"When they were doing Wings at the Speed of Sound they asked me to go along to the MPL building, Soho Square, where Paul had got a studio in the basement which was a complete recreation of the control room - he'd absolutely measured to the inch - he'd recreated the control room from Abbey Road that they'd - and the desk on which they'd recorded Sgt. Pepper. Even to the point that - I think Linda must have taken a photo of the studio through the window and they'd created, they'd blown this photograph up so that as you looked at that wall it was as if you were looking into the studio, even the detail of the clock on the studio wall: they'd got a tiny little clock [and installed it in the blown-up photo] and it actually worked, and there was a false door where you'd go out the door and then down the stairs to the studio [in Abbey Road], there was a false door so you could open the door and there was one step before you came to the wall. So it had been lovingly recreated and I just thought that was - I found that very endearing, I thought it was lovely."
