I’m Jasper, Awesome meeting you dude. Modo told me so much about you!” she cheerfully said. Will snapped back to her and smiled bashfully. “Thanks, uhh..so I guess Modo already talked about me?” he timidly asks. Jasper just beams up at him and nods “oh yeah! He loves talking about you guys, that and Roarball.” she said before she quickly turned her head, hearing her name being called from over her shoulder.
Jasper looked back and waved at the client that she just finished up, a large crocodile with a fresh new tattoo covered in a protective patch. “See you next time Josh! Let's get you guys set up, I gotta go get the big boys stencil ready. Just wait by my station. Do you want your usual hun?” Jasper asks, looking up at Modo. He happily nods and she gives him a small pat on arm twice before walking away to another room. Modo taps Will’s shoulder before flopping on the floor and goofily slithering his way to the station, gently hitting some work benches as he does. He didn’t even need to ask where Jasper’s station was, he has been here plenty of times. Will followed slowly behind and looked over her work station, seeing a bunch of designs ranging from realism to very cartoony gore. He even spotted a Thorn tattoo design in a smaller frame
The tattoo portion of the shop was pretty cozy looking, with different work stations from different artists against some parts of the wall, each station having its own personality depending on the artist that worked in the spot. A small sink in the corner that seemed a bit vintage but looked well taken cared of. The walls were painted black with splattered drops of neons and patterns, with vines and some plants hanging from the ceiling. It seemed very rainforest meets punk, much like the rest of Vineland but with a gothic and punk flair to it. The lighting helped bring it all together with moody LED’s and a giant tv mounted in the corner of the room. It was currently playing some adult cartoon on mute that Will couldn’t recognize. The lighting was also mixed with some bright lamps, one at Jasper’s and another station’s turned on, must be Lindy’s.
Modo sat down dramatically on the seat and looked at Will “So, what does little goat think?” He asks. Will looks at him and blinks, like a deer caught in headlights. He looked over the space, the tattoo work station covered in a bunch of stickers that Will couldn’t even recognize, though he did sneak a look at a Thorns sticker and also a Modo sticker. “They’re pretty chill, very gothic.” he says as he notices the horror movie posters at her station. “Yes, Solnishko very big on creepy horror! Modo thinks it hot!~” Modo purred, her smile growing more as he watched Will find a seat.
“What does that mean?” Will asked, Modo tilted his head confused and Will quickly back tracked. “Oh, the thing you call them. Sol-knee...uhh” He struggled to say it, but Modo noticed what he meant and sat up in his seat quickly. “Ohh! You mean Solnishko! Means Little Sun.” Modo answers, smiling happily at the answer he gave.
Finally Jasper returns with the stencil and a very fruity looking drink for Modo. Modo growls teasingly, making the frog look up with a raised eyebrow and a smile, handing him the drink that he happily accepts. “So, what made you bring one of your teammates along? I thought you enjoyed being mysterious?” Jasper asked. Modo shifted himself in his spot and smiled, putting the drink down on a side table before answering. Will watched as Jasper didn’t even need to ask where Modo wanted the tattoo, she already knew. “Modo thought it was time for team to meet you.” He stated and Jasper hummed as she lined up the stencil. Will leaned forward as he watched, clutching his bag as he gazed into a bit of one of his teammates' lives.
“So, how long have you two known each other?" Will asked, pointing back and forth between them. Jasper sat on her stool and a thoughtful look, adjusting her glasses as she got to work setting up her station once the stencil was placed and drying. “Well-”
“Oo! Oo! Can Modo answer!?” He asked loudly, raising his arm up like a little kid, which looked goofy coming from an 11 foot Komodo. Jasper laughed and waved, letting him talk happily as she got her Tattoo gun set with her inks and needles.
Modo wiggled happily in his seat as he quickly turned and leaned towards Will, excited to tell the story.
-= Flashback =-
It was early July, the sun was hot and Vineland was a humid nightmare. For most it was horrible but for the reptiles and amphibians, big and small, it was their favourite time of the year. Jasper nervously rushed down the sidewalk, bag on her shoulder and a hop in her step. She was about to be late to her first official day as a tattoo artist in Vineland. She was nervous and she just recently got her license after working as an apprentice at Tough Scales shop for a year and today was her time to shine with her first day as a licensed tattoo artist!
Jasper rushed in, seeing Lindy at the front desk who gave the frog an unimpressed snort as she stood up. “You were almost late, Jazzy. Not the best thing on your first day.” Lindy teased and Jasper groaned. “I know…The trams were slow this morning.” Jasper complained. “So what do we have for clients today?” the tree frog asked, making her way over to her work station to clean it up from dust and put her stuff down.
Lindy hummed “well I know I’m fully booked today, Carlo’s isn’t coming in and Leno has some scattered clients. Though, we do have someone for you~” The pig woman teased, making Jasper gasp, turning from her station and jump right in front of her from across the room. The action caused Lindy back up a little as Jasper landed in front of the pig. “Who who who!?” the frog asked quickly, her energy exploding as she bounced in her spot. Lindy laughed and went to the computer, Jasper hot on her tail. “Well, he requested Leno, but I thought since he was a regular I could persuade him to go to you instead. You both seem to enjoy punk and I convinced him to book with you instead, Leno agreed.” Lindy giggled and Jasper squealed.
“Lindy you are AMAZING!" the tree frog cried out, hugging her tightly and Lindy laughed. “Anything for you kid, Leno and I know how much of a pain it was to get new clients when we started so we thought we would help ya out. Though be warned, this guy is a little unique.” Lindy said warningly as Jasper let her go. The frog girl raised an eyebrow “what do you mean ‘unique’?”. Her fingers shot up into the air, creating quotation marks to help emphasize her question.
Lindy sighed “He is an amazing client but he is very energetic and crazy. Plus he’s a Roarball player.” she explains. Jasper gasped loudly “You seriously booked me a Thorns player as my first client?”.
Lindy smiled “Girl, you will be fine, your work is amazing. I know he will love it too.” the pig explained. “Anyways go get your station all cleaned and come take over the front desk. He should be coming in at noon.” the pig woman explained and walked away. Jasper saluted and went to get her station ready. Though internally the frog was panicking. What if he didn’t actually like her work? What if this was out of pity or Lindy and Leno were giving her a tough client to mess with her?
Quickly Jasper shook her head. No, Leno and Lindy were amazing. Tough, but the kind you need to be when you’re dealing with colorful clients. Jasper was the smallest Tattooer in the shop, being a small Tree Frog, Lindy was second and Leno and Carlo’s being tied as the tallest. Jasper looked through the computer, checking emails. As clients came in, Jasper would give them their usual waivers and get their IDs scanned on them. The usual Tattoo receptionist tasks.
Jasper was sitting at the front desk, looking over a new letter on the computer when suddenly the front door burst open. She looked up and her eyes widened at the character in front of her. Standing before her was a giant eleven foot Komodo Dragon, his scales green and shiny and his sharp teeth on full display with his smile as he strode in. His face was covered in gorgeous piercings, ranging from throat piercing to eyebrows, even a big nose piercing sticking out and flashing from the shop lights. He wore a bright yellow sleeveless t-shirt with rips and tears at the neck line, leopard patterns decorating the clothing with a pair of loose green pants to pair. His yellow eyes looked around before landing on Jasper’s small form and a grumbly noise leaving his throat.
Suddenly the giant Komodo made a clicking noise, flopping down on the ground and slithering his way to the front desk. Jasper leaned over in concern, watching as he disappeared in front of the desk. Was he okay? What the hell just happened?
“OH MY GOD!” Jasper suddenly screamed, jumping out of her chair as the guy jumped up, making a hissing and weird guttural noise as he jumpscared her.
Due to the sudden fright, the poor frog girl jumped so high she got herself stuck on the ceiling as she gripped a large branch hanging above the desk for dear life. Jasper was shaking as a leaf as she clung to the large piece of wood like if she let go of it, she would perish. “Seriously Modo, don’t scare my Artists. I already have enough trouble keeping my Piecer here cause of you.” The voice of Lindy rang out in the shop as she walked into the main room to see Modo laughing and Jasper clinging to a branch on the ceiling.
Modo calmed his laughter and looked over at Lindy before smiling widely “Whaaat? Modo was simply having fun!” he claimed and Lindy glared at him. Modo put his claws up in surrender so as to not anger the older woman. “Uhhh, Lindy…” Soon the pig and komodo looked up and noticed Jasper’s panicked face looking down at her as her glasses slid down the front of her nose. “I can’t get down.” Jasper simply said, making Lindy groan softly in response. Lindy turned to Modo with a sharp stare “You got her up there, now get her down.” she huffed out. Modo looked down at Lindy, making a soft chuffing noise before he walked leisurely to one of the walls of the tattoo shop. Soon he happily crawled his way up, and as he made his way to the frog he said “Modo always wanted to crawl on your walls pig lady. Modo’s dreams come true.”. That sentence earned an annoyed oink from Lindy.
Soon Modo reached Jasper, looking her over with a smirk on his face as the frog glared at him a little. Modo tilted his head, the small clinking of his jewelry and piercings reaching Jasper’s ears. “Little frogs are easy fright, yes?” he suddenly asked in a teasing tone, making Jasper’s eyes narrow as she quickly spat out “Hey! It’s not my fault you jumped out of nowhere! Oh crap!-”. Her words were cut off as her glasses slid off her face, their aim headed straight to the floor below, which was a good ten feet down. Jasper’s eyes widened as she watched them fall, realizing now she might have to buy a new pair, ready to watch them shatter.
Though the thoughts were cut short when she watched a thick green tail easily catch her glasses before they fell. Jasper’s eyes soon looked over at Modo who gave her, instead of his usual teasing smirks, a genuine kind smile. Slowly Jasper smiled back and squeaked as Modo grabbed her and ripped her away from the branch, cradling in his arm and onto his chest as he said “Lets get down, yes? Modo is excited to get new artpiece!” he claimed happily before dropping down from the ceiling with Jasper in hand. She squealed and gripped his shirt tightly as he dropped down in front of the desk. Lindy just stared at them with a raised eyebrow, Jasper looking back and quickly hopping out of Modo’s arms.
“U-uh, thank you…Sir..” Jasper awkwardly stuttered, a blush on her cheeks from the embarrassment. Suddenly a green tail jutted in front of her with her glasses secure in its grasp. “Is Modo, you?” he asked, watching her gently take her glasses and fix them on her face. “I..I am Jasper.” she slowly responded, looking up at him with a shy smile. Modo smiled back.
-= End of Flashback =-
Will stared at the two with a confused face, his grip on his bag lost as he placed it on the floor. His hands rested on his knees as he leaned forward to stare closely at his teammate. “Wait, so you scared her to death and got her stuck on the ceiling? That’s how you two met?” Will asked, though he honestly isn’t surprised knowing Modo. The Komodo Dragon was laid down on the chair, turned to bed, arms crossed and his head happily resting in his arms with a dopey smile on his face. His pierced tongue sticking out from the side of his mouth. Jasper was leaned over Modo’s large back as she worked, the buzzing of the Tattoo gun echoing as she worked her magic. “Yeah that’s pretty much what happened, I did his tat and he’s been coming to me for new ones ever since.” Jasper hummed out without thought, her focus more drawn into her work than the conversation. Modo nodded a little “I thought she looked delicious~” he purred and his smile grew a little more as he felt Jasper lightly whack at his back with her free hand.
Will blinked as he watched them interact. It was so surreal to see a glimpse of his teammate's life. He wasn’t even aware that Modo was even interested in a specific person. He only really knew him when they were with the team, not on his own. So finally seeing it in person was like he was meeting a whole new person. “So, who else has met Jasper? I assume at least Lenny or Olivia know about her.” Will asked, finally leaning back and gesturing with a hoove towards the Tree Frog. Jasper leaned back from her work, sighing softly as she started at it intensely, one hand holding her tattoo gun and the other a paper towel. “I’m pretty sure you’re the first one Will.” She responded as she took a second to take a sip from Modo’s drink, earning her a guttural growl from the Komodo that watched her with a devilish smirk. “Wait seriously? Why not tell the rest of the team then?” Will asked, looking at Modo.
Modo blinked at Will before a mischievous little smirk grew on the Komodo’s face “Modo like personal and work life separate. Though now Modo’s work is becoming more like personal family. So, Modo think, why not merge them now?” He simply answered. Will gave Modo an understanding look and also smiled happily, knowing that Modo sees the team and himself as family. Jasper gasped and turned dramatically from her work on Modo’s expansive back “Wait! Do I finally get to come to your games more!? Do I get to meet the rest of your team?” She asked excitedly. Modo turned to look at her from his position, a small smile on his face as he responded “Of course, will get you best seats so you can get best look at Modo as I flex muscles!”. Soon Modo flexes his bicep closest to Jasper. Jasper, causing her to giggle.
Soon enough, hours went by and Jasper finally finished up Modo’s newest Tattoo piece. They stood just by the entrance of the Shop as Jasper lectured Modo about her aftercare routine. Will standing between them like a child watching his parents argue. “Please remember to not take the second skin off the second you leave the shop, it needs to stay on for a few days, not seconds.” Jasper huffed as she looked over her work, making sure the skin was on properly. Modo groaned softly and used his tail to encircle the small frog closer to him as he leaned down, Jasper let out a small ribbit as Modo titled her face up. “Modo only wishes to show off Solnishko's gorgeous work. How can I not?” he simply answers. The flustered frog pouts a little and glares up at Modo before sighing. “Can you at least wait till I get home to rip it off so I can clean it for you?” she compromises, and Modod simply hums before quickly leaning down and pecking her. “Fine, but don’t blame Modo if covering comes off early.” he teasingly states before backing away, only to get another round of lecturing from the small tree frog as she cartoonishly jumps in place.
Will watched with a smile as he stood by the door, hand clutching the strap of his backpack, watching Jasper berate the tall Komodo. Will knew Modo could easily push off the yelling, but it was obvious that he was enjoying riling up his partner and enjoying her temper. Jasper, after berating the happy looking komodo who looked to be enjoying being yelled at way too much, turned to Will and smiled, fixing her glasses. “Thanks for coming by, it was lovely meeting one of Modo’s teammates!” Jasper said. Will beamed back, running a hoof through his hair. “Yeah! It was great meeting you too. Maybe we can hang out more, it’s a once in a lifetime change of seeing this side of the big guy.” Will said, making Jasper laugh softly and agree, exchanging numbers. Soon Jasper was waving the two goodbye.
“See you at home Modo! Lovely meeting you Will!”. Those were the last words the goat heard before Modo led him out of the shop waving goodbye. The two Roarball stars making their way down the street in the mid afternoon rush of Vineland.
“Hey, Olivia is wondering if we should do a team dinner tonight. She wants to show off the new outfits her and Jett found.” Will mentioned, showing his phone to Modo who leaned down. “Modo will have to pass, Jasper and I have movie night.” he stated simply. Will hummed before smirking. “Want me to let the team know?” he asked, giving Modo a knowing look, which the Komodo dragon stared down at the goat before smirking back. A nod was all it took for Will to easily respond.
