I think a lot of people really don't understand that even if something does seem hopeless, you should pursue it. The reason so many people fail at the things they want to do is that they don't have enough faith in themselves. This isn't to say that if you are failing at something, it's because you're not believing hard enough; it's just that if you're doing something you're passionate about and it feels like it's just failure after failure, rejection after rejection, maybe you have to keep trying, over and over. Having self confidence will bring you far especially when youre uncertain of your result, failure helps you build different approaches and strategies so you can be stronger next time.
Many people don't seem to dream big anymore, especially young children and teens. As for myself, I don't necessarily have any huge dreams, like going to the moon or saving hundreds of lives, but for somebody to strive for that goal is beautiful even if they don't make it there in the end.
I personally have given up on some of my own goals, sometimes because I've become hopeless in it, leading me anywhere, but things like that remain in my heart; no matter how successful it remains, I remember just how happy it can make me, even without the recognition and the experience you gain.
It is easy for people to become demotivated very fast, especially when they try something for the first time and fail. It's important to remember that many other people in that field most definitely didnβt get a perfect result on their first attempt.
If youβre feeling hopeless about your goals, peers and friends are a wonderful source of encouragement. Even people online, strangers and people who have already achieved a fraction of their dreams can so easily help you on your path and give you the right resources.
Whatever it may be that you're striving for, remember: don't give up.
