Yup cue clearing of the throat.  “I suppose I owe Kay an apology, then.”

“I would be surprised that she noticed, but I’m really not. The girl sees everything.” Maybe a little too much.

“Not sure if it’s exactly as advertised but yeah. Didn’t notice too much, though, ‘cause I was looking at you the same way.”

“I’m told I apparently have a soft spot for them.  There’s a reason Kay calls me her father.” No you arent, Lang, and he knows it.

He snorted. “I’m pretty sure there’s more than one reason why the little crow-girl calls you her father,” he pointed out, “and why she keeps ribbing me about being a child of divorce.” No, he’s not. Not even a little.

Lang snorted at that, yet his arms tightened around him once he moved closer. “Thanks. I’ll remember that in case I need it in the future.”

“What, you suddenly need my word for it?”

"Sarcasm, Mr. Prosecutor," he chuckled. "That 'than some' really made me lose a little faith in myself." Now he's just playing it up.

“Well, you’re more honest than some, I’ll give you that.” He smiled as he moved in a little closer.

Lang snorted at that, yet his arms tightened around him once he moved closer. “Thanks. I’ll remember that in case I need it in the future.”

He smiled.  “Since when are you so willing to admit that?”

“Damn, can’t a guy just be honest?” the agent grumbled. As if you hadn’t been thinking it for years, Lang.

He’s got plenty of wolf cuddles, those are basically his specialty. Wrapping his arms around him, he let him lean again him and rested his head against the other man’s. All he can hope is that no one ruins the moment–he’s got a reputation.

Yup, it’s like they never stopped all of this because he easily fits right against Lang’s side.  “I did miss you.”

Being like this is so comfortable, it's like they never even stopped. Hell, all this time it felt like they were silently still dating with all the texting, but now it was more official. "I missed you, too," he admitted.

“I guess it is,” he echoed. There was another moment of hesitation before he leaned over and kissed the prosecutor on the cheek. The fact that they were previously way past that point isn’t lost on him, but he isn’t sure what else to do at the moment.

For a few moments, he’s actually speechless. Stunned into silence because was this really happening? “You’re serious?” Of course he was serious, this was Miles Edgeworth. “I…I wouldn’t mind.” he says finally.
