backstory ! (tw: car accident, death, drug abuse, od )

this handsome boy is alfoe lancaster, and he’s like a third generation in hollywood. his family is like one of those big hollywood dynasties like his grandfather is a big name/oscar winning director and producer and his dad an uber-famous actor ( and so was his mother ). but his family’s story is also a hollywood tragedy. like, they probably made an e! true hollywood story about them ( is that even a thing still ?? ).

so story time...alfie was born the youngest of identical twins. his brother, henry, was born ten minutes before he did, and for the first few years of their lives, they were inseparable as it was expected. but when the boys were ten, they were in a car accident with their mom and henry suffered severe head trauma and passed away.

they each dealt with the loss their own way. alfie’s dad threw himself at work, taking project after project just so he would be doing something and spending less and less time at home. his mother found her solace in pills that would take her out. and alfie was just lost and angry at the world, and maybe some survival guilty followed him too.

with time, his father found his way back to his old self, but his mother was never the same. the woman blamed herself for what had happened, and even being around alfie was hard at times. five years after henry passed arrived home from being at his friend’s house all afternoon and found the woman passed out on her bed. he tried to wake her up, but couldn’t, nor could the paramedics that came after his 911 call.

it’s been about four years and alfie still blames himself for not being there to stop his mother and not being a good enough son so that she would want to live for him. but those are the sort of feelings that he makes sure to keep as hidden from the world as possible. and from himself too when he can.

his mourning process was basically party nonstop and drink too much for someone that young and dabbling with drugs. he was part of that whole la scene of kids with too much money and not enough common sense or parental control. until his father said enough was enough and threatened to send him to rehab.

he did chill after that (but only lowkey ok) and that was when he got into acting. he had had a few small roles but didn’t decide to give it a try until he was about seventeen. so he’s very new in the business but at the same time not new at all because he was raised in the spotlight.

he got a few roles in movies and thought ‘yeah, i could do this’. he enjoyed it a lot more than he thought he would and found his passion, it also gave him something to work for and put his energy on. and believe me, he desperately needed that. now, at nineteen he has a couple of strong roles in his resumé is one of the biggest acting promises of his generation.

personality !

if one thing can be said about alfie though is that he is one charismatic guy. he is cool and outgoing and has a sort of magnetic personality that draws people in. also very confident and a bit narcissistic too (find me an actor that isn’t).

he’s a bon vivant and enjoys the luxury and all the nice things in life. fast cars, hot people, aged scotch and expensive toys. he’s super self-indulgent and spares no time, or money to find pleasure. he doesn’t settle and if he isn’t satisfied he will just move on to bigger and better things.

it should also be noted that alfie can be very sarcastic. he will constantly say things for his own amusement and sometimes people won’t even realize that he doesn’t actually mean it, and he won’t correct them because, again, he’s doing it for his own amusement and being a pos.

alfie would never be happy doing anything else, honestly. he’s restless and needs the dynamism that acting allows. he doesn’t like being still or not having something to do. he is always on the go. if he isn’t working, he’s partying. i can tell you that he does not sleep a lot.

but there’s also the fact that he doesn’t have an easy time falling asleep. he’s an insomniac and it’s a battle when he has early morning call times. he should really see a sleep specialist, but what is self care and where can this one find it? because his version of that is not very healthy.

he has some self-destructive tendencies and it all goes back to his the guilt he feels for what happened with his brother. gotta prove to himself that he didn’t deserve living when his brother didn’t. will constantly tell everyone that henry was the better twin. also, will not talk about it to anyone. seriously, asking about his mother and brother is a big no-no.

he will let the paparazzi catch him out and about, will let them speculate about his relationships, but believe it or not, he’s actually a very private person with things that matter. alfie keeps a lot guarded on his mind and loves repressing and avoiding anything that might bring him down. very healthy.

he is a party boy and yes he enjoys those a lot! alfie’s aesthetics is leo dicaprio’s parties on a yacht in saint tropez surrounded by hot models or something like that. he is also a bit of a casanova – okay it’s more than a bit. he really enjoys sex. he doesn’t go giving people false hope that sex will lead to anything else (what is commitment), but has probably broken a few hearts. tbh his relationships are always messy because of that.

though he parties hard, he works hard too. he does love what he does and has a constant need to prove himself to pretty much everyone. he is very professional when he is working. directors just love working with him because of that.

also, i forgot to mention this but he’s bisexual. he hasn’t come out to the public or the media, but his friends and family know, of course.

plot ideas !

brotp: this is the ultimate bro! they would have known each other for years now, they’re best friends and everyone knows it. the ben to his matt! alfie loves this guy as his own family tbh. gime me a bromance, guys!

childhood best friend: alfie and this person grew up together and have known each other since diapers. their parents are friends and they were probably each other’s first friends. he trusts them a lot and knows he can talk to them about anything and not be judged. maybe it could be a bit of childhood sweethearts? 

firsts: these are the two (one guy and one girl) that were alfie’s firsts. maybe they weren’t even together at the time, but just friends who were curious and thought the other was hot and trusted them enough to explore their sexuality together. they could still hook up sometimes or just have that connection.

the broken heart: alfie is oblivious to this, but the character is someone who had his heart broken by alfie. maybe they are friends, or maybe it’s just someone who had a crush and was turned down for some reason.

friends with benefits: these are just friends who hook up and haven’t blurred the lines between the physical and emotional connection. it’s easy in a very no-strings-attached sort of way, but it doesn’t mean they don’t care about each other as friends. i can imagine post-sex conversations about life.

friends with benefits and drama: the basics of a friends with benefits, but these two are actually very possessive over each other? they will tell anyone and everyone they feel nothing for each other but the second the other is with someone they’re playing the part of jealous boyfriend/girlfriend.

the ex-girlfriend: they dated and while it lasted they were the it couple of young hollywood, but then he cheated on her (or we can plot something else too) and she broke up with him when he found out. alfie still cares about her and feel like a jerk for what he did, but what is done is done. maybe there are still some feelings there?

the fan favorite: this can be someone he has worked with or just someone who is a friend. but the point is that fans love these two together and they even have a ship name. they could have hooked up before or it could be just platonic chemistry, i just think it would be super cute.

the drunken hookup: they got drunk at some party and he woke up the next day naked next to them without truly remembering what happened (blame the tequila). alfie left before they woke up and the plan was to not see them any time soon, but surprise surprise they happen to be in the same movie (could be cast or crew. or even another show tbh) or maybe they’ve friends in common or for extra drama ‘fuck that’s the girl my friend is head over heels for’. it’s a little awkward now and they’re both pretending nothing happened.
