#ReadingPride β Day 5: Queer book where the protagonist has a cool job
Rules for Ghosting by Shelly Jay Shore
Is it weird that I would totally volunteer in a funeral home if the opportunity arose? β¦Anyways, this was the queer book that came to my mind for this prompt. Excellent and original in every way β the protagonist, Ezra, is trans and queer, and heβs simply trying to work through his family drama while navigating romance in his family-run Jewish funeral home.

Delilah Green Doesnβt Care by Ashley Herring Blake
Iβm currently obsessed with Ashley Herring Blakeβs books! They are the perfect amount of drama, humor, sexy, and itβs not too sickeningly romantic. This series, in particular, has been very good. I just finished the second book and am looking to the next one.

#ReadingPride β Day 3: Queer book that has been on your TBR too long
Less by Andrew Sean Greer
This is a Pulitzer-prize winning queer book and I am embarrassed that Iβve not read it yet.
#ReadingPride β Day 2: Queer book that reminds you of home.
The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune
I wasnβt exactly sure how to respond to this prompt β I am interpreting it as βwhat queer book makes me think of home.β To which I would unequivocally say that it is TJ Kluneβs book, The House in the Cerulean Sea. I adore this book so much and I am over-the-moon that they are making an animated series adaptation!
I think TJ Kluneβs other novel, Under the Whispering Door, is probably a close second. Definitely makes me feel like home as well. No one does queer, found-family like Klune.

#ReadingPride β Day 1: First queer book you remember reading.
Keeping You a Secret by Julie Anne Peters (2005)
I was in high school when I read this book. I was still figuring out my sexuality at the time, but I knew I liked girls, so I remember looking specifically for wlw romance YA books. Julie Anne Peters was one of the popular queer YA novel writers in the 2000s.
