21. Without getting into any discourse, just thinking as a writer approaching characters, would you ever write about your NOTP? If you did, do you think that would change how you feel about it? (If you’ve done this, how did it go?)

i cant think of a specific notp tbh, like i have characters i dont care about so i dont write about them, that is the closest i can think of. in general i think im pretty open-minded about ships, so even though i would be a little weirded out over, idk, kyoya/yuki or something lol i could probably still make it work

i dont really see why i would though other than for funsies maybe. or an artist i like made a piece abt them that gets stuck in my brain. something like that

25. Someone you know outside of fandom has heard that you’re a writer. “I’d like to read something of yours!” they say with sincere enthusiasm. “Where can I find it?” What’s your answer?

12. Do you write in order, jump around the draft, or a mix? Something else?

always in order!! even if i have a specific order of events in my head/written down i can never bring myself to jump around between scenes.

most of the time i deviate from my plans anyway bc i get a new idea that i think would be fun that changes the way the next scenes play out, so this way really works best for me.

17. When you get a new fic idea, what does that look like in your mind? Does it play out like a film? Do you imagine lines of dialogue or a certain moment? Does a character just sit there staring at you?

mm it varies! most fic ideas just start out as vibes and when i try to come up with an actual plot i can see the movie of it in my head lol

if im lucky, there is a line of dialogue or a certain moment but usually these come later while im thinking up the plot.

19. It's a lovely morning in fandom land and a horrible goose is running rampant through your folders. How many WIPs is it going to step on?

oh god this is going to be embarrassing......

so first there are my mayblade folders for current and past prompts, those are already nine wips (one of which i will hopefully post soon)

then i have a request folder with currently two wips (there are more requests in my ask box but i havent started on these)

and the rest is not organized in the slightest, thats twenty-eight more wips...

which makes it thirty-nine wips total. i have never counted my wips before wth that is too many. put some back

the most used additional tag is Fluff lol, followed by Post-Canon, Hurt/Comfort, Lowercase and Near Death Experiences

(i only have ten works on ao3 but when i think about my wips... yep this seems on brand)

14. Is there a word or phrase you intentionally use in every fic?

hmm intenionally... since i mostly write about kyoya i always have him scowl and frown and scoff and glare lol and almost never smile because thats how i see his character acting

(for shits and giggles i looked this up in in this short life: 17 scowls, one of which was kakeru, the rest was kyoya; and 27 smiles, most of which were tsubasa, kyoya has only smiled twice so far... in the flashback scene i am writing for the next chapter lol)

tbh i try not to sound repetitive so if i noticed a phrase i use in every fic, it would probably bother me and i could never use it again smh

oh! i do intentionally use 'says' more than other words for dialogue, does that count?

18. If you have noticed themes emerging in your writing, what are they? What broad themes and topics do you enjoy exploring?

listen. i mostly write short fics and mostly for shipping purposes so finding an overarching theme in most of these is pretty much impossible. my brand is smooshing two characters (one of which is usually kyoya) together until they kiss. or at least hold hands or something.

i will say i noticed a trend that i have especially with kyoya (bc he is my special little guy) of deviating from this plot to explore his trust issues and establish friendships and being known for who you are and learn that that is not as scary as it first sounds. baring your insecurities and past mistakes and letting the people you trust judge you based on your worst self -- and im sure that all that has nothing to do with me as a person. uh

2. Has writing a fic ever changed your opinion of a character?

honestly all the time. i have my faves and most of the time i only read and write about these characters but the supporting cast for a fic is rarely limited to just your faves soo.... ive written about some characters i usually don't care about. and that has to make me think more deeply about them than i would ever do without that context.

one example would be jack who i first wrote about for cheeseshipping purposes lol. so i had to try to see him through shipping goggles and i found i actually liked him more than i thought. so maybe "changed my opinion" isnt quite right, more like writing fic made me explore a character further than just surface level and i unexpectedly found a lot of things that appealed to me hehe

now i actually like jack quite a bit

3. Tell us about a headcanon you invented for a fic

omg i have so many. for in this short life i practically invented kyoya's whole backstory and also had to invent a lot of blader gang (and specifically face hunters) related headcanons.

for an old fic that i havent finished i developed the headcanon that benkei would need to go to culinary school and now thats so essential to his character for me that i make it canon in all of my fics lol. i also like to imagine that he then becomes a famous cook and opens his own restaurant (but not a fast food/burger restaurant like in zero g -- i am not a fan of that actually OTL)
