i first watched this when i was 13 and rewatching it now felt weirdly personal..

my life wasn't the same as the movie, but it reminded me of certain friendships i've had and it showed me how easy it is to get pulled into things just to fit in.

i’ve had a few "friendships" like evie in different ways, but the one that surprised me the most was someone who was actually at my level, not the “popular girl” type. we had our conflicts before, and i was too naive to fully trust her, but i didn’t expect how things would end up.

there’s a scene near the end that stuck with me because it reminded me of being 14. we were both there when it happened, but afterwards she betrayed me, and lied about me to make herself look better. there are obviously things that did and didn't happen.

i tried lying my way out of it at first, but it didn’t go anywhere in the end the truth came out and it helped.

anyway, i think this movie will stick with me for a while.
