Domaine du Layet Chapelle

The chapel was constructed at the turn of the twentieth century and is currently being restored. The facades & relief were sculpted by Madeleine Yeatman, the daughter-in-law of Gustave Eiffel. The chapel, with the consent of the owners, has seen at least 176 marriages and baptisms as well as visitors such as Matisse, Lady Dickens the daughter of Charles, Princess Marie Bonaparte, Paul Deschanel, Georges Leygues, Paul Boncour, Jean Aicard, the sculptor Zadkine, and concert pianists Gaby, Robert and Jean Casadessus.
