dear summer, I’m sorry for all of the mean things I said about you when I was hot and sweaty

took a walk around the local park while the sun warmed my face on a cool summer day, read the waves on a bench drenched with sunlight. Woolf described the way sunlight changes the appearances of objects for two pages straight and now my heart isn’t the same.

• late august, last days of summer, new semester looming in the distance…. I can feel the autumn in the air.

today started out well and then got really shitty and now i’m just dealing with feelings of self hatred and hopelessness oops

my exams got moved up cause of the online learning schedule, but now the cram period is over and I can look forward to a summer of working on projects and reading for pleasure
