When I was young someone told me that moles are where the badness from inside us breaks through. It was meant as a joke but I somehow took it for granted. And looking in the mirror seeing the crazy amount of moles covering my body I started to wonder how big that badness inside me must be. Later every now and then someone asked me why i wouldn't get some of the birthmarks removed which ended up in me starting to think my skin was ugly. It took me for ever to make peace with these 'flaws' and even longer to start to like them. Only now I manage to see how they are the stars of my body that make me who i am. 🌟 This is only the tiniest example of how flaws are often what make us unique. 🌟 Taken for week 15 themed #imperfection for my project #laurazalenga17weeks

What if I fall? . Finally I managed to complete the list of topics for the upcoming project: 17 Week of Creativity (more info under my last post). I will announce the topic for the first week on Monday Oct 2nd. During the next days I will already share the rules, some tips, feature criteria etc :) I am slowly getting excited!! I am so happy I found Sophia to model for me. How could you not fall in love with this face (and she was a lot of fun too 😊)? Sometimes it's nice to just do something you like to do even though it has been done quite some times before by others. I normally try to avoid it as originality is one of the things I admire most but it was just fun to create this. Thank you Anthony Castro for helping me taking this.

Again and again I notice how I see people through completely different eyes when I photograph them. Even people I have known for years. As soon as I look at their face through my camera I analyse it on a whole different level. It's crazy how many things like emotions and memories blend into the way we see a person. How we don't see 'flaws' if we like them and how we don't see beauty if we don't like them... It's fascinating how our heart tricks our eyes.

Laying on rooftops of beautiful Italian cities when the sun is raising... ● I might be a little weird :D But being normal is pretty boring anyway right?
