Viral Interventions- Final Documentation
Due to the length of our video I wasnβt able to upload or save it but Iβve included a link to Saraβs post with the full video:)
To realize our price my group and I went to the Womanβs park to set up our game board. We finished any lettering and connections we still needed to do and chose a nice grassy area to play. Due the fact it was finals week and we were all busy, we could only meet early Tuesday morning, so not many people were at the park while we were. Although we didnβt get as many people playing as we would have like we still got some good interactions from woman around the park.
Runtime: 9 minutes and 16 seconds

viral interventions- propose
Proposal #1
This proposal consists of a large-scale outdoor game board divided into conflict zones from Fortnite, reflecting stages from recruitment to aftermath. A narrative will thread themes of care, dignity, and sacrifice throughout, prompting players to reflect on the human cost of war. Red string will connect each cardboard tile. Movement is dictated by oversized dice and moral questions, with obstacles and collaborative opportunities shaping the journey. Decision points prompt moral choices impacting the game's trajectory and outcome. The finale tests players' commitment to care and dignity. Choices yield rewards and consequences that may lead to sabotage or earning the battle-pass!

Presentation- To present our sentence to the world, my group and I created several signs with our sentence on them. We then drove to publix and held our signs up outside the door, documenting our interactions. We mostly got a lot of weird looks and stares.

Final Proposal: βBattlefield: Where Care & Dignity Win the Battle Passβ
Game Board: The game board will be constructed on a large scale, utilizing outdoor space such as a park or open field. The board will feature a grid layout divided into zones representing different stages of conflict, from recruitment to aftermath.
Narrative and Storytelling: A compelling narrative will guide players through the game, weaving together themes of care, dignity, and sacrifice in times of conflict. As players progress through the game board, they will encounter narrative vignettes and challenges that challenge their preconceptions and prompt reflection on the human cost of war.
Gameplay:
Players will begin the game with a clear objective: to navigate the challenges of war while upholding principles of care and dignity. Whether they choose to prioritize the safety of civilians, negotiate peaceful resolutions, or engage in acts of compassion towards their enemies, players must strategize and collaborate to achieve their goals.
Movement and Progression: Players will move through the game board by rolling oversized dice and advancing their game pieces accordingly. Along the way, they will encounter obstacles, challenges, and opportunities for collaboration that shape the trajectory of their journey.
Decision Points: Throughout the game, players will encounter decision points that prompt them to make choices with moral implications. These decisions may involve risking personal safety to help others, choosing between conflicting priorities, or determining the fate of captured enemies. Each decision will have consequences that impact the course of the game and the outcome of the narrative.
Endgame: The game will culminate in a final challenge or objective that tests players' commitment to care and dignity in the face of adversity. Depending on their actions and choices throughout the game, players may earn rewards, face consequences, or unlock new pathways that deepen their understanding of the themes explored.

For this project we changed the color of a large object without using paint or foil. I chose yarn because I wanted to experiment with texture and abstraction of shapes. The yarn has a fluffy texture, and made the shelves get puffier and less rectangular. Changing not only the color, but the shape and how the objects perceived visually. Almost all my classmates wanted to touch my piece at the critique, an interesting response. By using fluffy yarn, an attractive texture, people are more drawn to interact with the art work.
Readymade Color: Process
I wove fluffy yarn through individual holes in the shelves to wrap the sides. I then wrapped the yarn vertically to cover the legs. I chose a color blocking method to try to conserve yarn and make the piece more visually interesting.

Everyday Monuments: Variable Arrangements
Everyday Monuments: Final
For this project we chose an object smaller than 3 inches and scaled it up to a 3 foot paper-mache sculpture. I chose my key fob because itβs probably my most valuable possession besides the car itself, I always have my keys on me. My jetta was the first car I ever drove and took me from New Mexico to Miami. I never really thought about the design on it before this project and all its details. It puts into perspective how we overlook mundane objects but so much thought was put into making them. It also put into perspective for me how important βstuffβ is in our lives, and we view material goods that are mass produced like this key fob. I enjoyed learning how to paper-mache, i had to problem solve a lot with how to position the key so the paper-mache could dry without damaging another section of it. Now that I have some experience with chicken wire and paper-mache I would propose pick a more angular object that be easier to craft.
